Margherita Pizza (V); Hot Honey Char Pizza

Love! Love! Love! We arrived at Sunnyside pizzeria at around 3 o'clock on Sunday and waited. 15 minutes for a table. The restaurant is quite small so if you're dining with a large party to go, might be your best bet. However, they did not stop us me and my best friend and my toddler ordered a few things off the menu and a couple of cocktails (obviously not the toddler). The peach Bellini and espresso martini were made really well. The espresso martini had a perfect foam that was just the right thickness and they do not use an insane amount of Baileys, which was a plus for me. We got the margarita pizza add spicy, Italian sausage and the hot honey char pizza as well as the meatballs. Everything had wonderful flavoring, everything was cooked to perfection in the food came out at the perfect temperature. Everything was priced appropriately. For my half of the bill I had the hot honey jar, pizza, and the espresso martini. My total was like $29 or something like that. Our waitress was awesome! She was super relaxed, very helpful, and was great to have a small conversation with. I feel bad that I can't remember her name, but she has blonde hair and cool piercings and jewelry. 10 out of 10 would recommend! And I definitely have found my new favorite pizza place.

Your greeted as soon as you enter. The service was great and the lighting was great. O do wiz it was a little bigger/spacious and the tables are very close together. The food options are a plenty. Everything came out hot and fresh. I enjoyed every time we had as well as the price range. We paid $60 for all this food plus drinks! When in the area, we will be back!

The hot honey wings were a hit. I ordered them well done and they came out exactly how I like them. Crispy on the outside, still juicy inside. The hot honey actually had a some kick to it too, not just sweet with a hint of heat. We split a half pepperoni, half veggie pizza and both sides held their own. We grabbed the tiramisu to go and I'm glad we did. Best I've had in a while, creamy and delicious. The vibe was chill, service was solid, and everything came out hot and fresh.

This might be my favorite pizza spot. The pizzas are so unique. I was ordering the pancetta and fig, which is a very good mix with the sweet and salty flavor profile. My son ordered the pistacho, which I tried and oh my gosh -- top tier flavor mix. The crumbled Italian sausage, arugula and pistachio crudo make this an undeniably perfect blend of toppings. I wish they were closer to me, but any visit to Sandy Springs when I'm craving pizza, Sunnyside will be my go-to.

I had been wanting to check out Sunnyside Pizzeria FOREVER. I originally had found out about the place because of a video I saw on TikTok where they do martinis with your face on it....yep, you read that right! Me, my wife, and our two best friends came for dinner one night on a Friday. We came by, and put our name on the list. I don't think they take reservations. We waited for about an hour before we got seated. Luckily this is in a shopping center with other restaurants, so we grabbed a drink from another place to kill the time. Sunnyside is quite small, so there aren't a lot of tables. If you have more than 4 people, it may be a little difficult to get a table, so keep that in mind. We started with drinks. Like I said, they do custom martinis. You can scan this QR and add a photo on any of their martini drinks. I did an espresso martini (obviously), and it turned out so cool!! It doesn't take long at all. It's not an additional cost either, you just pay for the drink. This was such a fun thing to do! Moving on to appetizers, we got the Caesar salad and their limited time hot honey lemon pepper wings. The wings were sooooo good. They were cooked perfectly, and had a good amount of meat on them! So flavorful too. The salad was good too, nothing too special, but good regardless. For the mains, we got two pizzas and a pasta. We got the spicy rigatoni vodka and then the hot honey char and margherita pizza. the pasta was good!! It had a nice bite to it too, which I love. The hot honey char pizza....I have no words. This might be one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I actually believe it's their most popular pizza. It was heavenly. It had the cupped pepperoni too, which I LOVE. The hot honey was such a nice touch too. I'm honestly still thinking about this pizza. The margherita one was good too, but the honey char one...chef's kiss. HIGHLY recommend getting this one when you go! For dessert, they had a few options, but we got the gelato. We got the strawberry and Stracciatella (cookies and cream basically) ones. It was good, but nothing special. I love a cold dessert, so this was the cherry (strawberry) on top! The service was great! Our server's name was Julia. She was friendly and attentive throughout our entire visit. She made suggestions, answered our questions, and was pretty quick to get our food and drinks out. Sunnyside is in a large shopping center, so there is plenty of parking! I loved my visit at Sunnyside. I am already looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other pizzas (they have SO MANY) and of course that hot honey char one...again!!

I thought this place would be over-hyped and I am happy to report it is not. My server was fantastic and recommended the Pistachio Martini over the Espresso Martini and I am so happy he did, that is one of the best Martini's I've ever had. Food was dang near cooked to perfection and was packed with flavor, it made us upset that it took us so long to get here and everything is large enough to share without any issues: This is what we got: Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Wings Burrata Board Hot Honey Char La Parma Pistachio Martini's The service was great, the only downside is there is little seating here so I highly recommend making a reservation.

We have been seeing this place all over our social medias and finally decided to go check it out! We went on a Tuesday evening and it a very cute little place. We got seated at the bar as it had no wait. The bar was spacious and intimate at the same time. The server was super nice and helped us pick from their amazing menu! They had so many options that we could t make up our minds. We ended up getting two martinis which were fabulous, and how awesome is it that you get to print pictures on the drink?! For food, we tried two pies (Veggie Lovers & Pesto Mushroom). Our personal fav has to be Pesto Mushroom. For dessert we got the Tiramisu which I would not get again personally as it was a hit too sweet, lacked the coffee flavor and the biscuits were not fully soaked. I definitely recommend this spot! They have plenty of parking and great food!

Sunnyside Pizzeria did NOT miss. The crispy lemon pepper wings are perfectly crunchy with a bright, zesty kick. The honey chard pizza is super flavorful with the perfect sweet-savory balance. And the bomb bologna pasta? Rich, hearty, and seriously addictive. Will definitely be back. The venue is kind of small so I wouldn't recommend going in larger parties of more than six people, but the customer service was really great and very clean venue

My foodie friend suggested we go here since she's been wanting to go and BABYYYYYY! I was NOT disappointed! This was place was fantastic! It's a cute, little new-age bistro style ambiance with a bar, and modern decor. Everything about this place screams swanky! We didn't wait since they do get busy from whispers I've heard, and that's because my friend reserved us a table online. Our waiter Roman was beyond impressive and super helpful with suggestions. We ordered the ATL-hot honey lemon pepper wings which were PHENOMENAL!!! Oh em gee! We split them, 4 each, and we almost ordered more because they were that good! Sweet, flavorful, not too tangy since they're lemon pepper, and the right kind of spice/kick. By far they're in the running for the best wings I've had since living in Atlanta and we all know Atlanta is the chicken wing capital so that says a lot! Them wings were fried to perfection, seasoned evenly, nothing over-powering the other aspects of it! Pure perfection! I ordered some French beer I can't remember the name of with a small vegetable pizza! Note: can't order small pizzas after 3pm so we got there just in time. My friend ordered some meaty pizza that I can't remember the name of but she loved it! She also ordered the Shiraz that paired with it, and she loved it! We both finished our entrees with no crumbs left as the young folks say lol They serve gelato as well as a nice little chef's kiss style cherry on top, however, we didn't get any. We will be back, I will be back! The food is extraordinary and so is the atmosphere! Upscale, classy pizza at its finest! I'm in love!

I have been dreaming about this place ever since my last visit. My mom and I were craving pizza. This has been on my list of places to try so I recommended coming here. We didn't have a reservation so we had to put our name on the wait list. It was over an hour wait but we luckily a table canceled so the hostess was able to get us inside in less than thirty minutes. We started off with Brussels sprouts and the hot honey wings. We didn't care for the Brussels and they were kind enough to take it off the bill. The wings were tasty though. We both got cocktails and you know I had to get the viral one with my face on it. I went with the lemon cheesecake one and it was delicious. Now let's get into the star of the show which was the hot honey char pizza. That was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. Everything was so fresh. From the ricotta to the pepperoni, and the hot honey everything just works so well together! I've been dreaming about it ever since. I can't wait to get my hands on another one. We ended the night with a shared scoop of their piña colada gelato. It was so good. It had coconut shavings in it which I loved. My mom and I will definitely be back! Thank you for such an amazing experience.

Sunnyside Pizzeria is charming pizza spot that is a bit hidden, but slowly gaining more exposure. I found out about this spot online and I knew I had to try their pizzas. It is a bit small inside, but there is seating. The wait time for pizzas can take a while as everything is baked fresh in the oven. We got the Hot Honey Char and Margherita with Italian Sweet Sausage Pizzas. The Hot Honey Char is one of their more popular pizzas and while it was good, it kind of just tasted like a pepperoni pizza with some honey drizzled over it. The Margherita was pretty good. We added Italian Sweet Sausage to it which really elevated the taste. I give this spot a 4/5 stars only because the pizzas were really thin and I personally prefer slightly thicker pizzas. Overall, I think that this is a good pizza spot to check out! There are a bunch of other pizza flavors I want to try, along with their pastas.

I had a fun time. Our server really made our experience great. We got the meatballs as an app. Delicious . There's honey in the sauce which really adds a nice flavor without being sweet or deserty. The hot honey pizza was the best. They seasoned the cheese balls and as someone who would pops lactaid like candy , it was absolutely worth it! I would order that every time. The wings were okay. Honestly I asked for them to be cooked well done and it wasn't. So it tasted better when I reheated them in the air flyer. Probably wouldn't order again. The drinks were really cool. Being able to custom design the foam on top was fun and easy, you pick a photo/logo and they print it . My friend and I are chocolate ladies so we weren't sure how it would come out. When we picked our first photos, they said that it came out dark and allowed us to make it again. I appreciated that . The place is a lot smaller than it looks on tik tok. Maybe 10 tables or less but thankfully it wasn't crowded when we got there

It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

We were seated in the back which is still festive but brighter and less cozy. Like many mentioned, the waitstaff wasn't interested in making the experience memorable and wanted you in and out as fast as possible. The portion size of their $18 olive and pesto appetizer was appalling. Six olives (yes, six!), four slivers of cheese, three artichoke hearts, and a ramekin of delicious pesto. This feels like a tourist trap in a quaint neighborhood. We both got pasta entrees and they were good, but expensive considering no meat was included. The drinks were festive and actually felt like a good pour considering how expensive they are. 2 stars for that. We ended with the crème brûlée which was somehow over cooked and not creamy. I'm sure the owner will be aggressive about this honest review. To be fair, my sister loved the experience but she's hardly traveled and is delighted by mediocre things sometimes. I really wanted to love this place because we just moved to the area and I wanted to have this be our new cozy date night place. It won't be. The arugula salad served alongside it was bright, well-dressed, and a perfect complement to the richness of the dish. The Pasta e Fieni was literally a PERFECT al dente (seriously I don't know if I've had more perfectly cooked pasta), the cream sauce was rich without being heavy, and the mushrooms were fantastic. I opted for the blackberry fiz mocktail, which was super sweet at first, but with a good mix, it was super refreshing. For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

Ooooh this place is a dream! The outdoor (enclosed) patio in the winter isn't just a last resort…read morereservation option, it should be your TOP destination. It's cozy, (plenty warm) and romantic! It was 32 degrees outside, but completely comfortably warm, inside. You truly wouldn't know you weren't inside. Any way, I've eaten my way through Inman Park but somehow hadn't yet indulged in the delectable Sotto Sotto. This might just be my new favorite Italian in Atlanta. It was absolutely delicious. Across the table (thanks to the half portion option), we tried at least 8 items on the menu! Each one was more special then the next. Our incredible server Kagen (sp?) walked us through each section of the menu absolutely perfectly. As a result we ended up ordering some of his favs from across the menu. In my photos you can see what we ordered, but my recommendation is to simply ask your server what they like and you'll undoubtably get something stellar. In a market of many, great Italian options, Sotto Sotto might just be the BEST and my new fav!!! I absolutely can't wait to return.

Food:10/10 Ambiance:10/10…read moreService:-0/10 This place was amazing the food and atmosphere created an amazing experience for my group ,... However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!

Finally got around to trying this place after it was recommended to me multiple times since 2021. I…read moredon't know why it took me so long to this place is worth it. The service was 10/10. The ambiance is cute. The bread service is some of the best I've ever had. And the cocktails are fire. Had the lemon chicken at the advice of our waitress and it was incredible. The pasta was great. Cesar salad solid. Wine list strong. Can't say enough.

Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
