Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Wrong Product Sent, Misleading Communication, and a Complete Lack of Accountability I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Standish Milling and want to warn others before ordering from this company. I placed an order for a specific product, expecting to receive exactly what I paid for. Instead, Standish Milling took it upon themselves to send me a completely different item, claiming it was "the closest thing they had." That kind of decision is absolutely unacceptable. If an item is unavailable, the company should contact the customer for approval before substituting anything. I ordered a particular product for a reason -- and receiving whatever the company decides is "close enough" is not how legitimate businesses operate. When I reached out about the issue, I received an email (dated October 7th) in which the representative, Madi, explicitly stated that they had refunded my shipping charge as a courtesy. That seemed like a small but appreciated gesture to make up for their mistake. Unfortunately, that wasn't true. When I checked, no refund had been issued at all. When I followed up to clarify, the story completely changed. I was then told that they would only refund the difference if there had been one -- and since there wasn't, they didn't issue anything. That is not what was said originally, and the fact that they didn't even bother to update me or correct their earlier statement shows a serious lack of integrity and professionalism. To make matters worse, I am still left with the incorrect item and no refund whatsoever. Not only did they fail to provide what I ordered, but they also failed to communicate honestly or take any responsibility for the situation. At this point, it's hard to tell whether this is simply disorganization or outright disregard for customers -- but either way, it reflects terribly on how they do business. Clear communication, transparency, and accountability are basic expectations, and Standish Milling failed on every level. I would strongly caution anyone against ordering from this company. There are many reputable businesses that value their customers, communicate honestly, and stand behind their word. Unfortunately, Standish Milling is not one of them. read more
