Had breakfast here based on a recommendation from a local. The atmosphere is great with outdoor seating perfect for people watching. Graham our server was funny and kept the line of people waiting to enter entertained. We ordered the black coffee and scrambled eggs and bacon. The coffee was robust and piping hot. The scrambled eggs were a little undercooked and the bacon was not as expected compared to bacon in the US, but here to try new things!
The Most Fun & Friendly service - Irish style! Our breakfast was delicious. The staff treated us like locals. Wish we had stopped here on our first day of our trip rather than our last.
Loved this place. It was small and not overwhelming. We came for breakfast and had the Irish breakfast and coffee. Food was delicious and filling, coffee was great. Staff was funny and blunt. They gave us a list of local recommendations to take a picture of which was a nice touch. Recommend if you're in the area.
Found this place on TikTok and then saw it was highly recommended and we were not disappointed!! Had to wait a few minutes and ended up sharing a table with a lovely Canadian couple (love the they did this to cut down on wait time!). Food came out quickly and was delicious. The waiter Mocha was a hoot and kept the vibe super fun and energized. The full Irish was delicious and the location was perfect for activities in Dublin. Mocha insisted we take a picture with his "boss" (picture included) so maybe not a spot for kids... but certainly a memory for the books!
Visiting Ireland for the first time, I did my best to read up on good places to grab a Full Irish Breakfast in Dublin and the Stage Door Café popped up on a few lists, Reddit posts, so I put it on my list to try and I'm glad I did! I walked in on a Tuesday morning and had zero issue getting a table. The inside is relatively small with several tables, as well as a bar to sit and watch the cook work the griddle. It's definitely an older place with lots of old odds and ends hanging around, but was clean. A gentleman came over with the menu but I didn't need it, I knew what I came there for. He was friendly though we didn't speak much, albeit I didn't need much of anything. I sipped on an Irish Coffee, my first time having one, as I waited but it wasn't a long wait. I'll be honest, I was a little anxious ordering a Full Irish Breakfast as the beans and the black/white pudding seemed odd for breakfast but don't knock it until you try it! This was a fantastic meal to start the day. The bacon and sausage were delicious, the eggs cooked perfectly, and the toast was perfectly toasted. I really liked the black/white pudding and I was surprised how well the beans paired with the dish. Dublin is kind of a pricey but for everything I got, no complaints here. The Full Irish Breakfast from Stage Door Café did a great job filling me up and getting me out the door to conquer the day! If I'm ever in Dublin again, I'd come back here to satiate my need for a proper Full Irish Breakfast.

Was looking for a place to grab a full Irish before heading to Heuston Station from Temple Bar, and this place hit the spot! The full Irish here is huge and delicious! For just €13.95 there was sooo much food. The owner is super friendly and cool, and despite being short staffed, everything came out super fast. Cannot recommend this brunch enough!!

Being in Dublin for the first time, I wanted a true Irish breakfast. Stage Door did not disappoint. (See pic), I sat outside and people watched whilst enjoying a full plate that included beans. Do stop in.

Must try: Irish Breakfast and Irish Coffee! Why: When we rolled up to the cafe around 8:45am we were greeted by the owner who was a hoot and so welcoming! Loved his energy as he made us feel warm and made us laugh. Great way to start the morning! Irish Breakfast was hearty deliciousness and the Irish Coffee had a nice kick to it. Notes: Indoor and outdoor seating with a small bathroom inside. All the workers were good vibes. The other patrons were awesome too. It started to get full by 9:30am. Coffee came out swiftly and the food right after. All around one of our fav dining experience!
The food is amazing!!! We had the traditional Irish breakfast and the ham and cheese omelette. We also all had the Irish coffee which is the best I've ever had. The store has a eclectic and funny vibe. Domain server maybe owner is absolutely hilarious and a great employee everything comes out perfect and delicious.
It's a quaint little place for breakfast, although the service is not the best. It took a while to place our order, and we had to ask for utensils, refills, etc. Seating inside as well as sidewalk cafe style seating was available. We sat outside because there was a wait to sit inside. Covered awnings keep you dry from the light Irish drizzle. We had the cheese and bacon omelette, and the cheese and mushroom omelette. Both included buttered toast, and the omelettes were "OK" but a bit on the dry side (and cost €9.95) €7.95 should have been more like it. Green tea was €3.95. As I already stated, the service wasn't the best, servers had to be flagged down often. At one point, one of the only two servers we ever saw, decided to take a smoke break on the patio right in front of us. I was trying to flag him down for our check, but it was madness trying to get his attention. Not the worst place in town, but I'd skip this place if I were you. read more

Came here for a traditional Irish breakfast and was not disappointed. I know it's in a touristy area, a couple blocks down from temple bar, but it felt authentic nonetheless. The staff was friendly and attentive and I liked how it looked like it probably did 50-60 years ago. The breakfast was prepared quickly and it was delicious. read more

We go to Dublin every 6 months and this is our go to breakfast spot! The staff is great and the food is even better! Ho for the Brie toast or the Irish breakfast.. best one we ever had! We always get the tables outside (even in the winter) and I just love it! read more

Popped in for Irish coffees, which was hands down the best I've ever had. In fact, I don't normally like Irish coffee - the alcohol tends to stand out as sort of watering down the coffee. Not here. Both flavors were unmistakeable and delicious. Staff were very kind to us. I definitely recommend this as a stop for anyone seeing Temple Bar neighborhood in Dublin. read more

Our favorite meal while in Dublin! My friend and I snagged a table outside and had a great experience. I tried a Bailey's hot chocolate (amazing) and an Irish Breakfast. The service was so friendly too. read more
A lovely and lively spot for brunch! I stopped by with my wife and cannot believe how delicious the food was! I ordered the Irish Breakfast and it was a perfectly sized portion (although it seems rather large for one person). The toast was delicious and thick; perfect for the beans! My wife ordered an open-face brie, bacon, greens and tomato sandwich with a fried egg. It was absolutely divine! The chef was such a character and very charismatic--a lovely spot before starting the day. read more

Oh I absolutely love this little breakfast place. It has only opened up recently due to Covid, but I had the Irish breakfast and it was so hearty and so good. The owner was so sweet and funny and was cracking jokes with everyone. It was quite evident to see how much love he had for his work and the people who came in, and he loved listening to everyone stories and where they were from. 12/10 would highly recommend read more

Cute little cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. It was pretty busy when we got here around noon but we were able to snatch a table outside. It's on a cobblestone street that's not too crowded but not too empty either. I ordered the Irish breakfast and my friend ordered the brie, bacon, and tomato open sandwich. The Irish breakfast is average in taste compared to other Irish breakfasts I had in the country. I wish it had come with potatoes like it did at other restaurants and cafes. The open sandwich, however, was a filling portion and extremely delicious. Since the cafe was crowded we were warned that we may have to wait about 20 minutes for our food. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes but we enjoyed the scenery outside. Our waiter was nice and attentive. read more

After a long flight, we popped into the Stage Door Café at 7 am and couldn't have felt more welcomed. The guy who greeted us at the door was extremely friendly, hospitable, and hilarious. It was the perfect welcome for my first trip to Ireland. We each ordered the Irish breakfast and two lattes, both were delicious. Highly recommend this quant little café when in Dublin. read more
Wife and I walked by and saw an A-Frame sign with "Best Irish Coffee" and we HAD to go in. CONGRATULATIONS, your "suggestive advertising" worked! We were greeted and sat down with our order taken. Our server (Pictured I'm attached photos) was as friendly as could be. I asked what desserts would go well with our beverages and he regretfully informed us they had no desserts. No worries, we were there for a beverage. When he brought our order he also set a saucer on the table with a chocolate candy bar (of his own)! His commitment to service was so great he gave us HIS PERSONAL snack to compliment our Irish Coffee. I cannot say how awesome this was of him. I paid my tab, thanked him, and left a 50% tip just to thank him again for his generosity. Just for the amazing customer service, we will visit for a meal on a future trip to Dublin! We'd headed out for Sunday breakfast to another location nearby and were stuffed around by the staff there being unsure whether they wanted to feed us or not - so we left. We ended up here, and by the time we did I was super grumpy and starving hungry but thankfully we were warmly greeted, shown to a table and quickly given menus. And yes, they were serving breakfast - hurrah! Stage Door Cafe is worth visiting for the decor alone - it's very Parisian (I imagine) and I felt like I'd been transported back in time to the 20s. There's sweet small booths, large full length windows and a bit of a rustic feel (without being crappy). The guys running this place were simply brilliant - friendly, warm and welcoming and never far away from grabbing you another drink or dishing up your food. I went for the full Irish breakfast at €9.95 and while I'm not going to say it was the best breakfast ever, it certainly got me over my grumpiness and filled up my belly. The bacon was that dirty kind of bacon you get in a fry up where everything has been cooked on the grill together but it still tasted pretty damn good. I'm not sure I'd come back here to eat, but if you're in the area and looking for a smile and someone cool to hang out, you should definitely swing by here. read more

We strolled to a cafe prior that was open and told tersely when we asked for coffee, "We don't open for another 20mins." It was 9am!!! Are you kidding me?! Sometimes I am in awe of the stupidity of business owners who don't exploit the obvious - the morning office crowd. We went to where the huge rainbow flag waved in the summer sun, it was calling us like sirens on a caffeine rock and we succumbed. Really cute spot, charming waiter. The windows open out to the cobble stones of Temple bar. I must go there for breakfast this weekend. Only downfall was when my roomie spilt her coffee down her brilliant white dress - yeah the scene was not pretty, I don't do well in situations like that so I just tutted and sidestepped away from her anger. But the waiter stepped up. He got her a tea-towel and let her go into the kitchen to douse the stain in water - it was fun to watch, like a mini wet t-shirt competition but with a really angry competitor in a very expensive dress, so I took that as a cue to stay silent and not holler inappropriate things. read more
Quaint and classy restaurant stacked atop the clamering streets of Dublin. We were treated so well here and everything we had for dinner was great too. Despite the cheering and fun down below we couldnt hear much even at a window seat. It really is a nice place. Our food was all fresh and lite. Side note: Our B&B in Dublin was cancelled on us hours before we were planning to checkin so we found ourselves homeless in Dublin and hopeless in regards to staying within our budget. The two waitresses that took care of us were so nice and so helpful. They were willing to house us if they could! We stayed well after our meal as they were cleaning up and closing because we had wifi and were searching for somewhere to stay. They never once said they were closing or gave us a time limit. They were seriosuly the nicest people and it really helped us not completely lose it in such a stressful situation. read more
Super small cafe, you would think it would be bigger from the outside but small and cozy. Irish breakfast is what I got here well because I am in Ireland, and need of some greasy comfort in the morning. Overall the service was really good, and surprisingly fast for a joint that was packed on a Sunday morning, because not a lot of places are opened Sunday morning for breakfast. The decor was different, as in very eccentric-ically different but not in a hipster kind of way, in a very artistic way. The bathroom is small, it is a one cook, one waiter setup but they put some good food on the table. read more
