Got the premium package which was slightly better pricing. Easy to schedule and good communication. Had to change my appointment due to emergency which was fine. Showed up about 20 min late after the assigned window, but would have been nice to update me earlier. Seems like they did a good job, took around 1-1.5 hrs, however left a lot of dust and debris after on my kitchen counter and on the bed in the bedroom after they left. We needed to have our dryer vent cleaned since we never had this cleaned since we moved in. We were long overdue. Their website is pretty informative and easy to navigate. We ended up booking the service online and that was simple to do. I later had to reschedule since I had a change in availability, so I reached out via phone. They answered my call and the woman who assisted me was very friendly and accommodating at finding us an appointment the next day. Upon service day, we received a text from Eric and Allan with an update on their estimated arrival time. They showed up just on time as stated in their text and came ready to work. My husband showed them the area and they took it from there. They took less than 30 minutes to get the job done and cleaned the area well. We were able to pay via credit card and the invoice was sent within the hour for timely payment. We even received a discount for booking on a weekend. Extra points for that pleasant surprise. We highly recommend Duct Pros. We had an incident where a feather pillow exploded in our dryer and we thought it would be a good idea to have the vents cleaned, just in case feathers had gotten into the vents. We found Duct Pros via Yelp. They were quickly responsive to a quote request and they had reasonable prices. They also were available to come out quickly. When we needed to change the time after booking, they were able to accommodate us with no issues. They arrived on time and were efficient with their work. All of this was great and would have earned a good review, but what really put things over the edges is that once the vent was cleaned (yes, there were a lot of feathers), they recommended that we consider having an appliance specialist come out to make sure there weren't feathers in the electrical panel or mechanical areas. They did not try to push themselves or a particular vendor on us - they just said we should really consider it to prevent fire risk. It felt like a genuine recommendation without an agenda. So that's what we did. A few days later, we had an appliance specialist from a different company come and take our dryer apart and sure enough, there were a TON of feathers in the electrical and mechanical areas, which was a huge fire hazard. Yesterday I asked for Dryer Vent cleaning. They were pretty transparent on prices (it depends on whether you have side by side vs stacked). After getting a quote, I asked for an appointment and Duct Pros had one available the next day! Two people arrived the next day within the promised timeline, we're super professional and pointed out a concern. The hose connector was damaged because it's been scrunched up for so long. I needed the dryer vent duct, which runs about 30 feet from the dryer to the outside, cleaned out as I suspected lint had built up to the point that it inhibited the dryer from functioning efficiently (and potentially creating a fire hazard). Based on other Yelp reviews and their service area, I contacted Duct Pros. Duct Pros was very responsive, responding to my Yelp message within minutes on a Sunday afternoon. An appointment was scheduled for Tuesday. Jason was the service tech who assigned and arrived at the house early, which was great for my schedule. He cleared out the dryer vent duct within 40 minutes. As he wrapped up the project, he showed me the lint that was extracted from the duct and also confirmed that the dryer was venting properly again. Alex & Mark were great. They worked efficiently - cleaned 10 vents, 5 exhaust fans, and the dryer vent in about 1.5hrs. Alex was also patient in answering all my questions to better understand the process and related details. My dryer vent (foil tube that connects dryer to wall vent) was unexpectedly disconnected and I had no idea when/how that happened as it was hidden in the back. Luckily, Mark was able to help me connect it back and Alex told me they made it more secure by adding a clamp to it before taping it back which should avoid it being blown out again over time. I really appreciate their longer term consideration. They also vacuumed all the dust built up behind my dryer, on the ground, and even the lint catcher inside my dryer too! Our dryer vent had almost no air flow (we hadn't cleaned it in 10 years) and therefore prolonging the drying cycle. Now it works well! We didn't know the air return needed to be accessible and there was a book shelf partially in front of it. Looking for dryer vent cleaning? Let me save you some time and money. Go with Duct Pros! I went with the appliance cleaning package, which includes dryer vent cleaning. The pricing was fair and competitive. But more important than pricing to me is the quality. Duct Pros sent out the technician named Jason. He was very friendly and pleasant to work with. He completely clean the dryer vent and all the associated duct work. He also completely cleaned out the dryer appliance as well. In order to vent properly, given the length and angles of the duct work, I have a booster fan that helps moves the lint and dust outside. However, there was one big problem. The booster fan recently developed loud and unusual sounds. I was ready to replace my booster fan. However, Jason patiently detached the booster fan from the duct work. Jason helped cleaned it out and reattached the booster fan to keep it more secured with an additional screw. And guess what? The booster fan is now so quiet that I can't hear it, when the dryer is on, unless I really pay attention. In order to do all the above, Jason spent a few hours cleaning and solving the booster fan issue. From now on, when I call Duct Pros, I am going to ask for Jason. I am sure all other other technicians at Duct Pros are excellent as well. If Jason is too busy, I will be okay with another technician. However, Jason is my first choice. :) read more
