Everyone we interacted with was so kind, and Meg in particular was wonderful. She was thoughtful, collaborative, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. No matter how small the question was, she took the time to offer guidance and reassurance. We held both our ceremony and reception indoors, and the space felt cozy and magical. The stone fireplace -- almost mythical in appearance -- with a glowing fire created the most spectacular atmosphere. The building itself is endlessly enchanting; every corner feels like a discovery. Surrounding the venue, the grounds are beautifully inviting -- the edge of the lake, the tall trees, and expansive views create space for quiet moments and truly stunning photographs. Our guests were enchanted by Valhalla -- those who had visited before shared how meaningful it felt to return, and those experiencing it for the first time expressed a desire to come back. Valhalla offers something rare: a venue that already holds so much character on its own, yet welcomes personal touches effortlessly. It allowed us to create a wedding that felt entirely ours. It holds a very special place in our hearts, and we're so appreciative of the wonderful experience we had.

There was ample space so everyone had a bed and it was spread out enough so the guys could hang out down in the pool room while getting ready and the gals could get ready upstairs. The view at the home is absolutely breathtaking and the hot tub perfectly overlooks the lake and mountains. All of the stunning views and scenery gave for some pretty epic and gorgeous photos to capture our big day. Josh and Blue Sky Events worked together to make everything run seamlessly the day of our wedding; even when the heater broke on the tent during the rehearsal dinner and the caterer's generator died before our food could be made the day of the wedding. Josh was there doing everything in his power to make things work and make our day great. He was clear on what rules needed to be minded and checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we had what we needed. He was always making sure everyone was having a good time and was a great person to hang out with too. Most wedding venues in Lake Tahoe make you use their caterers, don't let you do unique things like bring a late night munchie food truck or anything outside of their own packages and for some people that's great but for us, we wanted flexibility and Fjeldheim allowed that for us so we could have a day that was perfectly us.

Wow, wow, WOW! Drop dead gorgeous! That is exactly how I would describe this lovely property…read more Known as one of the top 10 venues and event spaces in South Lake Tahoe, this place has EVERYTHING you could imagine. If you're looking to spend a lovely couple of days in Lake Tahoe and need a place to stay, this is the place for you! Talk about paradise; look no further. Tahoe Mountain Home is a 9,000 square foot private vacation home that can house 30+ people easily. Sitting high above the lake, this property offers awesome views overlooking the lake. I recently came over the weekend with a group of friends and was able to discover all that this property has to offer. The house offered over eight bedrooms and sleeping for the entire guest, all the rooms come with their own name; honestly, I felt like I was in a mansion! My mouth dropped as I drove up the one-way hill to get to the house, the place is HUGE! There were different access ways to the entrance, a fabulous hot tub in the back of the house that fits 4-5 people comfortably and a big parking lot that fits over 10 cars easily. This place is exceptional! The house is located 5-10 minutes from all of the fun entertainment including the casinos, restaurants, and bars and lounges. We took Uber every night and didn't have an issue at all. Now, on to the BEST part, it was SNOWING the WHOLE.WEEKEND. I have yet to experience snow before, so this was not only fun for me but exciting! Now, driving in the snow was not exciting at all, trust me, but playing in it was FUN. On the last night of our stay, we received emails and news reports that there was a blizzard coming and that we may be snowed in. Okay, I became scared once I received the news, but that quickly changed when we had the housing manager come over. Josh is the 'housing manager' and the night I became very anxious about the snowstorm, he came over with his lovely dog and informed our group that we were going to be Okay. He discussed the weather and even asked all of us for our car keys while he plowed the driveway so we can leave much easier to leave for the next-day departure. Can you believe that he moved all 10 cars and plowed the driveway all by himself? OMG, bless his heart! After Josh left, my group advised me that Josh is a wonderful guy that comes throughout our visit to check in with us. I was so touched by the personal touch. This property, as well as Josh, deserves MORE than 5 stars! Yelp, we really have to work on expanding the 5 stars (emoji: smiles). I definitely would recommend staying at this property. I look forward to my next stay. Thank you, Josh, for your amazing hospitality during our stay!

It was only the second venue we looked at and the second we got up there, we knew it was THE PLACE! We couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. First off- THE VIEW! It is beautiful! Our sunset was incredible that night and I cannot wait to get our pictures back. There's a spot below the lodge for a perfect sunset shot. It rained around 3:30pm day of our wedding (thunder & lightning) so the staff started to move our dance floor inside from the deck and started packing up the ceremony chairs. Then 20 minutes later, the rain cleared and everything was brought back outside. The ceremony and dancing stayed outside! We took our tour Memorial Day weekend 2016 - the first weekend of the year they open for weddings. They were setting up for a wedding so it was nice to see some of the set up. We went up for the food tasting in September 2016 and it was really neat. They invite all the couples for the next year to come up and food taste together. They set up the tables with different linen colors and napkin folding styles as well as glassware lay outs to let you see how everything looks. And then you can decide on what you like. They make their most popular dishes for the couples to try (I believe you can make a request off their list if there's something you specifically want to try). For our wedding we had a buffet and chose the prime rib and chicken Piccata. They were delicious!!! Another big hit was the bacon wrapped scallops and ahi tuna wonton crisp appetizers! Highly recommend. We had the kegs of beer and brought up all of our own wine and champagne (which they let us bring up the night before). We also last minute added the cash bar which was a good idea! (We paid for beer/wine and if our guests wanted liquor, they had the option to pay for it). The tram ride up is fun and quick. The outdoor ceremony area is beautiful with the lake in the background. They have an arch you can use but we brought up one my father in law built us. (They let us bring it up the night before and put it together during our rehearsal walk through and then they actually brought it out and put into place for us on our wedding day). I mainly corresponded with Libby but both her and Lizzy were so helpful and very quick to respond. They answered all my questions and took care of my requests. They really helped make the night run smoothly. All the other staff was great too! I could go on and on about how amazing this venue is! If you're thinking of getting married in Tahoe then I highly recommend the Lakeview Lodge at Heavenly. You get the best of everything - the top of the mountain and a gorgeous lake view back drop!

Just book it, especially if you have fur babies!…read more My husband and I live in Reno and wanted to book an anniversary trip to Tahoe that we could take our senior Weimaraners. We also have a friend who is a photographer and we haven't had professional photos taken since our wedding 18 years ago so we thought The Landing would be the perfect place since they host weddings here and it's right next to the beach. There are so many excellent parts to mention but I will start with the staff. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Our 15 year old had just passed and so our 12 year old was a little lost and loved all of the attention. She was treated just like one of the family. They even allow dogs on the free shuttle which is so perfect so we were able to go into the village and have lunch with her. It's a downhill walk back and so pretty, so we enjoyed the fresh air back. They upgraded our room and the views of the lake were perfect. It was so easy taking Juno out for potty breaks. It was extremely quiet and clean. The heated floors and toilets are a nice touch. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and it is the best meal I've had in Tahoe. The Venison is unbelievably tender and flavorful. My husband loved his homemade pasta with huge prawns. Our server, Kevin, went above and beyond to make the night special. They even let us take a few pictures in the bar area which I think turned out really cool with all of the bottles and colors in the background. Of course we all come for Tahoe! This place is right on a perfect spot. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, some trees and grassy areas also made for perfect pictures. We were there right at the start of Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. I'm sure it will get busy in the height of summer but even then being able to walk across the street from your room makes it so convenient. We want to thank everyone at The Landing for a perfect trip! We can't wait to do it again!

All the included amenities make The Landing stand out! One of our drivers, Benjamin had great energy and suggestions! Loved the free shuttle drives to everything nearby within a 2mi radius. Amazing location. Everything is within a walking distance. We had a partial lake view room with a balcony and fireplace. Our room was spacious and beds were super comfy! There's a mini fridge and Lavazza espresso machine and coffee pods. Heated bathroom floors, heated toilet seats, great shower pressure, and a bathtub with jets. Loved the touch with bath robes and slippers! They also have a rooftop bar with a direct view of the lake. One of the nights, there was a wedding and it was closed to hotel guests. The next day around 5:30pm there was live music- the duo was singing covers and taking requests. They were amazing! There was also complimentary charcuterie. Definitely a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Here are some other noteworthy amenities during our stay: Complimentary champagne from 3pm-10pm. Smores kits 6pm-10pm. Coffee, hot cocoa, tea, fresh apples in the lobby- and the best water from Tahoe. Free daily admission to the private Lakeside Beach. Heated pool and Jacuzzi. Fire pits. Even after we checked out, beach admission, parking and shuttle drives are still included for the whole day. Onsite restaurant, formerly known as Jimmy's which we didn't try. We stayed for a couple nights and wished we could stay longer. It was a stay that made us not want to leave the room and hotel! It was a perfect getaway and we can't wait to return for many more firsts together.
