Absolutely the best meal I had in Austria. We were walking at sunset along the Mönchsberg when we came upon the old city ramparts from the 1300s. At the end of the wall is a big terrace overlooking the city. It was filled with happy local Sazburgians enjoying the view and delicious food. I started with a delicious Gruner Veltliner and enjoyed fresh grilled trout with potatoes. Finished our meal with a homemade strawberry cake. Amazingly low prices, nothing over 17 euro. Everything was absolutely perfect. I wish we had enjoyed every meal here instead of discovering it on our last night in Salzburg! read more
