This hidden gem is extraordinary as they expertly craft your pizza right in front of you. We ordered their tomato (Marinara) pizza, and the second one was the artichoke with olive pizza, and it was nothing short of fantastic. The dough was absolute perfection, giving the pizza a lovely chewy texture. Believe the locals when they say this is the best pizza in town! The place does get busy so make sure you get on it. Ordering via phone adds a nostalgic touch! No online orders. The staff is friendly. Despite the long wait times, we'll be returning for more of their amazing pizzas. We gave the following a try: * *Special* - pepperoni, tomato and red onions (5/5 stars) * Meat lovers (4/5 stars) * Bacon with runny egg (3/5 stars) * Mushroom and kale salad (4/5 stars) They were all really delicious and hearty but the special of the week did it for me! The pizza tonight was delicious. My wife and I shared a white pizza and added mushrooms. I was in heaven. We also ordered a red pepper pizza on special, and it was also quite good. Standard pizza's dough is something else, and I say that as a huge fan of my wife's multi day cold fermented dough recipes. Let me know if you have picky kids who don't eat crust, cuz I could eat standard pizza's crust all day long. I think we tried a couple of more simple pizzas at standard pizza last time many months ago and they were pretty good, however tonight was special enough for me to go leave a review, and that's saying something. It absolutely destroys Pizzeria Prima Strada and Famoso, which I'd say are the two closet places to Standard Pizza in terms of the style of the pizza (thin crust, Neapolitan). It's safe to say that this is my new favourite spot for pizza, and dare I say, the best pizza in town? It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the hunt. Best pizza in town! hands down. We've known about Standard Pizza since they opened but it took us a while before we actually tried their pizza. Now we are seriously hooked - we get two of their large pizzas almost every week. Our favourite pizza used to be Prima Strada but Standard's large size pizzas are way bigger and better value for the money. The quality is excellent and we love their different pizzas. read more

Came to visit family and had pizza from here, was very good. Loved the tender and chewy pizza dough, the crust was delicious. Made in a fire brick oven and had a wonderful flavor from the fire without being over blackened on the bottom. The tomato sauce was a great balance of acidic and sweet and perfectly proportioned to the dough and toppings. We had the Kale, which was a wonderful combination of kale chips and pizza almost, with a white sauce and lemon drizzled on top. The margarita was delicious as well. The only one that wasn't fantastic was the special squash and leek pizza, the squash was sort of devoid of flavor and was undercooked. Ordered one of their pizzas on special, it was comprised of heirloom tomatoes, basil, and loads of parmesan - super simple but great combination. I didn't know what their portions were like, but my boyfriend and I decided to get a large for the two of us. It definitely kept both of us very full, and we paid approx. $23 for the pie. Great price for two, in my opinion. I was struggling before to find a place serving pizza similar in quality to Prima Strada without the huge price tag, and this place is perfect. This is the best damn pizza I've had in years. So good. So very good. We bought a couple of pies, an anchovy one, and a white one, and everyone at the table ate more than we planned. The caramelized onions were done right, sweet from a slow cook, not just fried, and they brilliantly put the arugula in a bag on the side so it would still be fresh and unwilted once we got the pizza home. I've never had a wood fired pizza before and I would highly recommend. All ingredients are freshly made and the pizza was so tasty. It was fun to watch the guy flipping the pizzas in and out of the wood fire oven. You can eat in but space is limited or you can take out. They are a busy little place.
