There was a line to order and we waited maybe 20min. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is limited seating and it's a tight space both inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few dead tables by the line to order cause of the narrow entry way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was pretty good but the portions were small, especially for the price. The other stacks locations and Hawaiian brunch places have a lot bigger portions from what I remember. Not sure if they're related but the menus seem pretty similar. The corned beef was well seasoned but could have been a little more crispy.

Always a favorite spot to frequent after doctors appointments, procedures, or "just because". The "go to " order is California omelette with avocado on top and a side of buttermilk pancakes. Ask for an extra plate and coffee and its a meal that is my favorite. 5/5

Their crepes are SO good and SO filling! I've tried other items on their menu, but their crepes are my go to! I usually order the banana nutella crepe, replace banana with strawberry and add the cream! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their service is fast paced and has seating inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My husband and I were craving breakfast, so we decided to try out this spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nice because it has a Hawaiian island vibe to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You have to order and pay before you get seated! We ordered Buttermilk Waffle, Island Chilaquiles, and Loco Moco. Everything was so good! I like how there's a lot of different meat options for the Loco Moco and you can even upgrade to fried rice. The waffle was fluffy and good! Price is reasonable! I'll be back to try out the other dishes!

Stacks is my families "go to" after doctors appts and when labs are taken where we have to be fasting ( NPO). Their club sandwich is always a favorite as well as their california avocado omelet. Their service can be hit or miss. But food is always good. 4/5

This is my first time here and the food is delicious, plus I picked up a Pina Colada Smoothie . Everyone is welcoming and nice. I decided to split a Crepe order with a friend and it was more than enough! It came with a salad too but just the one crepe was delicious and enough for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great music playing in the background, it has a Hawaiian theme which I love and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Always a pleasant treat to come out here and enjoy the food. Grandma treated us out for brunch after her lab work. Dropped by just after 9am and it was busy inside but still some tables open. Ordered the Spam Masubi Plate Weekly Special, Regular Pancakes with Egg and Bacon, and the Portuguese Sausage Fried Rice plate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was bright and cheery, the waiters were friendly and efficient, tables were cleaned on time to allow other diners to find an open spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So glad they are located so close to my place.

AMAZING prices and great food omg, I was hesitant at first but once I went here I realized it did not disappoint. Everything about the experience was great, and I'm pretty sure it's a small business too! They were able to add strawberry and whip cream to my pancake for no extra charge as well!

What a great little breakfast place! One of the best in Mission Viejo. We got their spam musubi and meat lovers omelette. Service was quick and efficient and our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Incredible smoky flavour from the omelette and a nice crispy spam bits perfectly complimented the rice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice vibrant feeling in the restaurant, a great way to start your day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Canadian Bacon Benedict, with home fried potatoes swapped for tater tots
    J A.

Went to Stacks Pancake House for breakfast this morning and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Canadian Eggs Benedict and swapped the home-fried potatoes for tater tots -- great choice! The ordering system is a little different: you order and pay at the counter, they hand you a basket with napkins, utensils, and a table number stand, then you choose your own seat. I asked for water and they gave me a disposable cup along with an entire carafe of ice water. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only small gripe was that my table hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest, but when I flagged down a young employee, she was very kind and immediately wiped it down with a smile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I opted to sit indoors, but there's also outdoor seating with umbrellas available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (There's a restroom on-site too, though I didn't use it.) The food arrived quickly, looked beautiful, and tasted amazing! Everything was hot, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I'd highly recommend Stacks to anyone looking for a hearty, satisfying breakfast. I'll definitely be back!

If you are looking for a place with an Aloha spirit: look no further then stacks pancake house. Our family craves the food we love so much on the Island. It has such a warm, family feeling the second you walk in. And everyone is making sure you are doing ok or need refills of water, more syrup for your macadamia nut pancakes, or just want to talk about how delish their food is. Thank you for all you do, it doesn't go unnoticed!

Avocado omelette and Hawaiian iced latte
    Lucy O.

Stacks is one of the best if not the best breakfast spot in Mission Viejo. Everything I have tried has been amazing. The last time I went, I ordered the avocado omelette and the Hawaiian iced latte. The omelette is very yummy and they give you plenty of food. I was able to customize my omelette by requesting ham and no cheese. I love that they include plenty of avocado on top and I chose fruit on the side. Even better than the omelette was the Hawaiian iced latte. Wow! I was truly impressed by this latte. It has such delicious flavors such as macadamia nut but is not overly sweet. You can tell that they use quality coffee in their lattes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stacks has both indoor and outdoor seating areas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I know this place can get pretty crowded, especially during the weekends. It was not as crowded when we went around 1 p.m. on a Sunday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did feel that the cashier could have been friendlier as he was not the most welcoming, but our server was super sweet! I love that this place adds a Hawaiian twist to their menu options. It really stands out from other breakfast spots around the area.

Do they still serve gluten-free pancakes and GF waffles?

When does the location at Santa Margarita and Marguerite open?

    Now open

Has anybody tried the gluten free pancakes or waffles, I am curious as to whether or not they are any good?

I get the pancakes and I enjoy them. They have loads of choices so that you can always find something else if pancakes aren't your thing. I haven't had the waffles to be fair, but I assume it's similar to the pancakes.

    Are there any vegan options?

The menu doesn't specifically state that there are vegan options (most pancake batters use eggs), but there are three salad options, I think. You can ask them to leave the meat and cheese off one of those. The chicken on the grilled chicken salad is…

Is this a dog friendly place?

    Yes, there’s an outdoor patio.

Do you order first before getting a table?

    Yes!

    Is breakfast served all day?

    Yes, til they close (2pm)

Can we call beforehand and pick up an order?

If they pick up the phone...

Ariana helped us and was an absolute sweetheart -- even let us sample a pastry we were debating on before we committed. That kind of thing goes a long way, especially when you're trying to decide between six things that all look amazing in the case. The bottomless hot coffee or iced tea depending on the day, and the frequent special offers - including free pancake flights and / or BOGO entree deals - when you register a phone number for rewards are noteworthy. The food is also great quality, with lots of healthy (the Garden Harvest Omelette is a favorite) and slightly more calorific (all of the "Bennys") options. Sadly they've at least temporarily lost their best menu item, a Habanero Pork Belly Benny that was so much a default for me that I didn't even need to see a menu before ordering. Hopefully the Bacon Jam famine is short and not recurring. The last great reason to recommend Snooze is the service. We originally found it through Yelp and saw people raving about the homemade food and it absolutely lived up to the reviews. I ordered the Denver omelet and it was excellent. The eggs were perfectly airy and creamy without being runny. The flavor was simple but spot on and the avocado paired really well with it. Nothing felt off or overdone. We also tried a few other dishes at the table. The chilaquiles were fantastic. The tortilla chips had a great crunch and were not soggy at all. Even though they looked heavily sauced in pictures the ratio was actually perfect. Enough salsa for flavor while still keeping the chips crispy. The salsa itself was very good and the egg on top was perfectly runny and yolky which was a big plus. The version with added cheese was also great. Service really stood out. One of our friends asked for no cheese on their chilaquiles and it accidentally came out with cheese. The staff handled it so kindly. They took it back immediately and as an apology one of the owners or cooks came out personally and brought us complimentary pancakes. That small gesture really showed how much they care. The owners were incredibly sweet and kept checking in asking if everything was good and sharing how much care and time they put into making everything homemade. You could genuinely feel that passion. Huge props to Forest Cafe. I would absolutely recommend it. A great little brunch and breakfast spot and definitely a place we will be coming back to.
