We should be allowed to give a very low rating. This company is not trustworthy. They not only do a poor job, but they also have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 43 years. They are condescending if you have a different opinion or a complaint. The word "lazy" does not even begin to describe them. They are extremely lazy on the job. They have no empathy or compassion. I explained my situation to two different supposed branch managers. A technician came to my home and spent less than 15 minutes. He dragged dirt onto my daughter's carpet and made it look worse than it was before. There was no follow-up with the customer. They did not follow up with the technician to see if he did a good job. Furthermore, both branch managers had the audacity to blame me for the situation, saying that if I had called them, they would have come back to fix the job. You would have to be incredibly foolish to think that I would allow you to return to my home to make a second attempt after failing the first time. *BE WARNED* This company lies about the kind of service they provide. They are a scam artist and does not like to return your money. You can buy a Bissell and do a better job. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Our 83 year old Mom just paid some nitwit from this place over $225.00 to clean her home carpet. My dogs could have done a better job. He left places that were stained that would have come up had he put what little muscle he had in it. Not only did he NOT clean the carpet but he left a big puddle of soapy water on the tile near the front door. My Mom could have slipped in that. DO NOT CALL these people who ALREADY HAVE BAD REVIEWS. I had 3 bedrooms cleaned LOL , did a very fast 1 hour job , still looked Dirty after they said the cleaned it 3 times I was charged $120 they were going to put a coating on the carpet like Scotch Guard . First off, the office person answering phones was very unpleasant. Then, the guys in the field decided that instead of parking their work van in the actual driveway, that they'll park in what is clearly the front yard and destroyed what we had just seeded. We are a new build, the yard is clearly sod and soft sand. And while my husband was out there trying to help dig them out and pull them out, they were standing around with hands in their pockets or sitting on the side of the road taking a nice little break. I went through a horrible incident and trusted these guys to come out and help me with mold on the carpets of my car. I didn't judge the job until it was dry 24 hours, but I blotted the carpets with a Scott towel the next day and it was completly brown. Charging me $225 dollars for 4 squares of carpet in my car which they spent 25 minutes on. The next day I completly felt taken advantage of so I called a different company who backed up my statement that Stanley Steemer took advantage of me and this other company did the work and more for half the price. After calling on the phone asking for my money back, the manager was shocked that her company could do wrong and wasn't willing to negotiate. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I used this service for minor water extraction on a carpet in a small bedroom and was charged $122. Assuming that certainly meant clean with the extraction. A stain appeared on the carpet two days later and I was informed when I called them back they did not clean the carpet they simply extracted the water and there was no responsibility to return any service. Seems to be an outrageous charge for minor water extraction on just part of this carpet. Needless to say I would not recommend nor will I be ever using their services again read more

Today someone came out to clean carpets. I was told $99 was the price for the number of rooms I had to clean. They showed up and measured and wrote on a tablet and they said it would be $379 ....it took over an hour to calculate "my price". Basically this is a rip off and I will tell all my friends to never do business with this company again. They took advantage of me --I am 82 years old and I don't appreciate these tactics. I should have first been clued into the quality of work I was getting when I was told the technicians would be at my house between noon and 6 PM. That was true, they showed up at 5:55 PM. I'm sure that's what led to a rushed job and poor quality of service. The technicians sprayed some Chemical on the floor which got over all of my furniture (see attached pictures). After the job was done the carpet looked pretty good. As it dried the five main stained areas I wanted clean came back. The technician came back a few days later to re-clean the areas after the service department called me to follow up. Same result the spots came back after they dried. The service department again called me and said the technicians back to re-clean the spots. The spots now look better but are still visible and no one has called to follow up on service. I was told this is all they can do after the technician left. I would not recommend this company to anyone in the area who is looking to have their carpets cleaned. Plus I had to clean all of my furniture since they can't control their chemical spray. ******UPDATE****** I was contacted by someone from the corporate office that said they would look into my review and issue with the local Stanley Steamer office and that someone would get back with me. Well, like I said it has been 3 weeks no one has contacted me. I guess SS and their corporate yard stands by their unsatisfactory work. I would not recommend this company to anyone in the Eglin / Hurlburt Field area that is moving or just wanting their carpets cleaned. They do not stand by their work! read more

My opinion is if you want your carpet cleaned by someone who might break your stuff without telling you and do a lousy job then hire Stanley Steemer of Gulf Breeze FL. That opinion is based on my experience with Stanley Steemer and seeing the work that they did...... When Stanley Steemer was at my neighbor's house to clean her carpet (it's a neighborhood of homes with minimal lots so the houses are VERY close together), someone came into my yard and used my water faucet without asking me. I hadn't turned that water faucet on in years because it had a problem. Before Stanley Steemer was there, the faucet was off and dry. After Stanley Steemer was there, the faucet was pouring water and couldn't be stopped. I wasn't told a word about it. I'd been hearing the sound of water flowing all day, but I didn't know it was from my faucet. I discovered the problem when I went outside at about 10:30 at night to find part of side yard flooded and water pouring from the faucet. I did finally manage to get the water slowed, but not stopped. The next morning I went over to my neighbor's to get the phone number of Stanley Steemer. She said she was going to have to call them anyway because she could see the stains coming back on her carpet (and I could see the stains too as they were clearly visible). She told me she had paid $200 to get her carpet cleaned. She was not happy because they were still stained. We called Stanley Steemer, and I gave them a very fair offer for the damage that had happened. I said they could pay for a plumber to fix the faucet and reimburse me for the additional water and sewage charges. Stanley Steemer utterly refused to accept any responsibility. Instead they seem to expect me to believe that somehow a faucet that had been off for years and dry as a bone for all those years suddenly turned on coincidentally the same day they were there and they had nothing to do with it even though they were the people who had been near that faucet. I don't believe it. Do you? In my opinion, I believe it's a lot more likely that what happened was that Stanley Steemer came into my yard, used my water, broke my faucet, failed to tell me because they didn't want to get into trouble and wouldn't admit it when confronted with the situation and, to top it off, did a lousy job cleaning my neighbor's carpet. I had an estimate to clean a couch. Once the man came he said on.. it will be an additional charge because your couch has cushions. Really- how rare it is for a couch to have cushions. Then even though the web site says to sign up for coupons - when I presented the coupon code I was told they don't accept coupons. The job was completed with absolutely horrible results. So I did a estimate online and it came up to about 400 dollars. I then set up a appointment to have someone give me the actual price and it was so much more. So ok I dropped some things to lower my price. The tech then asked when we would like to do it and we told them the next week. He wanted to do it at 600 pm that day. Uh no. So he said to ask for him. I called the office and was told I can not request him so I said if he cant do it then I don't want to get it done. So she took down my info and asked me if the tech told me about the 40.00 return fee. What $40.00 return fee. He came to give me a estimate. I then told them with the amount of money I am spending I am not about to pay a return fee. I called Stanley Steemer 9/21/17 to clean my stair steps, 16 total and hallway due to a workman bringing tar into home on his shoes. I was told over the phone there was no guarantee, but felt I needed to get grease out of carpet as soon as possible. The worker for S.S. seemed to be new and said he didn't think grease would come out of a berber carpet. He also seemed flustered that I wasn't told there would be an extra $20.00 charge for home with two stories. My complaint is that he didn't have the proper cleaning solutions to remove any of the spots. I called the office and asked for a discount, not refund, and was told there was no guarantee to their work, and no discount was due. I was charged $139.00 for terrible results.
