Very unique spot with equally unique food items to choose from. The staff is friendly and will assist you with your choice of what to get. I enjoyed the shape, texture and novelty of the "hoof" shaped bread pocket. So many choices, which made me smile.

I was about to give this place 2 stars, but after how they treated us, I had to bump it up an extra star. Known for its cylindrical bread container, Staggering Ox is a place to try at least once. We ordered a couple sandwiches and nachos. The sandwich had a lot of horseradish in it that we were glad that we ordered their "small" nachos. It fed our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. My mom had ordered a turkey melt, and midway she was wondering why it had pepperoni. My mom doesn't like spicy stuff nor does she complain. We told her we should bring it back as it wasn't the sandwich she ordered. We did and they remade her sandwich without any pushback. They also gave us a free sandwich card for our next visit. That was really going above and beyond our expectations as they already replaced the sandwich. The interior is bizarre with hanging records. If you go further back there's a bar. One thing is the bathroom. It had graphic pictures that I wouldn't want my nieces seeing. Large location, but family friendly might be a stretch.

I ordered the three mile island as recommended by a friend with blue horsey on the side. Not impress, the sandwich was different as far as presentation but the inside tasted like any other sandwich I could got anywhere. I got the cheesy bread guts for my toddler and he enjoyed eating it. He likes food though. The hubby got a Philly cheese steak with a creamy basil sauce. He liked it. The services were wonderfully friendly and fast. The place overall was a fun, family environment. We would back if in town and I would try the hot sandwich which I preferred.

Unique sandwiches with awesome flavor. Bread guts are too addicting. They even have a famously recognized sandwich.

Ok food. Not much substance and a tad bit pricey. Worth trying once, but probably not worth a repeat.

The atmosphere is fun and unique, the food is not great. We would order a microbrew and enjoy kids games but not order food again.

Funky vibe. Requested no cheese. After 30 minutes of waiting I get a sandwich smothered melted cheese so I couldn't eat most of it.

I went with the Korean Beef Broccoli bowl, and it was DELICIOUS, really savory and flavorful (paired nicely with a sweet drink!) The lady who worked the counter was super sweet, and immediately stepped away from cleaning to assist me. She even complimented my name!! Great service, especially since it was pretty close to close. All in all, it was a really good experience. I'll definitely be back again!! (Especially since I really wanna try some more, like the Asian Pork bowl and the Fried Chicken sandwich )

The ambiance was very minimalist, and the dining room was basically empty when we arrived. Again, the food looked better than it tasted. There was nothing objectively wrong with the food, it was just not great if that makes sense. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was crispy, hot, and fresh but the flavor just wasn't there. The breading was good but that is where the flavor stopped. The waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and they even used real maple syrup! But again the flavor was just lacking for some reason. We ended up taking half of our food home with us which is NEVER a good sign. I might give this place another shot on a different day. Also, the coleslaw on the chicken sandwich had no flavor which made the sandwich even less impressive. Nothing to see here in my opinion.

Once I saw it on the menu I had to get the GIGANTIC PRETZEL (GP). It was gigantic and it was a pretzel. Great crispy outside and soft warm perfectly cooked inside. Get it, you won't regret it. We all loved it and the queso and hot mustard were a great match. I had the wings, buffalo sauce, and it came with fries. Both were really good. So much food I only ate 4 wings and 1/2 the fries. GP still weighing heavy in my gullet! The Wife had the Classic Mac and Cheese - nice taste but Luke warm instead of hot. Should have sent back to warm up. Her choice. The Kid had the brisket sandwich and garlic parm fries. The sandwich was so big., she ate 1/2 and hardly touched her fries. The fries were delish, as I had to sample a couple for review purposes. The Friend had a Buffalo chicken salad and The Other Friend had enchiladas. Both enjoyed their meals and had leftovers as the servings are generous. Great Time. Great Food. Great Service. Go! Eat Very Well!! HAVE FUN!!!

The host seated us; informed us of the timing when giving us the menus for dinner service. The menu is vast for dinner with multiple appetizers, salads, pasta options and main courses. Added to that is a great wine list and a 'special' list as well. Unfortunately for me, the timing of our arrival meant the stuffed grapes leaves were not available (they were being made when I requested and needed time to marinate and chill), so..I chose the tapenade with veggies being a GF gal. Delicious choice!! Hubby wanted dessert- our host/waitstaff was able to secure the last piece of carrot cake for him which was absolutely delicious! Wine choice for me was a French Sauvignon Blanc- perfectly chilled, excellent wine. An amazing mid day snack for us with excellent service and food!

Every sauce we tried was bitter -- the hummus, baba ghanoush, and even the tzatziki, which is usually a safe bet anywhere. The baba ghanoush in particular was shockingly bitter, nothing like what you'd expect at other Mediterranean restaurants. The meats were bland and under-seasoned, and overall the food lacked balance and flavor. On top of that, the atmosphere was incredibly off-putting. We could clearly hear cooks and waitstaff talking trash and making inappropriate, disrespectful comments. It was uncomfortable and honestly felt more like being at a Waffle House at 3 a.m. than a sit-down Mediterranean restaurant. It feels like the menu needs to be tasted and adjusted by someone who actually understands Mediterranean flavors, and the staff needs basic professionalism. Even the bread could be good with a small tweak, but everything feels slightly off. We kept coming back hoping it would improve, but after this visit, we're done. We won't be back.
