The amazing: Their website. Its fantastic. It gives you a running total as you add or subtract services. And it shows you the available dates + times. Availability - they were able to come onsite next business day. Similar companies were two weeks out Onsite employees were informative, kind and work diligently. OK: The service. I kid you not, the air in my house seems cleaner when the heat is on. But I wish they showed me all the crap they pull from the ducts. Did they collect a hairball or a garbage dump worth of material? And I dont think the tile washing was worth it at all. I've cleaned the floor better myself without the tools the fellas brought. And my grout looks like it was hardly touched. Bad: Price - While their pricing was only slightly more than other companies I researched, this was not worth it. It was beyond petty that I was charged for a second room because of a small landing from my kitchen. Leftover mess - While they did a great job cleaning the ducts, they kicked a ton of dust into my newly finished basement. It feels like they cleaned one thing only to make a mess in another Unless you're in desperate need of duct cleaning or carpet cleaning, this isn't worth it. read more

What a great company! Not only did they email me the day before to remind me of my appointment, but they sent a tracker so I could see exactly when they will arrive. They arrived on time, smiles on and ready. After I explained my needs, I give a Special thanks to PJ and Timothy for suggesting a Tea Tree treatment- I absolute love what it does and man it smells fabulous in here as well! I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. They damaged a wall chunk missing out of the drywall, they damaged a table in multiple spots and they damaged an ornament that my father gave me that was on my dining room table. So that was Thursday, October 9 and they come back October 13 to look at the damage and decide they're gonna re-steam my bathroom floors. After doing so, one of the guys decided to walk through my entire house with muddy shoes leaving me to clean my floors, as well as a white carpet that he walked on that I just paid to have cleaned by them on Thursday. It's despicable. Mud and stones left throughout my house so if that's what you want I guess they are the people to hire otherwise I'd go elsewhere. Also just wanted to mention that their equipment and hoses are all dirty and will get your house all dirty as well. So if you're hiring to get anything cleaned in your house, it will be more dirty when they leave. By the way I pointed it out to them and they wiped the mud in my floors and with a microfiber towel not helpful. I'm truly blown away. I never even write reviews. read more

Brandon S and James were very professional, and notified me of the exact time they would be here, They saved me from hanging around all day. They respectfully put on shoe covers prior to entering our house and encouraged us to ask questions about the duct cleaning. I called on a Monday to make an appointment to get two recliners cleaned and was happy to be able to get them done the next day!! The receptionist Barbara is super friendly and helpful. Hired them to clean vents and ducts. They upcharged far beyond what they quoted on their website, approaching $1000. Explanation was that the website had added $1 for the additional hvac unit, and I should've known that was wrong. Got the guys to call their manager who reduced the price a bit. Found out months later they didn't bother to check the filter on our furnaces, which were incredibly dirty. Not worth it, super expensive. read more

Went online to get an estimate which stated I would be charged $167. By the time they left the bill was $630.!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a landlord and they went to a rental property and scammed my tenant. I got an estimate to not have this problem, but they saw fit to up-charge my tenant $500. Will never use them again. This was the first and last time I call them for my rental properties. Amazing! I got a call within the time frame they gave me, and the workers arrived ten minutes later. Desmond and Girard are the best! They pre-sprayed spots and vacuumed until the carpet was as clean as it could be. Not a new carpet, so it will never be perfect. I suspect another worker might have said, What's the use? But not these guys. They kept working at it. They also moved light furniture, cleaned underneath, and made sure it was put back in the right place. They wore shoe coverings the whole time, even though I wondered why they needed them before they cleaned. But they were meticulous. These guys are excellent. When I have my carpets cleaned again, I'm going to ask for them. They're a real credit to the business. read more

Today, four hours after the cleaners left, my carpet developed large bulges. I called the 1-800- number and was told to allow the carpet to dry a full 24 hours and it should lie flat. We'll see tomorrow if that's true. The carpet lies flat today! Looks good. Humidity was very high yesterday, possibly accounting for the bulges. I am pleased with their work. read more

UPDATE: Someone from corporate called me. He wanted to know what happened and apologized. He said he would call the local office to try and resolve the issue. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. FURTHER DISAPPOINTMENT! I have left messages with issues for the Cheektowaga office several times. No one had the courtesy to call me back. I had a tenant pay nearly $600 to clean and pet deodorize carpet at our property. Our new tenants moved in and complained of strong smells in the carpet 5 weeks later! They came out again and charged an additional $400 for work they supposedly did the first time. They also said there was no way to know they had been at our house 2 times and didn't realize it was the same property. Seems absurd. I'm very unhappy with the service and will not be using them again. read more

Called Stanley Steemer for an estimate to refinish our hardwood floor which is about 14x16. After getting estimates from other companies we decided to go with them. They arrived 7:30am and began to work. I was worried dust from sanding would get everywhere but they had a vacuum connected to the sander which sucked up dust as they sanded, no dust. They were very professional and did an excellent job. After they finished he explained how to maintain our floors and answered all my questions. I had a large blood stain in my living room area (unfortunately, my dog passed away suddenly and threw up a lot of blood before passing). My husband and I worked on the area for days, to no avail. I thought it was stained but called Stanley Steemer to see if they could do anything. Ian and Dave were the cleaners who came to the house and they were wonderful. They were optimistic and worked really hard on the area and the blood stain is gone! They were also helpful in advising how to care for the area after they were gone, in case the stain came back in the drying process. I was very impressed in the extra time and care they took for my appointment, and the cost was very reasonable. Stanley Steemer was contacted on my behalf by my homeowner's insurance after a cracked toilet flooded our entire home. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They came right out that first night and started trying to dry my floors out and get the water cleaned up. The following day they were back working on the basement which had flooded as a result of the water leaking through the floor above. They cleaned out everything that was wet, bagging up contents I needed to go through and loading up garbage. They helped us to remove wet furniture and boxes, they even transferred all of my picture frames from a cardboard box into a tote so that further damage did not occur. All of them had excellent communication with my fiancé and I. They let us know when they were coming and what they planned to be doing that day. When they left they would call us and let us know when to expect them back and what to plan on. They spent a total of 5 days at my house and we were left with all the answers we needed. They were all professional, responsible, kind and most importantly, they were sensitive to our situation. I would highly recommend these guys to everyone! read more

DO NOT HIRE these guys to sand your floors.There experience level is horrible and just rude.Call a real hardwood floor company and wait in line to get a professional job.Trust me!! Stanley Steemer will give you one price and try adding in extras after they start that was already agreed upon.that is my first problem.Now my horror story begins.they sanded my floors down and not well come to find out .They put a small color patch of stain on the floor for me to see.when I said ok to the color.(its close to the other floors they said they could get close to matching) .the man rudely said thats 280.00 more.I said that's the color we been working with from the beginning.He said are you saying your refusing to pay.I politely said no.I will pay what the contract says..Period.So he actually got in his van and left.Leaving us with bare floors for 2 more days...Yes after speaking to customer service they agreed that these installers where unprofessional and reset this back up.2 days later.they showed up on Weds and I looked from across the room.there were 2 foot prints near the island I said to the installers you might want to wipe those down.He freaked out and said he had to sand the whole floor.I said there's no marks leading up to them .Its clear you didn't get those in your initial sand.Everything was taped off.I looked and they walked out again and just left.Terrible,Terrible they left us once again with bare floors and with a major problem.I immediately contacted a hardwood floor company.thankfully they come out and said good thing they never put the stain on.there are large imperfections in the way it was sanded.Well I'm doing my BBB complaint as these guys are not even close to being ok in someone's home and then sent me a Bill for over 70%.Buyer beware read more

Workers did not cover their wet muddy filthy boots when they came into my home to clean my light beige carpet. They went back outside to get their equipment I did not realize until after they had started cleaning that they had not covered their boots when they came back into the house tracking mud and leaves all over my carpet. When I asked them why they did not cover their muddy boots he replied we're cleaning your carpet anyway I was shocked at his reply extremely unprofessional!! I asked for a 3:45 p.m. appointment. They arrived at 5:45 p.m. The man was very nice, personable and professional. I had 2 badly stained pieces of furniture cleaned that I tried to clean myself but really F'd up the furniture. The man didn't want to do the job because he felt he couldn't get the stains out. I insisted he clean the furniture anyway since he couldn't have made it worse. He did the job and the furniture was better. Not great, but definitely better. I admired his up-front honesty. Efficient, professional and on time. Josh has serviced my carpets twice and is always through and takes pride in his work. When he leaves he wipes up footprints, puts down paper warnings so no one falls from damp carpets to tile floors. If I had to find one complaint, it would be the sales pitch to upgrade the cleaning with odorizers, scotchguard etc. The upcharge is expansive. I wish they had a package for cleaning traffic areas only, as I have several rooms that could be sold as a one room if combined. Absolutely terrible experience to say I have never dealt with anything so problematic before. On September 11th 2017 I was on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo and I have to Stanley Steemer van that was at a red light if they do in West Seneca New York. He pointed to a cell phone to tell me that he was talking on it and when the light turned green he gave me the middle finger. So talking on a cell phone is already unsafe enough and breaking the law and giving me the middle finger was very disrespectful I only wanted to give them business. I then called the office and talk to a guy named Allen. I gave him two phone numbers on an address and I was told that the next day they would be to my home between 11 and 3. Soon it was 4 pm. I called and asked where they were and they said that they tried calling both phone numbers and came to my address and someone told them that no work was needed and that they have the wrong info. I come to find out that they had the wrong phone numbers that they entered incorrectly and the wrong address missed by a number. I took off of work so that they would come and I get penalized because they enter the wrong information all's I could told is "were sorry". Customer relations just told me that since it's a franchise there's nothing they can do. I feel like showing them in a court. Since I took off of work I missed out of a $150 payday. They ought to compensate me the money I took off and do my carpets complimentary. They do not offer any Fair resolution at all and even admit that they enter the information wrong. This is been the worst experience so far I've ever dealt with a company. I get flipped off and missed time from work. Still my carpets are dirty and they don't want to give me a fair resolution. While the carpet cleaning itself was very well done, I was highly disappointed and shocked by my final pricing. When I called for a quote and to schedule an appointment, the woman estimated my cleaning at around $300 (finished basement two stairways, a hallway and only the walkway area of two small bedrooms). When the carpet cleaners arrived, the guy kept telling me "I'll throw this in and I'll throw that in .... let's just round up and do the other two bedrooms as well, I'll give you a good price" etc. He ended up doing two extra walkway areas and a very small couch. Well, the whole experience ended up costing me $800 and I was absolutely shocked. I had no idea he was going to more than double my bill and I felt completely taken advantage of. The work had already been completed and I had no warning the charges would be so extreme. I find that type of customer service to be extremely shady and bad business.
