This was my new dentist after having an unresponsive and difficult dentist for the past couple of years and I'm so impressed by the service across the board. The front desk staff is friendly and made the initial appointment a breeze. All the staff who have cleaned my teeth have been so easy to be around, making the normally agonizing cleaning process less stressful and even entertaining. Dr. Harris is incredibly attentive and kind. He is soft spoken and remembers details about you after 6 months of not seeing you. Would highly, highly recommend to go see him after 3 appointments with him :) read more

Office staff is terrible!! Made an appointment on Zocdoc for general cleaning with Dr Harris. When I arrived to the office, I checked in for my appointment with Jackson at the front desk. He said that I wasn't in his schedule and asked me to reschedule even though I made the trip down to the office already. I told him that I booked an appointment on ZocDoc about a month ago and I have been receiving multiple reminders about the appointment via text and email. At this point, Jackson was very rude, flustered, and rolled his eyes at me. And I was the only patient in the office. He told me to sit down and wait while he was on the phone. Eventually he called me back to the desk and told me to fill out forms but didn't update me on the situation and if I was going to be seen or not by Dr Harris and told me to wait again. At this point, I was waiting in the office for 30 mins. He then updated me and said that he was making my chart and said he would have to ask Dr Harris if he would be able to see me today and said it probably wouldn't be a problem. While I continued to wait, he didn't talk to Dr Harris. I was very frustrated with his office staff. I ended up leaving and not having my teeth cleaned at all today. read more

I found Dr. Harris through my insurance search function and verified my choice by searching reviews. The service exceeded the reviews. Dr. Harris, Georgina, and the rest of the staff were friendly, efficient, and straightforward--no trying to upsell whitenings or other random services. Dr. Harris even was so friendly as to introduce me to a fellow alum of my college who was sitting in the next room. On top of it all, my Cigna PPO plan covered everything. As a dentist, Dr. Harris did a decent enough job and was pleasant. However, his staff is horrendous and facilities are poorly equipped. For example, during my procedure, they were unable to locate saline in the office. So they couldn't flush my mouth. Saline!! I've never heard of any doctor or dentist office running out of saline. Turned out not to be a problem - my mouth healed fine. No infection. However the billing / insurance experience has been a disaster. Georgina in the front office is incompetent - unable to fulfill the most basic functions of her job. She is unable to properly file a claim to insurance, and I keep getting billed over $1000 for a procedure that is 100% covered. I've had multiple conversations with her and the insurance company, but it's impossible to get her to correctly submit a basic form. Dr. Harris, as everyone mentions below, is a nice enough person, but his billing process is insane and his front office sucks. TWO 1/2 YEARS after I stopped seeing him I received a notice from a collections agency saying that I owed Dr. Harris $33 dollars. I ended up contesting it with the collections agency because I hadn't seen any bills from Dr. Harris's office in the two intervening years since my last visit so I had literally no idea what I was being charged for. I never heard from the collections agency again. A YEAR later, I get a call on my cell from Dr. Harris's office saying I owe them $33 bucks. They also said they had been mailing bills to my apartment for years, but when I asked them where they had been sending them, it was to an address I had moved from in 2014.This call in 2017 was the very first time I had heard from them. I asked them to send me an itemized bill which they emailed to me straight away. Looking through it, the office claims that I only partially paid one of my bills and left $33 bucks as a remaining balance. As this all supposedly happened THREE years ago, I have absolutely no way to verify this. Who keeps old Dr. bills and receipts that long?? Also, reading the reviews below, I'm starting to think maybe I never really owed them any money in the first place...... Note to Dr. Harris and his staff......start billing people in a reasonable amount of time! Waiting YEARS between visits and bills is ridiculous. Also, try CALLING your patients FIRST before sending them to a collections agency. Having a bill in collections can really screw up someone's credit and life. And over $33 bucks?! Give me a break. I've had the same cell phone number since the 90s and sorting this out literally took 5 minutes over the phone. read more

6 years later, I'm still coming back to Dr Harris. After I had a failed onlay x 3 times on one tooth followed by a root canal at a New Jersey dentist, I travelled back to Brooklyn and gave me a proper crown that has not caused any issues since. It was such a relief that he was able to accommodate me. Highly recommended. read more

Wonderful Dentist! I found him through my insurance provider, so I took a chance. For me, it has been quite an experience trying to find a dentist that didn't hurt. I found his staff to be quite helpful and informative both Jackson and Regina have high marks in my book. To me they have been both friendly and knowledgable when question about relevant issues. Dr. Harris is the first dentist that I have gone to and did not leave his office wishing 10,000 plagues upon him. He was both caring and considerate before and during the procedures making sure you were comfortable and pain-free. After having a route canal and and two crowns replaced, I was able to eat normally with only minimal discomfort after each procedure. I was so pleased after my last visit that I even recommended him to my cab driver. read more

I already had several appointments, easy scheduling and always on time. Even on peak hours, you can definitely see and feel there is a lot of work for the staff and Dr. Stanley he is doing his best. Went to Dr Harris for a year or so. He's a friendly, personable and perfectly decent dentist. I would in fact probably continue to be a patient of his if his billing procedures weren't such a nightmare.... Billing is done late, erratically, and per my insurance company (delta), incorrectly. Even worse, the person in charge of billing is only available by phone for a few hours on Saturdays only. ...I ended up being billed for more than i actually owed a year after receiving the services. DR HARRIS IS A SCAM ARTIST! I went to Dr. Harris for a simple cleaning because his office is near my job and he took my insurance. His receptionist told me that it is completely covered under my insurance when I got there. He did the cleaning and a few weeks later I received a detailed bill that he was supposed to send to my insurance company but was sent to me instead. He charged my insurance company $1200+ for the cleaning. My insurance covers $1500 per year for dental. To put the icing on the cake, not only did he charge my insurance $1200+, he sent me a bill for $121 in addition to the bill and when I refused to pay it, his office threatened to send it to collection. I had a horrible experience at at this office. I had to find a new dentist and I found Dr Harris on Zocdoc and so I decided to give him a try. Let me start by saying his bedside manner is not great. Also he is a one man show and doesn't have an assistant for any of the procedures (even cleanings) which should've been a red flag from the start. I made an appointment to get cavities filled on both sides of my mouth. When I got there I waited 35 mins to be seen. I sit in his chair and he begins looking at my xrays of my teeth and then goes to inject me with novacaine, which I had to stop him and ask which side he was planning on working on first ( bc you can't get both sides worked on in one day). This should've been voiced to me before. I said to him "maybe my left since there's more cavities on that side?" And he goes yeah I think that'll work (and seemed very unprepared and unsure). Then he takes out this HUGE LONG NEEDLE to inject me with and sticks it in my mouth and he must've hit a nerve or something bc it hurt SO bad and I've never been in pain like that before EVER from going to the dentist nor have a seen a needle that size for novacaine. One he stuck the needle in my mouth he then HELD IT THERE for at least a full minute or 2 before he took it back out and continued to do that 2 more times and it hurt like HELL. I mean I've never felt that pain before. I wouldn't even let him continue and I got up abruptly crying and told him that he hurt me and I wouldn't let him drill into my teeth and ran out of there. I was in SO much pain in my jaw for the next 3 days and could've even open my jaw to eat. I also had ringing in my left ear and had a horrible sinus headache on my left side. A week passes and I still can't open my jaw all the way to eat and this sinus headache won't go away and I am STILL hearing ringing. He really messed something up. DO NOT GO HERE. He clearly is not trained properly and doesn't know what he is doing. read more

I booked an appointment via Cigna, then got a call from the doctors office stating that "the time must be switched". My appointment was then switched- and when it was a week before, I cancelled via Cigna not knowing I was double booked by the office. I got a call the day of the cancelled appointment and was told I would be billed. When I questioned it, the rep persisted to say "well I'm going to bill you" and asked me a question "what would you do if you were in my position, would you bill me?" No professionalism, there was no getting through to the representative so I hung up after requesting not to be billed and explaining the situation. He said I booked through ZocDoc, which I did not- so I assume they booked me through there to charge me for this. When I hung up, they called back asking if I hung up and stated I'd be charged again. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Dr. Stanley is fine. The front office is the worst customer service experience I've ever had. They billed me for a service that wasn't covered by my insurance, that I never requested and that I'm not even sure was ever given to me. I told them repeatedly over the course of several months that I had not agreed to this service and I don't think I'd ever received it, so it wasn't very fair for them to be charging me. I called back after several statements to finally pay the bill (I gave up. This is too kafka-esque for me) and the front office manager HUNG UP ON ME. Wildly unprofessional. Went here for the first time for a cleaning and check up. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady that did my x-rays. The whole process was simple and stress free. Dr. Harris was great. He was friendly, easy going, the cleaning was pain free. My teeth look wonderful and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Will definitely be back and keep him as my regular dentist! read more

Great visit!!! I have braces and my orthodontist office is shared with Dr. Harris's office. While I was waiting his front desk clerk(very nice guy) asked if I had a regular dentist. Fillings placed months ago are crumbling off of my tooth. I've moved to another provide and called in to get a copy of xrays to be told that I have an outstanding balance that is months past due. They will not release xrays until I pay this balance I had no idea about. Why wasnt this communicated earlier? Also, two of the fillings done less that 12 mos ago need to be redone. read more

As someone who dreads the dentist, this was a very pleasant experience. The office is comfortable, clean and lovely, the receptionist is nice and Dr. Harris is great. He's very friendly and gentle, talking you through the process. And he did everything himself - I dunno if that's a Saturday thing or if he never has hygienists. I've been going to Dr. Harris for over 10 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He is concerned about your dental health in and out of the office. He's very personable and will speak with you at anytime if you have a dental issue. About eight years ago, a fellow teacher recommended her dentist. I went to him only once because he tried to give me unnecessary dental surgery in order to claim more money from my insurance. This Dentist is a con-artist, he is very nice an polite but he will over charge you for services you never requested and if you decides to fight it he simply will sale your debt to a collection agency. I've been seeing Dr. Harris since October last year. I was fed up with my previous dentist and wanted a fresh start. I actually found him via ZocDoc and booked my appointment. Dr. Harris is always professional and kind, and has a great bedside manner. I've seen him for cleanings and fillings, and I will soon have an implant put in (not looking forward to that but I'm glad I'm in his hands). The office calls ahead to confirm appointments which is helpful. I did have a billing issue but once I spoke with the woman in charge of billing (FYI: she works on the weekends), she cleared up some strange charges on my bill and I received a bill for the correct amount, which I gladly paid. My insurance is under my wife's insurance and the manager demanded her Social Security number in order to be seen. Started arguing with the manager. Dr. Stanley Harris DDS over heard and came running out to tell his manager that he didn't need my wifes social. Which was good because I wasn't going to give it. Office manager said he would give me an itemized bill for my personal Aflac policies. Had to argue with him to get this. Finally received it. Had another appointment schedule with Dr. Stanley Harris DDSand the same officer manager called me an hour before the appointment and told me Dr. Stanley Harris DDS couldn't see me. Period. This is as good as customer service gets! I was greeted with a warm welcome and new patient paperwork within 2 minutes of walking through the door. After I filled out my paperwork, doctor Stanley Harris greeted me and from there on It was smooth sailing. He performed my cleaning, x rays, filled my cavities, and had me consult with the orthodontist ( at my request) all in one visit. I was in and out. Beware of billing procedures! Dr. Harris himself was very nice, but we had major issues with their billing. As other reviews mentioned, their billing procedures are awful. Not only were things submitted improperly to our insurance and we were billed erroneously, but as they were supposed to be fixing it, we started receiving calls from debt collectors! They also gave my husband and I fluoride treatments without asking and then charged us for them, which insurance doesn't cover. It was months of phone calls to try to straighten things out and we still ended up paying just under $500 for 2 cleanings and a couple cavities just to be done with it all. read more

He did a few fillings for me, all of which fell out. Yes ALL! Be prepared to leave his office soaked after cleanings, and the biggest issue of them all, there's always a billing debacle. I noticed that he posted a debt on my credit when I was doing a routine credit check. I called and as usual, he couldn't answer any billing questions and made references to his pseudo billing department. In the end, I fought it through the credit bureau and had it removed. Please run!!! Don't even waste your time with this dentist and his staff!!...Its a shame that you can't even support a black own business but this place is a rip off, true scam artists work there. For years I went to HARRIS office, never had a problem with simple cleanings or even root canals or even billing. The problem started when I got an implant and it was done poorly and they gave me a impartial implant( didn't even think that was possible). I was in the absolute worst pain during the procedure and after, even years later I had discomfort. Scared to let another REAL dentist touch the botched work HARRIS had done. Then the problem came when HARRIS billed me, and when I complained about the dent I had in the front of my mouth and the severe pain I was in. The billing dept receptionist Georgina gave me a highly obscene bill which also had a $500 forward amount that no one in the office could explain. I simply can not recommend this doctor. While my mouth was open he pricked my tongue with novocaine syringe. I waved my hands and I tried to say that I was in pain, but he didn't respond to me.
