The Optometrist is not present. They didn't even appear live on the screen. So having a remote doctor exam test results from and office assistant was a problem for me. Some tests had to be repeated. And they totally missed my cataracts in both eyes! The frames were great but the lenses that they put in the frames were thick like the bottom of a cola bottle and very heavy and uncomfortable on my face. The prescription was way off. Stanton is just a money grab not a medical professional service at all. So they just wasted of $400 of my insurance money. read more

The advertised promotion was for 2 pairs of glasses and a free eye exam for $79. After services were rendered, I paid $203. I do not have any special requirements for my lenses and it was not clarified fully when I asked about the price difference. I was also not made aware this would be similar to a telehealth visit as the doctor would not be physically present in the exam room with me. When conducting the screening portion of the visit I was told there was an obstruction in my eye that may require additional treatment. This was also told to 2 other people who were examined right after me as I waited to be seen/viewed by the doctor. After a week I brought the glasses back because there was an issue and I was told to physically see an optometrist and if there was a difference in the results my glasses could be remade at no additional cost to me. I went to another provider, paid more money and was told there was no obstruction in my eye along with the prescription I was given being totally wrong for my vision. When I took the updated prescription to Stanton optical I was asked to pay $400 to correct the lenses which I refused. The representative spoke with a manager explaining what had happened and she agreed to waive the additional cost this one time. Overall, this was a bad experience that I will and have gladly shared with others not to ever go to Stanton optical for any vision care services. read more

Have a real eye dr. not a tv screen dr. They got my RX wrong, I had already chosen frames. When the glasses came in, they were horribly wrong. I had to get a 2nd Dr from Tomball to get my prescription correct. After almost 2 months, I'm still waiting... Also, the health of your eyes are not part of exam. read more

I scheduled an appointment, when I arrived 10 minutes early I was told I didn't have an appointment I showed the confirmation email and was told to just have a seat. I waited almost 30 minutes past the time of my appointment before they even did any prescreening and then waited an additional 30 minutes before I was seen by a virtual doctor. It's just completely unacceptable. I never saw anyone wipe or clean any machines including the one in the eye exam room was , and there was no indication that it had been recently cleaned. Staff was short with me when I was asking how long it was going to take. There was no empathy or remorse for the fact that they were an hour past scheduled appointment times and the only answer I could get was well we're busy on Saturdays, which is exactly why I scheduled an appointment. It should not be an hour beyond my appointment time before I'm even seen and then to receive my prescription I was sent to the side of the store to purchase glasses and when I said I wasn't buying any the lady had an attitude as well. You took an hour beyond my appointment time. I told them multiple times that I had an appointment elsewhere at 11 that I could not miss. Definitely will not be returning to this location in the future. Unacceptable. read more

I was told during me exam that the remote DR might not sign off on contacts because my eye was red. I agreed to continue and the DR referred me to have the redness in my eye checked out. I assumed that after I was checked out with the referral physician, I could get my contact prescription provided the referring dr signed off. I was not told until the time of payment that was not the case. I would have to come back in and pay for a new exam in order to get a prescription. I'm sure there are many defenses the business would have for this, but they also tacked on a $40 contact lens fitting fee, though they did not prescribe me contact lenses and no such fitting occurred. The manager on duty said it was company policy but I could call and speak to the main manager, Caesar, the next day. When I did call, the person who had assisted me, Misty, hung up on me when I asked to speak to him. I didn't know if Cesar actual exists but he cautious. This is another "optometrist" that is really just a big business trying to scam people. read more

Ordered 3/16/2026. Received the first order 3/31/2026. The bifocal was so high up that it interfered with distance. Re-ordered and did not come in until mid April. Wrong again, same as first order. Another tech told me there was an 'executive' bifocal that the original tech did not even know about. Don't need a high dot for a bifocal. Went in before glasses came in because of the 30-day refund limits. Requested refund and was given another 'receipt' NOT a 'refund', yet representative said that showed a refund. I did not argue...no point. Contacted my CC holder and was given credit, then a few days later glasses came in and were wrong again. They attempted to assure me, what a joke. Then, tech admitted he measured twice incorrectly. Another tech did the measurements, however he was also incorrect or made incorrect as the line did not go all the way across bottom of lens and was still too high up interfering with distance. I final received a true refund at that point and time. I did then order only distance lens just because I needed for license renewal. Finally was able to pick those up 5/2/2026. So the whole process was not handled correctly and NOT in a timely manner. Hard lesson to learn. read more

Worst eyeglass shopping experience ever. None of the exam equipment was cleaned before my use. The doctor is not there they are on a screen performing the exam. The prescription was off and they had to remake my progressive lenses twice. Picked them up again today and my left lense is still not right, was told to take them home and try to get use to them. In 20 years of wearing glasses I have never had this problem. Staff is not very knowledgeable in trying to correct a problem. $400+ wasted. I will never go there again!!! read more

Lies and bait and switch! To get the same day service after you do the whole exam unless you upgrade to their other product that the only one available for your particular prescription only I found it odd that both my daughter and myself were both in that same category, even though we have different prescriptions you have to upgrade plus the referral program is a lie. It's a flat out. Lie didn't get anything they promised in writing when questioned about it they said it didn't apply to the special when it clearly stated in writing in their advertisement for the referral that the referral does not apply to contact lens prescription. This wasn't a contact lens prescription and they didn't honor their referral. They lied. They actually advertised that you get money off of yours and that your referral gets a free pair of sunglasses. They're just cheap and they lied. And as far as they're advertised special same-day glasses, you're not gonna get same-day glasses unless you upgrade to the only thing they have available in "your prescription." read more

I discussed purchasing 2 pairs of glasses with Perla went through the whole process thinking I was getting 2 Pairs. A month goes by and I hear nothing so I called and tried the automated system. My phone number has no order associated with it. I call back and spoke to a live person they said oh yeah they are ready I know it I've touched them. Go into pick up and there's only 1 pair. They person said here's a copy of the receipt you received. I never looked at the receipt because we were talking about 2 pair the whole time.
