The teachers I have had have all been great, and the classes are available for different levels of students and adaptable for your energy and body ability. The studios are lovely and soothing, and I will be joining full time once my trial membership is up. My favorite class so far is Gentle Flow with Liasa K. Not only is it perfect for someone who has done yoga before but is out of practice as well as someone who has asthma on a bad asthma day, but the 9:30AM time slot is perfect for me to make class right after dropping my son off at school.

It is pay what you can so i think i did $10-$15, i love and appreciate this idea so much. i got a juice beforehand at the place next door which was nice. The staff were friendly and the teacher made a point of speaking to me before and after i assume because i wasnt a familiar face. I would definitely recommend this location.

Great spot for a full-body workout with instructors who actually know your name and make you feel…read moreat home. The free intro class was super helpful--Girlie walked me through all four class types and gives extra attention to newcomers. Classes break down like this: 'Align' feels more yoga-based, 'Define' leans into weights, and 'Classic' mixes both. After about 10 classes, I definitely feel stronger and more toned, even going twice a week. Plus, the schedule is flexible. When I was out sick for 2 weeks , Jazmine checked in on me and even added a class credit without me asking. As someone new, it really boosted my confidence and made me feel like they genuinely care about their members. Only downside: the Classic class is so popular that (IMO) it can get a bit packed.

Spoiler alert: it absolutely humbled me--in the best way possible. The workout was fire--low-impact but insanely effective. My muscles were shaking (hello, burn!) and I was smiling the whole time. The energy in the studio is electric. Great music, great vibes, and the instructors? Absolute gems. They're uplifting, knowledgeable, and made sure I felt supported while still pushing me to dig deeper. And the staff & owner? So friendly, so welcoming. From the second I walked in, I felt like I belonged there. No awkward first-timer vibes, just good energy and a seriously good sweat. Can't wait to go back. Whole Body Fitness I…read moreparticipated in the 45-minute class in Agave Fitness Center. My instructor, Ivonete, had a unique style that heavily focused on using multiple muscle groups at once and posture. We used many weight machines, and rather than simply doing the default movement that worked one body part, she taught us methods to engage both core and legs, or both legs and arms. It was just me and one other woman in the class, so when we both expressed a little confusion about exactly what Ivonete meant about certain postures, she put things on hold and took a lot of time to carefully explain and show to us the right way to do it. I love when instructors truly spend time working closely with you to make sure you have the right form, as it makes sure you aren't injured and maximize the workout. Ivonete invented the blue mats you see behind her, which have footprints and handprints to help you maintain proper form in a variety of exercises. http://maiden-voyage-travel.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_0832.jpg Breath Work I ended up being the only person who attended this session, and it was amazing getting the personal attention. This workshop was out in Solidago Gardens, which is secluded from the rest of the resort. I walked past a stone labyrinth (pictured below) and approached a building enclosed in a stone wall that looked like an Asian temple. I entered the courtyard, and there was a waterfall fountain. I opened two large wooden doors and entered a stunning wooden room with a high ceiling and skylight. It truly felt like a sanctuary or temple in China or Asia. Susan, my instructor, was a lovely woman who was soft-spoken and soothing. She discussed the anatomy of breathing, and how being conscious of our breathing can help us in our day-to-day lives. She had me lie down and close my eyes, and she talked me through a very relaxing breathing exercise. After that, she told me that breath work can help us in several situations in life. There is a type of breathing that helps energize you and pumps energy into your veins (if you've done Bikram, it's the Pranayama breathing you use at the beginning of class). There is a type of breathing that helps relax you when you're stressed and anxious, and there's a type of breathing that can help drift you into sleep or meditation. There is one other type that now I'm forgetting. She let me choose which strategies I was most interested in and taught them to me. Toward the end, she had me lie down again and walked me through another soothing breathing exercise. I left so relaxed. http://maiden-voyage-travel.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/IMG_0832.jpg Emily

The experience with Summer is truly wonderful. Her demeanor is kind, loving and she takes her time. I never feel rushed and I always feel amazing during and after the treatment. Her office is beautiful, serene and she uses wonderful products as well. Thank you Summer for all that you do!

This review is for Summer Greenlees…read more When my wife was wrapping up her first trimester, she sat me down and told me that she'd like to go through childbirth naturally. As a guy, this went against every instinct, noting that I'd prefer a c-section or to be "numbed from the nose down". Understanding that my support for this decision was a must, immediately I told her to find a doula. Soon later, my wife met with and enlisted Summer Greenlees' help. Her services included [but are not limited to] pregnancy massage, water massage, breathing exercises, aromatherapy and [of course] an active presence in labor & delivery. Fast forward to the third trimester, this is when I met Summer and one of her protégés for the first time. I was immediately struck by Summer's calming presence and uplifting personality-- even her laugh relieves tension! A few weeks later was our due date, but we had that time to practice techniques as a couple in preparation. I'd also like to note that while natural labor is encouraged as the ultimate goal, Summer both understands and acknowledges that epidurals and the like are additional tools in our belt rather than great evils or instruments of failure. When finally in the labor & delivery room, Summer was there from the first moments, setting the stage with calming music, scents that had already shown to calm my wife, foot & shoulder massage, etc. As labor intensified and I locked up with anxiety, she helped to include me with suggestions of what would be most helpful. Without her, I most likely would have remained isolated and closed off when my wife needed me the most. Whatever I paid Summer for her services, I assure you that it was worth much more than that just to have her there. If not for Summer and April (who was present and instrumental in the final stretch of delivery), I would not be able to look back at that moment with fond memories. Their calming energies and positivity helped my wife succeed physically and me emotionally. Getting a doula is a good decision. Choosing Summer makes it a great one.
