This is how they get out of standing behind their products and avoid paying out their losses in litigation. We have used their products many times and most were good. Now we have a problem and they say it is the old company. Such BS. Buyer beware. Some bad and dangerous products and they use every corporate loophole to avoid paying what they owe after they cheat or poison you. read more

Had a floor replaced in the spring 2022. The store staff was great, the quality of wood was great, however, the installers were inexperienced craftsmen. The job was poorly completed and my husband and I actually had to replace some molding and complete the job. Because I was a woman, they responded to the many questions I had with disdain. I actually am very familiar with the installation process and should not have let them continue as the workmanship was poor at best. Find you own experienced installers. read more

The staff at this store is fantastic. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and have helped me with 3 kitchen floors, a butcher block counter top and hardwood flooring that could withstand two crazy dogs (they recommended strand bamboo and over year later it still looks brand new). The quality matches much more expensive stores and the selection is very diverse. For a DIYer they can set you up with the tools and materials you need. Or they can recommend a good installer as well. They provide all of this at a fraction of the cost of many specialty stores. You owe it to yourself to check this store out before you buy somewhere else. Watch for their ads because they have plenty of sales to help you save even more. read more

I have pets. I have one room with a 1960's small plank hardwood floor that has been previously refinished. Now it just looks "distressed". Pretty much the way I feel when I look at this floor. I have been agonizing over what to do with it. Refinishing is not an option anymore. I'm not that much a fan of laminates, I have Pergo in another room and some of the planks need to be replaced due to overactive dog bladders. I had this floor installed in 1998 and I'm just not that crazy about it. A thread last week regarding vinyl flooring piqued my interest. A Yelper mentioned Lumber Liquidators and EVP, engineered vinyl plank flooring. Vinyl never would have been my first choice based mostly on my ignorance of it however after doing some research I determined that this indeed was what I needed. Took it a step further and checked out the website for LL and found exactly what I wanted in terms of color/shade variations. Seriously, it took me all of about 40 minutes to make a determination for a floor that will no doubt outlast me. LL was great to work with. They referred me to their sub-contracted installers who came out for a real measurement . For reasons I don't understand I kept coming up with four square feet. I figured that number was most probably not realistic so I upped it to 50 sf. My real number was 250 sf. So glad that no one listened to me. Apparently I am doing something wrong with online Square Footage calculators. Whatever. Made my purchase via the telephone. Picked up my product the next day and was thoroughly pleased to see that the actual plank matched the online sample. Very happy!!! New floor will be installed on the 20th of this month. One day total work involved and furniture can go right back on new floor. No wait time. I just want to point out that the brick and mortar store of LL at this address is not at all what I expected. It's very small. Generally two sales people on the floor and it seems to be busy all the time. All product samples are available for viewing, you can also request some to take home for better color/light clarification. Trust a Yelper. Recently we had the pleasure of working with Nick at the Walden Ave. location. I can not remember when I enjoyed working with a salesperson more if ever. Nick was pleasant and very helpful and answered every one of our questions, and there were many, with an attitude you don't find in many sales people. He made our experience feel like we were dealing with a friend, taking time with us and not making us feel like we were a bother. We had been to other hard wood suppliers and chose LL because of Nick. The staff at the Cheektowaga store is knowledgeable and helpful. John took care of my transaction and has an attitude to ensure a good customer experience ... no surprises. My project was to remove tile from a small foyer/powder room and replace with a LL laminate product that is used elsewhere in the house. I used LL for installation and the guys @ MVP Installers are equally as focused in providing a good customer experience. Matt did the installation and I couldn't be happier, being a small area Matt had a substantial amount of small cuts and he is an artist carpenter (if your are using LL for installation definitely see if you can get Matt. Very helpful staff and affordable hard floors. It's been something like 4 years since I've been here, but my experience was so good I've directed everyone here first when they're looking for Hardwood or any kind of hard floors. My husband and I ordered imitation wood laminate flooring with the padding pre-installed on the laminate pieces, and it installed like a dream. It took us two weeks of after-work and weekend hours, but we did it ourselves. We picked up the tool bucket they up sell (because we were saving a fair percentage from a mailer coupon offer) and we actually ended up needing and using every piece in there, so money well spent. Turned out we over-bought for the purpose, so we saved the leftover for almost 4 years (obviously taking pains to keep the leftover 10 boxes in a dry, safe place) and we just now used it up in our kitchen and it looks amazing! I should say, putting in wood laminate wouldn't have been our first choice, Lumber Liquidators has some great kitchen flooring options, but we already had it, and it actually looks really, really good.
