For what I could tell there are 2 outdoor pools, one indoor pool and a larger hot tub. There seems to be a lot of weddings there. I believe like 3-4 a weekend. The grounds were very well cared for and there were different activities throughout the day you could participate in. The location is a little remote which is nice, but hard to explore being that it was our first time in Maine. The food was pretty good for the most part. We liked the food better at The Tiller than Nubb's. The drinks are really tasty, but can get spendy. We overall really enjoyed our visit and stay at Cliff House. Rating would be 4.25

(I had a king room with private entry) I completely understand the Inn has history, yet another towel bar below the existing one to accommodate more/used towels was badly needed. It would have also been nice to have a small etagere in the open space next to the sink for toiletries. (The existing built-in cubbies behind were hard to get to and a nuisance. (I'm 5' tall) Secondly, a long bench (on the sparse wall space) by the door would have been fantastic to place items/drop point while underneath, shoes could have been tucked away. & I also had to manually roll up and down the shade at the front door to keep the bright porch light out... What :( I feel iffy and critical in stating these points yet it's about the finishing touches that makes a house feel like home when away from home to me. I'm one of those people when traveling I want to not have to struggle. The website will display the aesthetics as eclectic and refined. It's definitely contemporary, yet You Are On Top of a hill and are Surrounded by Trees. Fresh and dead.. Also, new furnishings and remodeled rooms doesn't mean every aspect of the Inn is new. (Keep that in mind when having expectations) The Inn is right in the middle of town. Convenient to everything. & the staff was professional and kind. I loved that I woke up, walked down the hill and my days were effortless. The town was filled with people & charm, yet unlike Kennebunkport, it feels more youthful & fun. There are many different seating /lounging areas outside the Inn. I dedicated one afternoon laying out by the saltwater pool and hot-tub (i didn't use) Staff made rounds and provided full service outside at well as the Inn providing 'complimentary' refrigerated bottled water, pool/beach totes/towels, and chairs for the beach. We had a small bite at the onsite restaurant bar the first night. The space looked out at the pool area and even though the space is quaint, the food was big with flavor and absolutely delicious. Ava was our bartender. She was A+.... My room was located on the side of the Inn, 2nd floor, private entry with a woods view. (Next time I'm booking Much More in Advance for the ocean view with large bathroom :)) Upon entering the king size bed was well appointed with finishing touches, linen duvet/comforter and spa sheets. I slept like a baby the first night so with some investigation i discovered Stearns & Foster mattresses. Super comfy! The Inn also gets huge points for providing some small touches thats appreciated. All in the photos... Overall, I would definitely return again. Stay longer.. and look forward to trying new things, tasting more food at the Coastal Alchemist and taking in more of what the Inn and Ogunquit has to offer.

Between the large hill to walk up to the building itself + the 5 staircases to get to our room, we were tired lol. Although facing the VERY busy main road leading into & out of town, we did not hear any of the traffic, nor parades of people due to the A/C units. The front gardens are chock-filled with beautiful flowers, & sweet touches such as a bubbling fountain, moss covered structures, & stone pathways leading everywhere. Breakfast was also perfect, especially because we were able to sit outside on the front porch while sipping our coffee, enjoying our yogurt, breads, cereals, juice & more. We could not have asked for a better experience, a better location, a better welcoming & a better 3 sisters' annual get together.

It was a very expensive reservation over the holiday weekend. The same day I received an email from the hotel stating they charged a 50% "deposit" to hold the room - never mentioned beforehand. When I reached out to ask for a refund of my deposit, I was told to cancel the reservation to receive the deposit back. Ok. I was treated very poorly during the cancellation process by whoever was writing the (unsigned) emails: they wrote I "misunderstood", "obviously", and that I was a "Karen"! ("Karen is a pejorative slang term for an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people's behaviors.") Whoever is writing the emails for the company needs some customer service training - hopefully it's not the owner(s): John J and Dwain U are the new owners of the Inn as of September 18, 2013

The room is amazing and ALL levels of staff are so professional and nice, I really look forward to seeing them, when we visit! The Continental Breakfast is a delightful plus, from 8:00 to 10:00, even though there are days when we are out early, on our adventures, having many delightful choices for breakfast along the way! The professionals at Sea Chambers are perfect hosts and we can't imagine staying anywhere else!

The gentleman that checked us in was helpful, professional and friendly. Ideal location in the heart of York Beach steps from the sand. Parking is an off street lot across the street, though the York Beach parking enforcement officer (replete with military combat boots and tactical military issue pants) was kind enough to give me a parking citation during the five minutes I unloaded our luggage. There was no meter or sineage where the car was parked. Upon entering the ocean view king suite we were impressed with the size and style of the unit. As we sat down on a weathered pull out couch we noticed a large coffee stain on the coffee table. We also noticed plentiful crumbs and chocolate chips on the couch (and even more crumbs as we opened the pull out section). Worse still it was clear that the pull out couch long surpassed its useful lifespan and had a large 3 inch sharp piece of metal sticking out. King bedroom was a bit cramped but nice bed and pillows. On the nonexistent WiFi alone I would have picked another property if I had known. The given WiFi router worked for 2-3 minutes the entire stay. One of the bedroom lamps did not work. A few of the electrical outlets did not function and others could not have passed any inspection. The washer (of the stackable washer/dryer) did not work. The unit was great size and comfortable for four of us. The location cannot be beat. But the several misses keep this property from a higher score. If they would address the above problems we would return. If not, we will pick another property for our next stay in York.
