Charged $100 more than the online quote. The technicians are trained to give you a speech about square footage before telling you it will cost more. It's the classic bait and switch technique.. Just be honest up front Stanley!! read more

They send some really Nasty Techs out to clean and then blame the customers. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Let me first say the quality of work was five stars. However, I was very disappointed that when the technicians arrived they immediately raised the price by 50% due to SF of the area being cleaned. When placing the order, they had strict limits on the carpet but had no mention of SF for the tiled areas. (Eat-in kitchen and 3 bathrooms). I was charged additional for an entry way and dining room. The words bait and switch come to mind. It could have been an innocent misunderstanding that could easily have been mitigated if SF was specified or photos were requested. Overall I am pleased with the results but can't recommend. read more

I would say this is more of a negative stars. I called Stanley Steemer to come in and to stripe my eat in kitchen, entry way and laundry room. They quoted us at $350. When they got here they said we asked for something totally different than what we filled out online. Then they tell us that our 13 tiles of gally kitchen and the eat in part were counting as separate rooms. That our entry way about 12 tiles would count as a different room and our laundry the only one separated by a door and 12 tiles was a separate room and that it was going to be $225 each "as they call - rooms" (13 in the "kitchen" 12 tiles entry way, 12 tiles laundry, eat in part all counts as 4 separate rooms! It's all open with no thresholds except the 12 tiles separated by a door to the laundry room. They changed our quote on scene after moved everything out for them to do the work.. that they were going to charge us triple the original quote. They had offered to do a test spot with their normal cleaning to see if they would even have to strip it... but while on the phone with their "representative" I was trying to say for them to go ahead and do a test to even see if it needed stripping but she was so rude and eager to get off the phone that she talked over me and hung up. Thank you Stanley Steemer lol.. For NOTHING. I would imagine that if I was to call them about their duct cleaning ( which was next on our list) they would have probably done the same.. start at $600 but when they get here say it's going to cost 2,400. They're going to screw you. Guaranteed. I tried them three years ago and swore them off but was stupid enough to try them again today. Never again. They'll find some step or small corner of your house to count as an extra room and hit you up for more money on top of trying to upsell you on other stuff. We booked online but made sure to also call them on the phone to avoid any misunderstandings. Didn't matter. Same sheisters as always once they show up. Buy some Shout or OxiClean for any stains, rent a carpet cleaner from Home Depot and spare yourself the scammer experience. read more

Techs were courteous. Cleaned carpets of three rooms and closets in about an hour. These rugs were filthy and they got out all or the stains, the carpets look brand-new. $159, should have done it a long time ago. read more

I got a estimate of $800 to clean and color seal my grout. When they arrived he told me that the price had gone up to $2153 ! I have used them for years and have had no problems so I just trusted them for the moment. I got on the phone and called 2 other places and the were right around the same price $800 as the original quote. I went out and told them to stop work and they said they couldn't because they already started. When they were done I couldn't tell any difference and refused to pay. When they threatened to call the police on me I decided to avoid confrontation and take it up with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Do not trust this company! Choose a local business or rent the carpet cleaning equipment yourself. We were left in cold after paying $450.00 for a fan rental for 3 days and now have to get another contractor involved to finish the job. I was sold an additional service with an additional cost, per room, and was re assured that this "enzyme spray" would eliminate all odors from our carpet due to the hot water extraction process they use. Well needless to say we had some very foul odors in house home that we did not have before they cleaned our carpets. I called customer service and she told me something entirely different, that the spray does NOT eliminate all odors. She would not refund me the extra money they charged me for something that made it worse! She wanted to send someone out to do it again, but told me it probably would not get rid of all the oders. We called a different company to come in and re-do the entire house and now it smells much fresher, like new again. NO more Stanley Steamer for this household! read more

We were hit by hurricane Irma. I had water in my modest size living room (11X13). I spent all day sucking most of the water out but called at the end of the day to see if they could come out and use the machine to get it better. I asked the lady on the phone for the worst case scenario for a price and she said it would probably be around $500. I had asked her for a worst case scenario because THERE IS A $150 TRIP CHARGE THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY EVEN IF THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING and I could not afford to waste my money. That is a lot of money to dry a small room but I did not want to have my carpet get mold or mildew. The guys came and gave me a quote of $910. I did not have that much money so I paid the $150 and they left. I am going to try to get my $150 back. Called this morning and asked to speak to a supervisor and so far. No response. Will update this post if anything further happens. read more

Every crew has introduced themselves prior to beginning work, checked the area for stains, and verified whether or not any furniture is to be moved.
