Our insurance had this company working with us. After 3 days we were finally able to give them a date and time. They never showed up. Did not answer any calls or messages but STILL invoiced us $0 to our insurance with a note customer was unavailable for signature. After $185 (no tip) I get to go around and clean everything they missed! I would like to add that Kirby from customer support reached out to me to have a technician come back and make it right. I had their tech Ramiro Becerra, show up to do our hardwood floor cleaning. He carefully examined my floors and took pictures to send back to the office. He said that the boards had some separation between them and the water could possibly infiltrate and damage my wood. We had Stanley Steemer, from the Brokaw Rd location in San Jose, clean our carpet. The worker did a nice job. During the cleaning, he damaged the closet door frame. He apologized and said he would file a report with his manager, and we would receive follow up. Since then, we have called twice and are told the same thing, "An incident report is on file." It's been two weeks and not a peep from Stanley Steemer about repairing the damage they caused. They're just giving us the runaround. This is extremely bad customer service. I had tile grout I needed cleaning in 2 showers so I gave Stanley Steamers in a try. I called the 800 number and they got me booked with one near me. Briseth was the employee that did the work on my tile grout. She was very professional and was extremely conscientious as to how she was doing and if I liked the work she did for me. Over all she did a good job. It took her 2.5 hours and I was charged $308 which included sealing both showers, tile and grout. Will definitely use Stanley Steemer again. read more

I call and they will not give a dryer duct cleaning estimate for my condo dryer vent over the phone. Other vendors do provide estimates. I had to pass. Instead offers to come out and do a free inspection/estimate. I am not interested in taking the time off to go see what they will charge. We had the pleasure of meeting Gonzalo, a hard-working, conscientious, respectful & polite employee of Stanley Steemer. We were alerted with his arrival time, which was within the given time frame and he completed the job in 90 minutes, as initially estimated. Gonzalo did an AMAZING job cleaning 4 carpeted rooms, a chair and a couch. Everything is significantly cleaner, especially the couch which was very dirty and now looks like new. After a floor damage that happened in 2020, Dale responsible for the franchise assured me (I used legal help) that the floor would be fixed. He sent one of the contractors: Ignacio who asked to remove a sample of the floor behind the fridge to see whether the width matched the manufacturer sample. I did not see the point, the manufacturer was the same, the reference# too and the floor was less than 5 years old, yet they said it was the only way to proceed with the repair. Well, they moved the fridge and removed the sample in March of 2023. In the process, the compressor was displaced, it cost me $500 to fix it and the issues persists so I will have to get a new one. Dale disappeared since then and now has a new business in Ohio. I have to replace the floor, fix what was removed for the sample and the refrigerator, they stop answering phone calls. I will sue these individuals and the franchise itself but please just do not trust this company, even at the highest level there is a lack of ethics in this organization. read more

I went online to set up an appointment for SS to come out and clean my carpets in my home. I have 3 bedrooms and 2 flight of stairs. One problem was that the website does not indicate that one flight of stairs is 12 steps. When the tech arrived (my appt time was between 1 pm to 4 pm) he told me I had 5 more steps per flight but he said he won't charge me the extra which was nice. I got a call that said my tech would arrive at 5 pm but I think they sent someone who was available to meet the 4 pm time. The tech had already done 4 homes and that was normally the limit. I appreciate him taking the time to do the extra home. The job itself was pretty good and the tech worked efficiently. Some spots had quite a bit of wear but he did his best. If I use SS again I would ask for Renk to be my tech. read more

Don't use this company! They left my house a swamp. It's super easy to set an appointment and my two rooms were done in about 20 minutes. The guy did not use booties, He did not use corner protectors from his huge tube that snaked through my house. He told me my carpets would be dry in 17 hours. That Wednesday 3 fans plus the ceiling fans running in both rooms 24hrs a day. It's Monday and I still have damp spots. This is awful! read more

We've had Stanley Steamer clean our carpets twice a year for several years now. Prior to today we last used them in June. We scheduled our appt for today because we spilled a cup of tea in our living room. The carpet was cleaned and the tea spot appeared to have been removed. However as the carpet dried it was apparent that the spot was still there. We called and were told that we could pay full price to have the carpet cleaned again. On top of this we have been paying extra at each cleaning for their carpet protector spray. Since the carpet protector does not work and Stanley Steamer does not stand behind their work we will not be using their service again. read more

We requested they come by for a quote to clean our ducts. They showed up without masks. Without warning they attempted to walk into the home to give an estimate. I asked them at least to remove their shoes. Her response was, "Sorry, frankly I don't think you want us to remove our shoes." When asked if they had shoe covers, they said they didn't. In today's day, showing up at someone's home without a mask to perform service is probably not a good idea. And for a carpet cleaning service to not even have shoe covers is completely ridiculous. Richard was amazing! He was amicable, efficient, and knowledgeable. Our landlord thought that they didn't extract enough water, but he (the landlord) came into the residence an hour after Richard was done with the carpets. The landlord had complained of the damp carpets and of a "bad smell." Of course, right after the services, the carpets are still damp. The next day, Brandon and I were at the residence, and the carpets were clean, dry, and it didn't smell at all! Even though the carpets were already impeccable, Brandon complied to the request from our landlord to do a "do-over," without hesitation and with the same level of friendliness as Richard. The people who arrive are on time, and what I love is I get a call letting me know that the crew is coming. (this gives me time to get the cats locked up). I love being able to set up an appointment on the web, as it sets my expectations for the cost. I'm offered upsells gently but never pressured. They make it seem like "Oh, you might be interested in..." which I like. Our carpets are pretty old, and they always look wonderful when they do the final raking. I tried getting tile/grout cleaned on my half bathroom floor this time, and wow. It looks like it did when we put it in back in '96. I'm in the 2nd floor condo that isn't always accessible for carpet cleaners as they need an outside spigot to latch onto with their big trucks. These guys were able to go from the outside from their truck through my patio door and that worked just great. They said that they can use a machine that they bring in but you get a deeper cleaning if you are let able to have them hook up there a hose from their truck. They were very courteous and they really did their best I could tell. Plus they put some of my furniture up on styrofoam to let it dry. The price was very reasonable and affordable for me. My condo was only a one bedroom and this works out. I will definitely use them again so I can keep this place looking nice. read more
