    Sophie enjoying the outdoors!

I could not be happier with my decision to board and train my little fear/reactive dog, Sophie with Stand Proud. They have helped me transform my fearful dog to a more confident and less reactive to other dogs. They offer group classes and pack walks which have been so helpful to help train me. They really care about dogs and their clients and are available to answer any questions.

I could write few paragraphs but I will keep it short. Wow. We are really impressed with the quality, patience, and compassion Brandon puts on with his company. We enjoy the 1 on 1 trainings, and Timber enjoys the group class most. If you need someone who is patient, understanding, and willing to work with YOU and YOUR lifestyle, reach out. Thanks, Rachel and Mason

Stand Proud is amazing! I rescued my sweet boy Chance from the Contra Costa county pound on his Euthanasia date. He is a wonderful boy but he is very high energy and quite strong. He had a problem with reactivity towards other dogs. It was very difficult to walk him. I have never done a board and train before and was very nervous to send my baby away! Danielle and Debbie were wonderful and sent me multiple pictures and updates! When we picked him up one of his trainer's Ian spent an hour with us showing everything he learned and teaching us how to continue his training at home. It was obvious Chance was treated very well as he was very happy and affectionate towards Ian. He is now a calmer, happier, very obedient boy! He no longer lunges and barks at other dogs passing by. I highly recommend! Thank you Stand Proud!

We love Stand Proud Dog Training!! Our black lab Gunner did their board and train program which was awesome, and now we're working on a few little things with follow up lessons. Got to check out this new facility at our last lesson and wow! Everything was so clean, friendly staff members, and the atmosphere felt very inviting. Our lesson went phenomenal and we're so proud of Gunner for the progress he's been making with the help of our trainer Austin! They give us the tools to set Gunner up for success and it really shows during the lessons. We can't thank Stand Proud Dog Training enough!! 10/10 recommend!

I've love this program. Brandon and Danielle are amazing!!! After a training program, you are a life time member & can always make appointments if you need a little more help (free). Also, they board dogs. They have enough space that it's almost impossible for them to be full. I had a last minute overnight, so I decided to see if they had room, and they did!!! Plus, their pricing is more than reasonable. Last time I boarded Sofie @ a different kennel, I to pay extra for them to play or walk her. I worried about her the whole 6 days I was gone. Believe me, that is not an issue with Stand Proud. I highly, 100%, recommend Stand Proud & feel so blessed to have found them for my Sofie.

The best place to take your dog, period! My girl gets crazy excited when we pull into the parking lot. I think that's a pretty good sign of how well she's treated for training, day play, and overnight boarding. Highly recommend!

We started having issues with our 1.5 year old bulldog after we brought our newborn baby home. Chubby started to feel more like a disruptive roommate as opposed to our loving dog. In just 4 home sessions Austin helped us put an end to Chubby's rowdy, mouthy behavior. I have so much more trust in my dog around my baby, and that's priceless. Austin also helped us develop Chubby's walking skills, so we can all go on walks as a family now with a stroller, something that wasn't possible before.

We are so incredibly happy and thankful for the team at Stand Proud and all of the work and support they offer. It has been close to a year since we reached out to Stand Proud, and it was out of desperation. One of our dogs, Luna, (she was 11 months at the time) was aggressive toward our older lab, after 9 months of no issues. We did not know where to start or what to do, so I just started googling dog training in Reno. After looking at different places online and contacting a couple, we decided to go with Stand Proud. Luna went for board and train since we needed fast and effective results. She was originally scheduled for a 3 week say and after working with her and talking things over with us, she got bumped up to a 4 week stay. She did great when she was picked up and was on her best behavior, but then she got home and showed aggression toward our lab once again. We reached out to Stand Proud and told them what had happened and they sent a trainer to our home to help us get through the transition. Not only did Austin work with Luna, he also worked with our other dog so that they could live together and get along. He then worked with her and my parents dog, and even brought his dog for training with her. Training continued almost weekly for months after she was home to help her become her best self. Stand Proud training does not end when you pick up the dog, they keep working with the dog and you to continue the training, they even offer free group classes. This is what sets Stand Proud apart from anyone else. I am not sure any other training facility in Reno would have come to our house to work with us after picking her up from training. Luna is doing great and gets along with her sister now, she still goes back for boarding when we travel and loves it there. I honestly do not know what we would have done without Brandon, Danielle, Austin, and the stand proud pack. If you are looking for any type of dog training this is where you need to go!

Stand proud dog training is organized and so knowledgeable! I took my one year old Aussie to start the board and train program and I am amazed by her progress. Brandon gave us the tools and the confidence to ensure Indie leads a structured, safe, and full life. I appreciate the one-on-one training classes and the group classes. The best part about the group classes is that they are in public, giving you practice with real word situations. I highly recommend the board and train to get a jump start on progress with your pup!

Where do I start!? Casey and Brandon at Stand Proud K9 are awesome and I can safely say they helped transformed the quality of life of our entire family. We brought in our 9 month old pup Bear (supposedly a 50b Aussie mix who turned out to be a 90lb GSD/Malamute mix!) to Stand Proud to help us with a handful of concerns. 1) I am a big hiker/trail runner and I needed Bear to be reliable on trail when he is off leash. To come when called, to stand down when encountering others on trail, and to not chase exciting distractions like rabbits and squirrels. 2) My husband and step sons were not familiar with dogs and didn't understand dog dynamics and they, as well as Bear, needed some guidance and direction and 3) Bear is like all the males in my family - large, in charge, independent, a bit naughty, but fiercely loyal with a huge heart. Bear needed some rules and boundaries to make life smoother for us all. We enrolled in a 4 session private lesson package and boy are we glad we did. These four sessions changed our home life completely! Bear learned to stay, sit, and most importantly to "place". He began to understand who rules the roost so to speak and to obey commands. We all gained confidence in how to handle Bear and to communicate what we needed from him. In return, Bear grew calm, at ease, confident, less skittish, less fearful, and much more comfortable in all circumstances. With the help of Stand Proud I can now take Bear on hikes and runs with confidence knowing that Bear will respond to me summoned. Additionally, my "I don't like dogs" husband has become a dog-lover who is confident in his ability to handle and command Bear. Their relationship is lightyears improved. We owe it all to Casey and Brandon at Stand Proud. We are grateful to have found you! HIghly recommended if you are looking to help your pup bet the best it can be and to ease the stress of living with an anxious/aggressive/barky/needy/out of control dog.

Our dog Poppy is a rescue with an unknown background (as many rescues are). We love her like a…read morechild, and she is our whole world. We have always wanted/still want the longest happiest life for her. Unfortunately, Poppy was incredibly reactive. It was mostly to dogs, and sometimes to people, and she was on the verge of causing damage to someone. We worked tirelessly for two years with her. Twice a day walking/training, going to training classes, having private training, reading books/watching videos, just trying to help her have good experiences and associations, so that she could experience more of life and have more fun (safely). Despite a great food drive & being incredibly smart, Poppy's reactivity even seemed to get worse no matter how hard we worked with her or what we tried. After this worsening, we knew that something had to give or Poppy could end up hurting someone or having to be locked away/euthanized. Bailey/Ideal Canine was our choice & saving grace to help our pup. We were taken with their dedication to dogs that so many others have given up on. We found that many trainers will not take aggressive dogs, so what are owners supposed to do? Give up on them? That wasn't an option for the pup we love so dearly, so we decided that Bailey's 6-week program would be right for Poppy and after our first meeting and conversations, we were even more confident that our dog wasn't a lost cause and could still be loved and helped into living her best life! Bailey is incredibly dedicated to the welfare and safety of all the dogs she works with and Poppy not only LOVES her, but it is so evident that she also feels safe and cared for with Bailey. Bailey worked with our pup and us, setting all parties up for success and answering all questions we had (which was quite a few). Bailey was never stumped by our queries and her experience/knowledge shows in the happy dogs she has helped live their best lives. Bailey not only teaches you how to handle & train your dog, she explains how everything she does is based on how dogs act, respond, & understand the world around them. She explains dog behavior specific to your pup and lets you know what different dog body language means which is supremely helpful in knowing your dog's thresholds and moods. During the mid/later parts of the 6 week training, our dog was hanging out peacefully on outdoor dining patios, having off leash freedoms, & co-existing happily with many other dogs-all of which would have been unthinkable to us prior to her time with Bailey. We are still in the early stages of Poppy's transition back home, but I have never seen her so confident & happy. One of our big struggles used to be barking out the windows and now, that behavior is non-existent. Our pup can now pass other dogs just steps away without reacting at ALL and feel confident knowing that we have her back and she knows what to do. Bailey has set us all up for success and given our pup a longer happy life and we are supremely grateful. Additionally, we can't wait to take advantage of the great perks that all of Bailey's clients can get like in-home boarding, group walks/training sessions and private training when we feel like a refresher.

We were lucky enough to adopt our dog Stella from Sally, and we are so incredibly grateful. Sally had fostered Stella for a few weeks and trained her very well, so when we brought Stella home she was already house trained despite being found abandoned in a dog park only weeks before. Stella heeds commands, she is respectful of other dogs both on and off leash, she doesn't beg for food, she doesn't bark incessantly, she knows her boundaries inside the house, and she is the sweetest little thing in the world. A couple years after we adopted her she did go through a teenager-style phase of not wanting to listen to us once she was off leash, so we booked a couple refresher sessions with Sally at Run-A-Mutt and Stella was back to her best behavior in no time. We are so grateful for her and so in love with our sweet girl, and we would never have found her if it wasn't for Sally!
