No need to search any further - this is who you want to do the work that you need to have done. I had to empty four floors of a friend's house that contained 70 years of accumulated possessions which were packed floor to ceiling. I tried doing the work myself and found that despite my best efforts, I was getting nowhere fast and I found that I was becoming more and more discouraged at how little progress I was making despite working hour after hour and day after day. I tried the junk removal service that usually comes up as the first or second result when you do a search and I hired them based on their 60+ positive reviews. What a mistake that was! Their workers only worked when you actually were there to watch them (they slowed down considerably when you weren't there), the owner was a complete jackass with a sour disposition, and they overcharged me for two under-loaded trucks. And then... I came across Stan in complete desperation and he came through in the most amazing way imaginable. He and his partner out-worked all six of the workers his competitor sent and he packed more junk in one truck than his competitor did in three trucks. Before this, I could count on 3 fingers how many times I have EVER given a perfect rating for any service or product. Stan is the fourth. (I figure everybody needs to improve, right?) What is there to say that hasn't been said in other reviews? He shows up when he says and is prepared. Looks at the job and gives you the estimate. (A very fair estimate at that.) He tells you what the plan is if you care to hear it. He and his helper get to work. Simple as that. I had a couple of things to do while he was emptying the place and when I turned around, he was half done! You don't get the fake "yes, sir...no, sir" customer service crap you hear every where else, either. He's respectful and genuine. In addition, if your situation is stressful--which was the case with me--he's got a bunch of stories from past experience that make you realize it's not all that bad. If you can wait for Stan, do it. My grandfather passed away suddenly and we had to clean out the house he lived in for 50+ years. We live in California, so time was of the essence. My father and I were having problems finding donation pick up services for large items, and had no idea what we would do with all the junk left in the house and garage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Stan and Abel, his assistant, were timely, friendly, courteous, professional and efficient. They went above and beyond the call of duty. I called him to come clean up behind my no good contractor, Wayne Grillier, (If you see this guy look the other way, total jerk!!!), who left construction debris in my attic, basement and garage. Nevertheless, Stan made it all better! He not only picked up and hauled away all the stuff, but even made sure it was left in "broom-swept" condition. And the price......well, let's just say I could give this guy a big smooch, (I didn't my husband wouldn't have appreciated it :-) ). His price was so reasonable, I almost felt like I stole something. When you see 5 stars on YELP for every review, you think something is "fishy" or the company is exceptionally great. In the case of Stan's Clean-Out it is the latter: Stan and his crew are really great. We used Stan recently to clean out our basement - an unintended depository of 30 years of junk, as well as our garage. I thought this would be an all day affair, but it took Stan and his one assistants about three hours. They cleaned everything out and then swept up the place for a remarkable transformation. His price for this was more than reasonable. Hauling away junk would on paper appear to be a simple task. But when you really think about what can accumulate over the decades, it's really much more problematic than it sounds. Stan however, made everything nice and problem free. I highly recommend Stan's Hauling. They did an outstanding job in cleaning out kitchen, entertainment ware & junk items from a small estate house and a garage party room. The garage had 50 years accumulated party appliances, furniture, games, dishes, extra clothes etc. Stan & helper Henry gave a very personalized service. He also estimated a fair price based on truck loads which was accurate. They showed up on time worked efficiently and checked with me when they found questionable personal items like my aunt's funeral obituaries. They also found a current collection of winter coats stored in the garage.They completed all of this in one day. I will use them for future jobs and would give more stars if I could. We wish we could give Stan's Clean Out more than just five stars! Stan and his helper, Ramone, did a fantastic job for us. We needed to quickly and completely empty an inherited home. This included hauling furniture and bags up and down stairs from the second floor and stairs down to the basement. Stan took heavy furniture, including a piano. They cleaned everything out of a garage. Stan even removed old carpet, pulled out all the staples and tack strips, then swept everything up. This was such a big job, and we were at our wits end, worrying who we would find to help us. Stan came through for us, on a short time frame. We have a large studio workspace that had been accumulating junk for a decade. Stan arrived on time, assessed our situation, and provided a very reasonable quote. Within an hour, he and Ramon filled their truck to the brim and we were left with SO MUCH SPACE. It was wonderful! Such a weight lifted off our shoulders, both figuratively and literally. Like many of you I searched and saw the big guys with their fancy names, but when I thought about what type of business I wanted for a particular job, I found the one with the owner actually doing the labor. Stan and crew were GREAT! He answered every phone call, came to give me an estimate quickly and was able to schedule an appointment within two days. My parents are downsizing and after 65 years of accumulation there was a LOT of stuff we had to get rid of. I can't imagine how this man could improve on his service. In the passed three months I have sold three houses and moved myself and my mother . WOW! A five-star rating doesn't do justice for Stan and his helper Abel---they are amazing! I am moving out of a house I lived in for over 30 years. Stan is very personable and is always on time. We had a clean up of my mom's attic with over 40 years of stuff/junk in the attic. Windows, doors, air conditioners as well as many other items. Stan and his crew had to haul out stuff from the 3rd floor of our building, 3 flights of stairs! He even swept up after they cleaned out the attic.
