    Absolute worst experience ever! 2 guys showed up and ONE of the two were so rude all he worried about was getting to his next delivery! Left my 125 pound new couch in my lobby of my building and said here you go! I asked him, I would please like to inspect it , he said OH we have NO time for that? WHAT?? He also said my office has already called and we need to move on to our next delivery? Umm okay so your not going to attempt to get my NEW couch up to my unit? His response! Um No we need to leave now we have other deliveries! I've never experienced such unprofessionalism in my 69 years of life! Rude Rude and Rude! Don't waste your money or time by using this unprofessional company! I will post this companies name on every single website I can to let the public know about this company that they don't know what customer service is at all!!!

    Boerman Moving Company was the very best one could ever have moving furniture out of state. This past January they moved our furniture from Illinois to Arizona and today the moved the rest of our furniture from Illinois to New Jersey. They are extremely efficient--a well oiled machine. I will recommend them to all the people in my circle of influence. I worked mostly with Trevor and Tanisha! What a privilege as both were very professional, honest, and sincere! If I could I would rate them higher than a 10!

My 1st visit was really good as Maria showed me around and explained how the units worked. Upon hearing that I would need my storage unit for a couple more weeks Maria extended my reservation to keep my rate and that really helped. On move in day I was given a phone call the day before, to check to make sure what time I was going to arrive. I was able to reschedule my time when I realised that the time slot didn't work any longer. The office staff were very flexible with helping me out. I was able to complete the whole moving process in less than 30 minutes. Overall I am happy with my unit I end up getting a 10 by 7 and a 1/2. I do like the ease of unloading my S UV into their docking station. I appreciate the climate control as it can get really hot during the summer and I was worried about my electronics. This was the true reason I picked this location even though about $50 more per month than the location about 2 miles away. All in all super excited about the fringe benefits of this location, To include utilization of a moving truck. The nice thing is that they allow you to use the moving truck up to 2 weeks from your moving date. This alone is going to save me a $150.

I didn't visit other facilities, I only did research online, but from the exterior Safeguard looks a lot more clean and safe. On the inside, Safeguard is spotless and secure. The access hours are flexible enough, as I don't need access after 10:00 p.m. anyway, and I like the security features. You get one key fob to access the elevators (or building after hours), and then your key is separate to your storage unit. I wish the unit had been less expensive ($198/month for a 10x15), but the unit we rented had a promotion which included the first three months for half off. We expected to rent for approximately six months, so it really made the price comparable to $150/month. I was able to reserve the unit 7 days ahead of time. Cyanara worked with me to make sure I didn't miss the promotion and followed up with e-mails and phone calls - but she didn't overdo it. She was also very helpful when I arrived to rent the unit. I would strongly recommend this facility.

    1 Star -- Loyalty Apparently Comes With a Penalty…read more I am absolutely disgusted by the way Safeguard Self Storage treats long-term customers. I started renting my unit in September 2020 for $110 per month. Nearly six years later, after NEVER missing or being late on a payment, I received a letter casually informing me that my monthly charge is increasing to $657. Let that sink in. $657 a month for the SAME unit, on the SAME floor, with ZERO improvements, ZERO upgrades, and absolutely nothing different to justify this outrageous increase. Then comes the real slap in the face. This letter talks about how rent increases are only made "when absolutely necessary" and after "serious consideration" of customers facing economic hardship. Yet when I went online to price the EXACT SAME UNIT, I was quoted an introductory rate of $150 and a standard rate of only $319 after the promotion. So new customers pay $319... while loyal customers with perfect payment history are expected to pay $657? That's a $388 difference for literally the same space. This isn't "customer appreciation." It isn't "serious consideration." It feels like exploiting loyal renters because you assume moving out is too inconvenient. And the cherry on top? The letter warns about late fees and thanks me for my "continued patronage" -- as if I should feel grateful for being charged more than DOUBLE the advertised standard rate after years of on-time payments. Businesses love to talk about loyalty until it affects their profits. If you rent here, watch your rates closely. Apparently staying loyal just makes you a target for endless increases.

From April to May, the main security gate remained open and broken. Repeatedly driving by and seeing the gate open for anyone to access became increasingly frustrating. I understand we're paying for storage but the purpose of a secured facility is completely undermined if the gate is not maintained or repaired in a timely manner. What finalized my decision to move out of my unit was the extreme disappointment I felt from the lack of urgency in addressing the issue. After doing a bit of research, I can assume why there was no rush. Based on the company policies/terms it seems the condition of the gate does not create a significant liability for CubeSmart. Therefore, if an event does occur, the customers lose, not the company. From this experience, I discovered this company does not prioritize customer concerns when serious issues arise. After moving out due to the circumstances mentioned, I overpaid for three weeks and requested a $75 refund. They denied without hesitation. The only compensation offered during this whole month-long debacle was a $10 credit that could not be applied to my final payment. I called to discuss this and never received a return call. I lost even more money moving units to StorageMart, but I would do it again to avoid this Cubesmart and all others. They clearly do not believe in making an unfortunate situation better for their customers. Fun fact: According to public figures, Cubesmart made $333.8 million dollars in profit last year. They can surely afford to refund their customers when wrongdoing has occured.

Marie called and was able to reschedule for later in the afternoon. When I arrived, she was busy cleaning the leaves from the driveway and in front of the garage. She was patient with all of my questions and showed me how to use the gate and the app. She even walked me over to the unit so that I will be familiar during move-in day. She is super accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this location!

New City Moving used to be my favorite out of them all in Chicago, but since they were bought out by New Sons, everything is going down the tubes. My recent move job went as follows. Movers showed up 25 minutes late on move day, had the audacity to ask for a tip, over-rode my instruction as to arrival time at the new location and approached the front desk to start unloading before my arrival, after I told them we had the elevator booked at a certain time. Apparently they had a full move after mine, which is something the "old " New City never did, so they were in a rush. I was willing to let all that slide until the next day I noticed that they drilled too far in to my clients dining table while assembling it and cracked the top of it in four areas. Funny how the lead Juan made sure to point out any items while packing that were previously damaged, or scratches on the floor of the new unit when we entered, but neglected to inform me that he busted my clients table right before he left for his next job. oh and for the record, I had tips for each team member on both pack and move day. point is, no one in service should ask for a tip. it's tacky. This company had turned in to a disappointment.,
