I ordered six windows back on September 2024. The following December 2024 they finally installed five of the six windows, but only partially. They finally completed the installation of the five windows several months later (went through the entire winter without the windows being framed or sealed!) The sixth window was removed, but they couldn't install the new window because they said the company sent the wrong size. During this time I constantly contacted them regarding the sixth window. They used the excuse about the company sending the wrong size window three more times! I put pressure on the parent company and received unfulfilled promises. I continued putting pressure on the parent company by ing and texting on a regular basis until they finally completed the job exactly one year later in September 2025!! Unfortunately, I just realized that they failed to install one of the screens on the sixth window, but I'm done with dealing with them I've had enough. I would NOT recommend them unless you want months of aggrevation and frustration. read more

Installer placed building materials up against our garage door without asking permission or informing us. Upon leaving for work, the board fell on to our car and damaged back quarter panel. Stanek asked us to provide an estimate for the repairs which we did. They have since ignored repeated emails and phone calls asking for status or reimbursement. Sounds like we will need to take this to court. read more

We had two large sliders and a bay window with two crank outs put in. We are having issues with opening, closing, locking, unlocking two of the four windows just installed a week ago. Installers came back once to make adjustments to the crank mechanisms once and said they need to be broken in!? Now one of the windows, I can't even unlock it, no less open it. The other I cannot lock. Funny thing is the reason we replaced our 25 year old windows was the cranks were not working properly and figured it was time to upgrade. We called for service two days ago and are waiting for a return call/visit. Hopefully someone will read this and respond. read more

Today august 12, 2021 I got a message from Stanek window that they took from my debit card account $1,502.34. My downpayment on June was $1,800.00 This company without my permission took the 1,502.34 and the sad part my window installation is not even scheduled. After several messages left on Miss Elizabeth Avila message box, another staff who was very professional stated to me that that was the policy. The day the salesman (Brian) was in my home he stated I need $1,800.00 and the balance after window is full installed. This company got $3,302.34 and not day for full installation is set up. My feelings, this is wrong taking money from costumers debit card without your permission and the job is not even scheduled and completely finish. read more

Their lifetime warranty is a joke. When it came to window issues which has happened more then I was hoping for they would not stand behind their their product. not to mention the service call fee they charge. Next time I have a window issue I will replace it with a different manufacture. read more

Stanek changed its name and no longer honors the warranty on materials and workmanship . In my opinion they are are very dishonest company . I would not recommend ever doing business with them . read more

A subcontractor came to our condominium today to install Stanek windows on the fourth floor. The windows were sold to the owner by Stanek representative Dwight Zoellner. The installers were amazingly personally rude to other owners including Owner's association Board member. There were several racial slurs used. They also acted with NO regard for the safety of building occupants. The first and most egregious action was that of THROWING both a patio door screen and a patio door frame off of a fourth story balcony into a fenced yard. The yard is used by owners and their pets on a regular daily basis. There was no notice verbal or otherwise before the debris was launched into the yard. On their way down four floors into the yard both items hit the communication lines which run through the yard. Two owners witnessed the dangerous launch. During the remainder of the visit the contractors left supplies and garbage in the hallways leaned against walls and strewn on floors. It appears that Stanek only cares about selling windows NOT about providing quality trades people for installation. read more

I do not recommend this company. About a year ago, I purchased two new large Stanek picture windows from Great Day Home Improvement of Waukesha Wisconsin which is owned and operated by Stanek Window Company. I was completely pleased with my purchase. The window quality was excellent. After putting up with cold windows that had continual vapor problems, I was impressed that my new Stanek windows never steamed up this last winter. They were beautiful and well-made. The installation was also excellent. The installation team was on time, easy to work with, and I could tell that they were highly experienced. I had such a good experience that I decided to buy two more large windows for the front on my home. I called Great Day and arranged to have a salesperson write up an order. He did a great job of making sure that the order was correct. I was contacted by Great Day and informed that the windows had arrived even earlier than expected. So far, so good. When the installation crew arrived, they began to work but found out that Great Day had given them the wrong color trim. They waited for the company to send the correct trim but that took over two hours and they decided to go on to their next job. They left an inexperienced worker to complete the trim. After trying to complete the job, he realized that he did not have the knowledge needed to do the work so he said that he would let the company know and they would send someone to complete the job. After three days with no contact from Great Day, I called them and they sent a different team to complete the work. The second team arrived past 6:30 P.M. and began to complete their work in the dark and in near freezing temperatures. They worked for two hours and put up the aluminum trim but couldn't complete the caulking. After more than a week without contact, I called Great Day and asked when the work would be completed. They seemed to have no answer for my inquiry. It is now three days after that contact and I called again only to be told "sorry, we can't get in touch with the installers". "As soon as we can, we'll send someone out". At this point I have no idea when this contractor will complete the installation. But, I am hopeful. Needless to say, I am thouroghly disappointed with this entire experience. Other than the fact that the Stanek window quality seems to be excellent, I will never buy anything from this company again and I will do my best to inform others about how poorly Great Day Home Improvement has handled my purchase. read more

After spending $1,000's of dollars on 21 Stanek replacement windows in two different homes, we are having a problem with one window where the vinyl is peeling off. These windows were purchased with a life time warranty (a feature that helped us decide to purchase Stanek windows). We were pleased with the salesman, installation and installers but now that we need the warranty we have been told that they were sold and no longer honor the warranty. Stanek won't even come out to look at the window and based their decision on a photo. I am very disappointed and now wish I had purchased windows from another company. Do not purchase windows from Stanek as they do not stand behind their product. Not honoring the warranty only guarantees that you will spend more money to purchase a new window. read more

I had an appointment for 2:30 pm today to have an estimate, and no call no show. I called the office and Mary said "unfortunately your appointment didn't get assigned to anybody". C'mon really? I called them!! They offered to send someone out , but I said how can I do business with a company that has poor communication. There's a million company's out there looking for work, I'll just spend my money somewhere else. They just potentially lost about a $6000 job. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with this sketchy company. read more

If you would like to deal with a company that is horrible, step right up. We had an appointment this morning (8-9am) and they DID NOT SHOW UP OR CALL US. This would have been their SIXTH visit to try to install TWO windows correctly. As Susan L. mentioned in her 6/18/2018 review, they are AWESOMELY RUDE. On the FOURTH visit, they came to remeasure (Really? Couldn't measure it right the first three visits?). I asked the guy who showed up a reasonable question in a civil tone of voice. He REFUSED to answer me, and REFUSED to look at me or make eye contact. So yeah, Susan nailed it in her review. Previous to today, they've showed up with the wrong materials (in one case warped window trim) and they actually tried to get away with installing trim that was so wet it turned your hands brown when you touched it. Who lets it leave the shop WHILE STILL WET? So, to recap: Awesomely rude workers; Didn't show up OR call for a scheduled appoinment; tried to pass off defective material on the installation. Three and a half months later, we're still waiting for them to successfully install TWO windows. Really, are you that desperate to do business with these people? There are LOTS of people who sell and install windows. Correctly. read more

I've been meaning to write this for awhile...had 8 windows installed for $3,000 the good: you can pull the window down from the top the bad: -they were installed by sub contracters & were installed incorrectly..I cannot lock them..unfortunately, didn't find this out till last year -very difficult to raise the window up, have tried soap & silicone spray to no avail -the screens are so flimsy, my cat knocked it out just by bumping it & fell out the window...luckily, she only fell 2 feet onto grass..I have to use an extending screen along with the Stanek one -very drafty around the top of the window...probably because they were installed incorrectly. I will never use them again..;( read more

We bought a huge window for our kitchen. The window fogs up every morning.. the hardware for the windows are so cheaply made.. the screen has gaps and is made soft cloth which our dogs tore through two days after the window was put in.. read more

I am very disappointed with this company! I have purchased about 30 windows across 2011 and 2012. Winter 2016 I found one of the glass shattered. I called the company and ask for replacement. Someone showed up on January 6 2017 and measured the window. On May 4 2017 I received the replacement and it is with wrong pattern. Since then I have been calling the company numerous times and they told them the window will be ready by end of July. As of August 2, not only I do not have the window, they told me they do not even have the record of it. How did this company even survive all these years? read more
