My A/C went out today, so I opened a Yelp project to solicit for service. Sal, the owner of CostLess, immediately contacted me. I booked a service call online at 7pm last night and Sal called me at 9am this morning (very impressed at the quick response). He asked me what the issue was with my A/C and described in detail over the phone what could be happening. He was able to come to my house within one hour of talking on the phone. After looking at my A/C system, he was able to fix the problem with only a few parts. The big problem for was the refrigerant in my air conditioner is discontinued, so fixing my system is sometimes more expensive. Our technician, Abraham, came out to the property to inspect our AC unit. Originally, the AC unit was making low humming sound, but Abraham was able to confirm through full diagnostics of the electrical connections, refrigerant, and fans that all are working fine. He slightly adjusted the AC cover and helped to reduce the humming voice. I especially appreciate this interaction because he was very honest, direct, and truthful. I had a big name company come check out our AC because it wasn't working. They quoted me over 20k to have it replaced and said it's dead and won't work I called CostLess to get a quote for how much it would be to replace it The number routed me to Sal Sr and I couldn't have been more thankful that it did He gave me a quote (which was wayy cheaper) but also was curious why I wanted it replaced instead of repaired. My AC quit blowing cold air suddenly. I called that night, made an appointment and the next day Sal showed up. Our AC unit broke on Labor Day. OFC on a holiday!! I went on Yelp's project section & requested HVAC System repair through Yelp's AI feature (for the first time) & Costless Heating & Cooling was the first hit. I messaged Sal the very next morning at 7:45 AM & he was able to help me the same day. WOWOWOWOW!!! He came around 2:30PM & diagnosed our problem for the free. Our capacitor needed to be replaced & refrigerant recharged. We were waiting for my landlord to approve the work to move on. No luck. So Sal went to his next client as we waited to hear back from my landlord. He messaged me around 4PM informing me that my landlord gave the thumbs up to move forward with the repair. During this recent heatwave my AC unit stopped working. I found them through yelp and google reviews and Regina was able to squeeze me 2 days later even though they were super busy. Sal the owner came in diagnosed it within 10 minutes. The problem was the refrigerant was empty. Within 30 minutes he fixed the issue. He had the parts on stock and added a hard start kit which helps prolong my AC unit. Pricing was good and there was no overcharging. I had the costless heating and cooling come to fix the air conditioning at my house. The work was done in a timely fashion, The Capistor and single pole contractor had to replaced. That did not fix the problem and the refrigerant loss pressure sensor also had to be replaced while keeping the original coolant. The last item (sensor) part plus labor price was excessive around 1300 (as per analysis on the web for my location that i did after paying for it). So costless may not be true to Its name. read more
