I just wonder if anyone ever walks in for the two for one plus the eye exam for 179.00 and walks out for 179.00 ? By the time they kept charging me for everything my 179.00 glasses cost me 800.00 . I guess they kinda have you. If you decide not to get the 179.00 glasses (800.00 glasses) then they charge you for the eye exam. I kinda figured with my couple of add ons it would be about 500.00.I was shocked we I was told 800.00. I tried to get some information on pricing but was they couldn't do any pricing until the the eye exam was completed. Despite showing her a valid offer from your website, she repeatedly refused to honor it and provided inconsistent pricing for the same items. Where to begin, store layout- men's/women's/sport/children's. Give us a hint! Eye exam done remotely by someone whose first language wasn't English, couldn't understand. Store manager with his used car sales tactics to after sell and build commission. Then hands over total cost (well over $1,300) with NO explanation of various add-on's cost. Then without asking adds $116 in warranty cost. When I got home I noticed errors on receipt, I have spoken to 3 "customer service rep's Who all admitted their was a mistake and I would be contacted within 2 days to begin the refund process (they also didn't have English as a first language, very hard to understand) As you can guess never got a call back. We went to Stanton Optical in Augusta for the advertised $79 exam, two pairs of glasses, and "30-minute glasses." Our experience was nothing like what they advertise. There were three of us getting exams. Before the exams I explained that one person is legally blind in one eye and asked if the $79 deal would still apply and if glasses could be done the same day. We were told yes. All three went into exam rooms at the same time, and we later found out the doctor wasn't even in the building -- the exam was done over Zoom. After the exams they sat everyone at different tables across the store and had me running back and forth between them even though I was paying for everyone. The girl who is legally blind picked frames, but when we went to the cash register the price suddenly jumped to around $140 because they said her lenses cost more. That was never explained before the exam. After paying we were then told the glasses would take two weeks, even though we had been told they would be ready in about an hour. Another pair of glasses we were told would be ready that same day ended up taking 13 days. We were also told Georgia Medicaid would cover one exam, which we later learned was not true. To make matters worse, we had one person's vision checked by her regular doctor a week later, and he said her vision was fine and she didn't even need glasses. Between the misleading "30-minute glasses" advertising, pricing changes at the register, and incorrect information about insurance, the whole experience felt extremely misleading. We ended up going to Eyemart Express instead and will not return. read more

They make you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door, but don't hover as you enjoy walking around and looking at all the beautiful frames. This place is a joke. They don't mention they have independent doctors when you go there. It's mentioned briefly on their website, but it does not elaborate what independent doctors are. There are many people that do not know what this means. They seem to only want to sell you glasses or contacts. The eye exams are jokes because since the exam is through a TV doctor, they don't give you a thorough exam. You do not have the option to speak to the doctor if you have any concerns. I'm giving 5 stars first of all because of the staff! I can't remember the young woman's name who did the beginning of my eye exam but she was so wonderful, helpful and sweet! Once I had my exam, Marcos was absolutely wonderful and really made the entire experience fantastic. I was able to find glasses (and sunglasses) that I really liked. Marcos answered every question and was so knowledgeable, it was such a pleasure to work with him! The eye exam was very different, not bad just different. The online doctor was very nice (I struggled a bit to understand everything she said) and system was really very good. The location I went to was in Williams center, the place was very clean and a great atmosphere.
