Went here for my 4 year anniversary with my girlfriend. Honestly, I'm not the fine dining type of person, but I kept my mind open and optimistic as my girlfriend was excited for it. The drinks were amazing, I loved my beer and my girlfriend loved her cute drink. The courses were delicious and I enjoyed 4/5 of them. The vibes were calming and the views were immaculate. I'm here at a the celebrity golf tournament, and they won't even let us walk down to the beach?! Are you serious? We're paying customers here, supporting your event, and we're being treated like a nuisance. No signage, no communication, just rude staff blocking the way like we're trying to sneak into a VIP area. This is a celebration, not a prison. Maybe don't advertise a venue with beach access if you're going to treat people like they don't belong. All the negative reviews share a common theme and they are not wrong. We were shocked by the lack of luxury at Edgewood Tahoe. While the common areas are beautiful, the guest experience and room quality are closer to a 3-star level despite paying over $1000/nt. The room amenities were significantly outdated (early 2000s decor) and lacked basic comfort. Our mattress was lumpy, and the ALL towels were incredibly rough--comparable to sandpaper-across multiple rooms. Furthermore, for a luxury resort, seeing cheap plastic UNSECURED soap dispensers screwed into the shower walls like a budget gym was disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was the staff training. We were initially placed in a room with multiple BROKEN USB ports and NO complimentary water promised. That night, we were kept awake by high-pitched shrieking from a neighboring room. When we alerted security, they were unhelpful, eventually suggesting we "use earplugs" for a noise that was clearly audible through walls and recordings. After an hour of noise, I again politely asked to be moved so my family could sleep, the front desk attempted to guilt-trip me instead of providing a solution before moving us very RELUCTANTLY. Communication is also non-existent between shifts. I spent hours trying to move a breakfast reservation, being bounced between a front desk that "couldn't help" and a concierge that had already left. Messages weren't passed on, and notes weren't kept. I understand sometimes unavoidable things can happen but we NEVER got any apologies from the staff for all the mishaps during our stay. If anything, the staff seemed like they didn't like their jobs and didn't want to be bothered by clients. For the price point, the hospitality is severely lacking. I would not recommend this resort to friends or family. read more

I recently visited Edgewood Tahoe for a conference and some skiing. The service in the hotel was excellent, with very helpful reception staff who are friendly and warm. The ski shop team was also incredibly helpful in getting to and from Heavenly mountain, with a shuttle service that runs every 15-or-so minutes. My only comment would be that turn-down service was at odd times for our particular set of rooms--such as when we had just gotten back from the mountain or when getting ready for dinner. This property is a little off the path and gives a little more privacy to those willing to pay for it. My family vacations a lot, and we are used to large and private properties. This one is exceptional, especially in a city like South Tahoe. People here are super cool, very relaxed and food is great. Lots of choices here. Edgewood is exceptional in their customer service. A little chilly, but what a setting. Great bar staff, wide selection of refreshments, cozy Adirondack chairs and spectacular lake and Sierra Nevada mountain views. RE: NYE weekend stay and Edgewood Restaurant's NYE Dinner/Party. THE HOTEL LOBBY: -Very beautiful, decorated tastefully for the holidays -Huge floor to ceiling windows from which you can see the lake and surrounding trees. -2nd Floor: additional lounging areas and board games available. THE HOTEL SERVICE: At a similar price point to the Ritz and Four Seasons, we expected the same level of service and organization and were severely disappointed. (1) We were not greeted by any hosts upon arrival. No one offered to take our bags. We found our own trolly and brought it inside for check in. (2) We had to find someone to park the car. There were so many cars blocking others in the entry, it was absolute chaos. (3) Front desk looked flustered but friendly; we were offered a glass of champagne. (4) Our room was not cleaned until 4pm and the turn down service came back at 4:30pm. 3 maids were seen gossiping in our hotel room when we got back, all while the hotel claimed to be short staffed. (5) Our room was at the end of the hallway, furthest away from the water dispenser and elevator. (6) The guy that delivered our luggage appeared angry, didn't greet us, and dropped our bags at the door. Didn't offer to set anything up on the luggage stands as they do at other high end hotels. (7) At the end of our stay we had to wait 15-20 min in the cold for staff to get someone to retrieve our car. BLACK CAR SERVICE: (1) Picks you up and drops you off at locations by the hotel. They will pick you up afterwards too, but you have to save their numbers to call. (2) NYE into New Year's Day was chaos. The driver told us they were working until 1am. We called at 12:30am and were told they were done driving at 12am. We had to argue with the hotel to get picked up from a nearby casino, and the drivers were in fact working until 1am. THE ROOM: (1) Very spacious and clean. Lots of chairs and areas to lounge on. Fireplace in the room. (2) Smelled strongly of spices and was in desperate need of being aired out. It continued to smell this was for the 3 days we were there. (3) Showers had great pressure, bathroom didn't get steamy from the shower. (4) The rooms are very dark even with all the light sources on. It was hard doing makeup with a small makeup mirror and inadequate lighting. THE NYE DINNER: -Very, very disappointing. Last year this exclusive party took place at Edgewood Restaurant and was $300 for dinner, open bar, dance floor, buffet, multiple stations for socializing, and DJs until midnight. -This year, it was double the price at $600/person. There was about half the attendees and far less organization. -We saw tables being set up inside the hotel lobby and asked the front desk and managers and were told that no one knew about the after dinner party details. This was outrageous!! How is the staff so uninformed about a hotel's hosted event?! -We called the concierge and were reassured that the after party was going to be at Edgewood Restaurant and not at the hotel lobby with the hotel stayers that didn't pay the $600. (REFER TO AFTERPARTY SECTION). -We contacted the restaurant a dozen times over a month in advance to ask about Vegetarian accommodations - NO ONE was able to provide us a tasting menu for this dining experience, which is ridiculous to be paying that much to be told that the chef will just "figure it out." -Edgewood Restaurant had gorgeous holiday decor. Coats were checked in. We were offered appetizers. Servers were exceptionally friendly. Live classical music was being played. -Long wait times between courses; servers said the chef was running behind despite there being less attendees compared to last year. -The meal was good, well-paired with wines, but not for $600 - which is French Laundry pricing (Michelin 3 star). Chef Randy's Explosion dessert was our favorite. THE NYE AFTERPARTY: -After the dinner we were told that in fact the party was going to take place in the hotel lobby!! INFURIATING because we were told the exact opposite by the concierge. We were piled in with hotel guests that were able to attend this sad after party for FREE! -The open bar here was limited to a very few types of signature drinks and desserts. They didn't even have tonic water. -Rowdy kids and random hotel guests were in the middle of the party tables. -The tables were small and cramped. There was no place to put our coats for this event - we were in fancy evening gowns. -The live music was not dance music, no dance floor, nothing was interactive, very few servers present here - which was horrible when you paid top dollar and came from another state to attend! -Other attendees that had been there last year also stated that this was an absolute downgrade from the NYE dinner and party last year. We will not be coming back. Not to this hotel, not to this poorly arranged NYE dinner/party. We recommend staying elsewhere (I.e. the Ritz for better service) and just visiting this hotel to take pretty pictures. read more

I was fortunate enough to get to stay here for the weekend. Located right basically on the Edgewood Golf Course, valet parking is free or you just park yourself. My friend who took me here drives a car he says no valet gets to drive, so we parked ourselves. The hotel grounds are very elegant and you can tell there aren't any "middle income " people staying here! The staff was very friendly, though I think might need more training. The in house restaurant is very convenient, and serves all 3 meals if you don't want to leave the hotel. It's easy enough to walk across the parking lot and go to the other 2 available restaurants at Edgewood as well. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, not the suites or real fancy ones as the prices really go up for those rooms. The room rates go up and down according to demand, like during the golf tournament, standard rooms are $800! a night. Our standard room was a little smaller than I thought it might be, for a hotel at this lux level. The bathroom was very nice with a tub and a separate big shower "room". Everything worked in the room as did the WiFi. The deck was sort of smaller, more like a balcony with 2 chairs. I guess if you have the money to stay at a place like this, I'd go for the upgrade room and then you'll feel like a real lux experience. This place is nice too, if you'd like to stay in a nice hotel at Stateline NV and not have any casino or smoking around you. This place is all about the green grass and golf and the beach. You have private access to Lake Tahoe and the beach along with cocktail service! The pool and spa tub are quite nice as well as is the full bar and service by the pool! Great hotel, BAD service. We had no idea it was "valet only" so we didn't bring our car key (we use the Tesla app). Unfortunately for us, we had to park in Lot C (lengthy walk) and they told us we can hitch a ride with the valet drivers in their golf carts. We've tried THREE times to ask for rides and each valet personnel said no. So we even had to WALK IN THE RAIN to the hotel. RIDICULOUS. Additionally, the attendee at the hotel gate is rude. Why do we need to check in with them every time we drive to the hotel? Also there were NO towels available at the pool. 3 separate guests had to ask the front desk if someone would bring more towels. They don't clean up the pool area either. Bunch of used towels, cups, dishes just sitting there even if the guests have left. What kind of 5-star hotel service is this? My first and likely only One star review given. This place has been on our bucket list. We booked this place for our mini-moon, immediately after our wedding. Big mistake. I wish we stayed at the Ritz in North Tahoe. -check in was painless, thankfully -wifi didn't work for us and no help from IT. As a result, we were forced to purchase a movie for entertainment instead of using the free Chromecast - our friend paid for champagne and chocolate strawberries to be sent to our room through the concierge service. Never came. -I am 100% convinced the bartender at the Bistro was drunk or on drugs. He seemed annoyed that I ordered a drink at 8pm. He kept promoting another place that he worked at across the street -lack of communication between the Clubhouse and the Bistro. They sent us over there despite the clunhouse being rented out completely Bottom line - incredibly disappointed and won't be coming back. read more

I love the Edgewood in Stateline, NV. The views are spectacular. Even if you don't get a view room, you can exit at the back of the hotel and take an amazing walk along Lake Tahoe and take in all of its beauty. The staff has always been incredibly kind and nice. Absolutely love the decor of Edgewood, it's stunning. We had a late dinner here Sunday evening. The place was buzzing. We arrived a few minutes before our rezzie and took some time to look around the hotel a little bit. I swear, I'm not sure what's in the mountain air but people up here are just the nicest. Sweetest teenage girl complimented me saying she loved my outfit. My heart just about melted. These are the types of guests Edgewood attracts. I mean a teenager being friendly, if that's not an oxymoron I don't know what is. I think I'll be wearing more tailored slacks to dinner. We were seated pretty close to on time, but the service was super slow at first. The vibe was perfect, reminded me a bit of the Park City - fire pits on, smells of smores being made drifted our way. It was a holiday weekend and the place was really just busy. When we finally ordered, I asked realistically how long would it take for food to make its way out of the kitchen to us and I received an honest answer which I really appreciated. To our surprise, the food arrived even quicker than mentioned. I couldn't decide on a cocktail and didn't love the wine selection. I also would have loved to see more Bourbon based cocktails. This girl loves her Bourbon but Tequila works too. I like pickles a lot but I've never heard of a pickle picante margarita. I went this route, since it was also a spicy marg. I think our server knew I was a bit on the fence with my selection so he may have told the bartender to ease up on the pickle juice, or it really does just blend nicely. I enjoyed it. I ordered the little gem salad, which was a nice start to dinner and the Alaskan Halibut as my entrée. I really enjoyed my fish dish, it was cooked perfectly and the size was very generous for the price. I naturally wanted dessert but really I was just too full from dinner to order one. I'd surely return here in the future and highly recommend the place, I doubt highly there are many places much nicer than the Edgewood in town. read more

It's a gorgeous location and it's a good location to visit for dinner, drinks or a spa day. The site seems hit or miss if you are a hotel guest. It seems like some of the staff may be new and younger, so the level of hospitality you would expect for a resort like this is lacking. Our room key wasn't working and it seemed like the battery was dead on the room lock. While trying to get into our room I explained this to a room server attendant who was just dropping off food for another room and just happened to be on our floor. His master key didn't even work and so I proceeded to go downstairs for help. I explained the whole situation with the front desk personnel and just kept giving me new keys and told me to go upstairs to try the new keys. I finally told them that we should call engineering to check it out and I waited downstairs for a while the middle of the night. Staying at a hotel like this, they often offer water, tea or coffee while you wait for an unexpected inconvenience, but there was no hospitality in that regard. the hotel personnel at the front desk were just chatting away about their personal lives and the lobby was empty without any guests checking in or needing assistance. I grew tired of sitting and waiting in the corner of the lobby and it didn't seem like I was going to be notified when it was done because they just said that engineering was on their way. I was tired of waiting and went upstairs to check on the issue myself and to talk to engineering who was actually at the room. I worked with them to get into our room and told me what to look out for if it happens again and to call their team. Gorgeous site, however hospitality staff has room for improvement. Hope they can get it sorted out because it seems like a lot of other people who actually stayed at this site had issues with their stay. Sunday, 6/26/2022 - Went to eat at Edgewood Resort for brunch at The Bistro. This place is beautiful! Hotel is beautiful. Golfing area, from what I can see, grab and beautiful. I don't play golf. It's only valet parking. Right when we walked in the hotel entrance to go to The Bistro, it was beautiful and clean. I'm reviewing this as a visitor and not a hotel guest. Upon arrival... Pros 1) area and hotel is beautiful! 2) outside view is absolutely gorgeous 3) they have a beautiful beach and a great view of the mountain. 4) there's games in the grassy area: ping ping ball, checker, chess, bean bag, etc. 5) a foot rinse area for when you're done at the beach and returning to the hotel. 6) water felt nice. The Bistro restaurant review 7) The Bistro - servers were very professional and very nice. 8) restaurant is clean. 9) table, chairs, plates, cups, utensils all clean. 10) water tasted great! No metal or funky taste. 11) We were sitting outside to eat brunch. They even had a young man try to fix the umbrella shading our table outside to try to shade ALL the chairs. But that didn't work. It's ok. He tried. 12) they were quick on bringing our water out to us. Waitress was very nice and attentive. 13) when we got our foods? From each person whom ate their plates: - Steak and egg wasn't very good. Steak was supposed to be cooked rare. But it was toooo rare. Scramble eggs good tho. - Eggs benedict wasn't cooked right, ham not cooked, bread not toasted. But potatoes good. - Kids pasta was too dry. The child didn't even eat it. - kids steak and eggs was good. This plate got devour. Lol. - Edge chicken sandwich was good. - Kids chicken tenders was the last plate to come out for us. Tenders were VERY dry. The child didn't like it. - orange juice is $4.50 a glass, for those wondering. 14) the view is absolutely gorgeous! 15) we saw a hotel pool right in front of us for those staying in the hotel. 16) we saw golfers driving their golf carts around. 17) I love the ambiance of the hotel, restaurant and lake area. Cons 1) server was pretty good at the beginning. But it took a long time to get our check. After eating, we sat for a long time before we got our check. 4 people went to the bathroom at different times while we were waiting for our check. Lol. But servers were all very nice. 2) there are a lot more geese this year. A lot of large geese droppings every where. Lol. My poor little ones were grossed out when they accidently step in poop barefoot. So watch where you are stepping. Conclusion I really liked this place. I recommend it. Maybe next time at The Bistro, we'll try a different dish and see how it is. I love the view. I love how servers were all very professional and nice. This was our third visit. For our first two visits, our room was upgraded. We didn't even have to request it. We are Gold members of Hotels.com. This time, Emily checked us in. We told her about our Gold status. She didn't seem too impressed. I asked about upgrading our room since there were rooms available above our room category. She said there are no upgrades available, unless we paid a fee. This doesn't make sense. They advertise as being a VIP Property, offering room upgrades to Gold Members. See pic. The hotel is lovely. No doubt about that. However, our room had a strange loud 'windy' noise coming from the toilet room vent. Needless to say, I had trouble sleeping at night. We had room 262. We never had this problem from our previous visits. We left the next day. Skipped breakfast. We won't be spending a single more dollar on this place. We won't be coming back. I took my husband here for his birthday this past November and we had an amazing stay! From the room to the staff to the food...A1! It was our first time away after having our last son and we were worried it would be a bit of a hassle being on a trip with them so young but the premises did not dissapoint! There was plenty to do from the campfires roasting s'mores to the spacious and snowy outside lands for them to venture into. The staff also gave us some wonderful recommendations for local places to take them and we found their suggestions to be perfect! To top it off, when we checked out I left my breast pump behind by accident. As soon as we made it back home, I realized I left it, called up, and sure enough, a kind lady who was cleaning our room turned it in! They even mailed it back to me! It was a lifesaver as it wasn't a pump that was covered by insurance so I would have had to come out of pocket a few hundred bucks had someone decided to keep it! Super grateful for them! Rarely do I give 5 stars, but this place is just amazingly beautiful. Service is great. Start off with Champaign from check in. Parking is easy and convenient. The rooms themselves are beautiful and honestly are just what I want for my future master bedroom (from the bathroom shower design to the bathtub to the floors and walls. Only thing I'd change it make the bathtub with a view looking outside and more spacious bedroom). This is a perfect getaway from the crowded beaches. You can walk outside to a private lake view. We went in winter January so it wasn't crowded. The pool is nice and heated with robes. Lots of places to sit outside by a fireplace. The bars are pricey as expected. Just checked in to the beautiful Edgewood Tahoe resort. Very disappointed to see our room has an obstructed view (half of patio is behind a wall) and we're directly above the main lobby doors. Great hearing and seeing everyone in their robes headed to the pool and eating s'mores. So romantic! They know it's an anniversary trip for us (30) but for some reason moved us from our original location at check in to this room. My husband and I stayed at Edgewood Tahoe to celebrate our anniversary early. The resort is stunning and has a lot to offer but we have some mixed reviews regarding our stay. The valet parking is convenient but they do not offer the option to self park so there is an additional valet parking fee per night that isn't disclosed upon your booking. The resort fees add up quickly as well and is taken out of your incidental fee after you've checkout. I only mention this for those who are not aware of the additional fees you pay while staying at a resort. The resort amenities they offered during our stay were morning yoga, evening smores, and a movie outside for the kids. There are some small fees for using the pool and room service as well. Upon check in, we were given our key but not offered champagne like the guests before us (a small disappointment). We arrived at our room to find a beautiful view but dirty bathroom floors with a broken sliding door between the soaking tub and bedroom so was inoperable and I do not believe they took note that this was our anniversary stay because there is usually a small token from the resort in the room for special occasions but in this case there was not. The room itself was nice and had a fireplace, small seating area, and balcony with additional seating. We did return to the desk to inform them of the dirty floors and broken door. The woman apologized and said she'd move us, however, we felt the room she wanted to move us to was a downgrade to the one we were in so we asked if they could come have the floors cleaned and door fixed while we were out. They did come clean most of the bathroom floor but I cleaned the spots that were still dirty and the door was not touched. The stay overall was wonderful thanks to the views, surrounding area, coffee bar, shuttle, and restaurant on site, but there were some definite downfalls to our stay. Also, be sure to check your Folio to make certain you are being charged correctly. A lot of our stay felt as though we had to constantly check with the desk regarding our Folio being incorrect. read more

Stayed a night at Edgewood Tahoe for my Birthday (9/28) and it was just as I'd expect...serene, modern, and beautiful. I reserved a night here many months in advance because not only was it my BDay but I was able to get a bangin deal (COVID times). Upon arriving at the property we were greeted by valet & a bellman, who were super polite and quick to helps us. The front desk associates were quick to check us in and provided us with daily activities. Our room was a standard/Tahoe King Bed room and included a huge tub and fire place. The room was a perfect size for 2 of us and we absolutely loved the room vibes and bathroom. The property had a modern in the woods feels which I felt was perfect for a resort in the woods. They had firepits all throughout the grounds, where we enjoyed in the evening after dinner and in the morning while drinking our coffee. Another amentity that is worth mentioning is their heated pool! It was a 70ish degree Fall day and were able to enjoy the pool because the pool temp was somewhere in the mid-80s and felt perfect. Regarding their food/restaurants, they had a couple places to eat but we already had plans to go somewhere off the property. Although we did have the opportunity to buy coffee and a pastry from their Coffee Bar and it was really great quality. There was so much awesomeness to this resort that I didn't list so I hope you all get the chance to experience for yourselves. Beautiful location and amazing 80-degree heated pool right on the lake on a snowy winter trip. Honestly, nothing beats the location here - it was perfect for our baby to run around by the lake watching the geese and beautiful scenery. The day we arrived, there was no snow - it was a sunny day with a clear view of the lake. The next morning, due to the night snow storm, we woke up to the most beautiful view of the mountains and lake all covered in snow. It was perfect timing to visit Tahoe because we got to introduce fresh white powder to our baby. FYI - Make sure you bring tons of $3-$5 cash for tips - you'll be tipping everyone: valet, bell man for bag cart, housekeeping, janitors, waitresses or staff bringing out the complimentary s'mores or morning bar cart items (fresh juices in cute glass mini jars, and mini muffins, granola, etc.), etc. Now, for the reason we deducted one star. Get ready for a short novel, lol. When we arrived, they gave us a room that had hair everywhere (barf!) and it wasn't cleaned (one of the reasons we chose this resort was due to friend's recommendation about it being super covid safe). We noticed the front desk and Adam immediately upgraded us to their king suite lake view. Loved the suite and the views, but still wasn't 100% clean. Unfortunately, the heater went out in this king suite at 1am and blew cold 60-degree air conditioning directly onto my face and family's faces, including our baby. I woke up with a sore throat and freezing. Immediately called the front desk at 12:30am and the night manager, Jose, sent us an engineer to fix the heater. So, there I am pregnant, cold, exhausted, sick from the freezing air blowing directly onto our faces, in the resort robe ...and just waiting for the engineer to arrive at 12:30am-1am. Well, I waited and he couldn't fix it. He even took apart the heater with a flashlight while doing his best to not wake the baby (thanks, engineer!). Waited another hour for housekeeping to bring up space heaters. Along with leaving the doors open to the other room so that heater could warm up both rooms and the two space heaters, we survived the night. For a luxury resort and a $1300/night suite, you'd think the room would be ready and working 100%, but it wasn't. So, there I was up for almost two hours just to get space heaters, so my family and I could stay warm. Of course Jose felt awful, so he offered $100 in resort credits, but that doesn't even cover the DAILY occupancy tax, county tax, $25 parking fee, $55 resort fee, and $7.70 resort fee tax (which total way over $150 daily), but it's the thought that counts, right? The next morning after my horrible experience that night of moving rooms then broken heater, Miguel, the front desk receptionist told us two engineers would take a look at our heater while we were out. Well, they arrived right when it was our baby's nap time and they said they fixed it. Lo and behold, they did not fix it because same cold air blowing directly on our faces happened again that night (good thing I checked before we went to bed). Adam called an engineer up again who confirmed the heater was broken. So, Adam offered us another night in the suite at a Tahoe King rate, which was really nice of generous of him. Kudos to him and the service team trying to make things right for our special getaway. Although we had the worst first night dealing with cold air in snowy Tahoe at a luxury resort, we still had a great thanks to the location right on the lake where baby could enjoy seeing the geese and playing in snow in a safe area, and thanks to the 80 degree heated pool overlooking the lake that we certainly took advantage of! Thank goodness for those towel robes - saved us from freezing to death from the pool back to our rooms. Overall, we'd recommend and definitely stay here again! read more

So far, before staying there, we had a extremely unpleasant experience with the front desk over the phone. Called to ask for an upgrade to a lake view room for two nights after booking. The front desk was extremely impatient, unfriendly, rude, and unhelpful! She treated me as a BEGGAR!!! We paid $3,000+ for two nights and expecting exceptional services, but very unfortunately that the front desk is not even qualified for a motel-level services. When she picked up the call, she was annoyed to greet...I asked for upgrade, and she impatiently responded and kept interrupting when I spoke...she didn't even let me finish all my sentences...seems like she was in a hurry to get off work, but it was just only 9:30am!!! She told me that I need to pay $150 per night for the upgrade, and I asked why it's different than the website offered me when I booked the room last night and I was offered $50 per night for the upgrade...She was so rudely to answer "I can't give you free upgrade..." WOW, that's so offensive. I'm not a beggar, and I just wanted to make sure and need an explanation for the difference. I asked if she could match the offer that the website did (if not, I'm fine as long as she tried), but her attitude was like, I can't give you discount...(with a kid's tone...) I was extremely disappointed and upset by her rude and offensive services. I spoke with her manager, Jose, and told him what happened right after. He said I'll talk to the person and also check if he could help me to upgrade my room...until now, almost 6pm, haven't heard a word from him. Lol What a "5-star" experience!!! read more

This hotel was a major disappointment. Yes the lobby is beautiful but soon after you get over that view, there is nothing but let down. The floor is dirty, they never vacuumed during our stay. The tables had prints and dirt all over it... so the lobby looks nice until you start looking at the micro. Checking in, their system was down do they couldn't properly check us in and said we would have to get them our credit card later for incidentals. That was fine, but when I walked into our room there was a huge, wet brown, circular, stain on one of the beds. Also there was no internet, and we are one of those people that work remote. So that was a huge problem. They came and changed the bed sheets THE FOLLOWING DAY, which meant we couldn't actually sleep on it, because its gross. When I asked them about wifi, they were like " Oh we should have given you an access code, no one gave that to you?" This was annoying because we called and spoke to reception about it and they didn't tell us anything about a code. The bath and toilet were CLOGGED. We told them so many times and it took them 3 tries to fix it. The air system is super weird as it went up to 80 degrees in the middle of the night by itself and we were boiling. This happened every night and wasn't fixed until our last night. The TV is super old, and you can't cast anything. They put us next to a maintenance elevator so all we kept hearing is door slamming open and closed. Multiple people from the hotel kept knocking on our door at 10pm!!! almost every night. I had my service dog with me and she was super stressed out with all the noise and knocking. Amenities: The jacuzzi was down one of the days, you would think they wouldn't charge us a resort fee after the wifi and the jacuzzi, but no... they didn't take that off. Restaurant: The restaurant served us BLOODY BONE MARROW!!!! When we told them, all they did was remove it. Mind you this was after we had a bite, and I am sure this is why our stomachs were hurting the entire trip. The breakfast (which was included with Amex) came with Ham on it, after I told them twice I don't eat pork. so I was left eating over and hour later after everyone finished. It was a total let down. S'mores bar had old marshmallows Room service: The pizza came cold and soggy, tasted like camp food. They didn't take that off. The food in general was actually quite terrible. The flavors were off and it felt old. Your stomachs will be very upset. Brian - who was a visiting regional manager tried to fix it with giving us a partial spa credit, but problems kept happening after. After Brian left, I dealt with Alex, who LITERALLY LAUGHED IN MY FACE, AND ACCUSED ME OF LYING- event though there were notes in the system. My Fiancé was furious and I had to actively keep him from talking to Alex. Alex was one of the rudest human beings I have ever met in my life. Nina Kemp in the spa, was treating all the other people in the spa so sweetly, but treated us like we shouldn't be in there, not sure if this had to do with our cultural background, but she made us super uncomfortable so we didn't even stay in the spa after massage. The only person that worked at the hotel that we thought deserved way more that his position was Eric- our lobby waiter. Do yourself a favor- Don't stay here- go to the Ritz in North, or literally any other place. This place is trash! I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I enjoyed staying at the Edgewood. I always wanted to check out this place and thanks to hotels tonight I was able to find an affordable price for the night. The hotel is nice for its location and for the amenities they offer but I would have to knock off a star because right off the bat, the valet and doormen weren't helpful with the bags. Don't know if this is because of covid precautions or because we were two Asian ladies. There was no one to welcome or open the door to hotel to us as we were lugging our luggage to the front desk. And when we were checking out at the front desk, no one offered to help with the luggages to bring to the car. The staff could see our hands were full carrying our jackets and coffee plus our luggages. I was very disappointed in that aspect. You would assume for a highly rated hotel that a staff would offer to help two ladies. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Edgewood Tahoe for my 30th birthday for three nights after Thanksgiving. There was much research that went into deciding on this location and I'm so pleased with our decision. First off, every single staff member at the hotel treated us with the upmost professionalism. There was not one person who didn't greet us with a warm welcome during our stay. Notable mentions would be the beautifully decorated lobby, breathtaking views from the room, well maintained pool/hot tub area, convenient valet and shuttle service, and exceptional service. I've never had such quick service when ordering delivery to the room. The staff went above and beyond; they were so genuine and warm. We have not a single complaint from our visit and are already planning to visit for the summer! If you are deciding between Edgewood or another luxury hotel in the area, this resort will not leave you disappointed. read more

Beautiful hotel but that's where it ends. We came here for a ski trip with the family for my birthday. We asked the front to specifically place our rooms together, but we got placed literally on opposite sides of the hotel. We got the last small, dim room right next to the loud electrical room. In that room the shower head was broken and several of the lights weren't working. We then asked the front and specifically the manager (Andrea Rosales) to place us together but they refused to. She was extremely rude to us and It felt like we were staying at a second rate hotel, instead of paying thousands on a weekend ski trip at Tahoe. It felt like we weren't respected at all as guests. She will literally ruin your trip. To go on, the restaurant bistro will take 2-3 hours to get your order ready and will mess it up over 50% of the time. We also ordered room service, which took two hours to deliver and they served our burger completely raw with cheese on top, which we specifically requested without bc of a dairy allergy. They said it will take another TWO hours to get our order fixed. Seriously? The rudeness extended beyond the manager to the room service staff who felt like we were inconveniencing them because they got our order wrong. If you're going to spend money on a nice ski trip, go somewhere that will honor your requests and treat you respectively. P.S. if you're an Amex platinum card holder, they do not provide upgrades through fine resorts and hotels even though they had obvious availabilities online. Literally the most beautiful resort in Lake Tahoe. My husband and I had a trip planned here for April which had to be cancelled until further notice due to covid. We decided to make a trip if of and re-book for our wedding anniversary and we are SO GLAD we did! The service was stellar from the moment we arrived to the moment we (sadly) had to check out. Emily, was a true gem. She was phenomenal and made my husband and I feel so welcomed and taken care of. She answered all 100 of my random questions, we were greeted with champagne. She truly made us feel so excited to spent time in this GORGEOUS property. The amazing and phenomenal service didn't end there -- the restaurant (the bistro) was amazing! I believe a gentleman by the name of Ricardo welcomed us the first night for dinner - we didn't have reservations but we got seated right away. We felt so lucky to be there - it was a 10/10 experience. My hubby and I didn't know that there was a celebrity golf tournament taking place this weekend so we got to see some incredible athletes play as well. There was a wonderful lady by the name of Sarah that hosted us in one of the seating areas (to watch the celebs play) that literally gave us sooo much great info on the property, the lake, things to do, she had someone brings us snacks, and drinks. I mean, superb service, you guys. Gosh, I wish I remembered everyone's name because every single employee was incredible and nothing short of amazing and hardworking. Housekeeping was so accommodating as well, our room (which overlooked the lake & was worth every dollar) was always clean. I mean, housekeeping was incredible. The pool service was amazing. Our server was super sweet as well. We rented kayaks one of the days and the vendor they have on the property was sooo nice! I can't remember his name but he had long curly hair - he was so kind. Gosh, what else can I say, food was amazing, drinks were great, service was incredible, every corner of the property was spotless. I want to live there forever. We truly can't wait to go back.
