I have been in 2 times to have my glasses adjusted. No charge. . The 2nd time I inquired about new glasses. I ended up ordering 2 pair with progressive lenses. A VERY good price. My new glasses will be in in about 12 days. In the meantime, a lense fell out. Went back today. They put my lense back in and replaced the nose pads. Again, no charge. The staff was amazing. Normally, it can be a hassle to get glasses or even to just get them fixed. Some places can either overcharge or make the process unnecessarily difficult. Was in need of same-day glasses, and got exactly what was needed! We were able to book an appointment within 5 minutes of searching for glass places. Arrived and was examined for roughly 20 minutes, with a few machines and a virtual doctor. Soon after the test results, we were able to choose frames out of many options. The 2 for $79 deal was so worth it! Got the glasses the same day since Nathan was able to find the right lenses and fit them quickly. Had a 12:05 appointment. Eye test went smoothly and quick. After that the man that helped with the test appeared to be waiting for someone else to help us. Then he tried, but obviously was not trained on their computer system. The manager came over to help once, and gave him login info. He couldn't get their promotional rates to apply. When the cost seemed too high, he was unable to apply my insurance discount. Was there until 2:20 and left because they couldn't tell me the cost of the glasses. Then when I told him I couldn't wait any longer, I had to pay full price for the eye test because they didn't know how to apply the insurance discount. How bad is that? Went there planning on buying glasses, and left frustrated and ripped off. I would give them negative stars if it was possible. read more

LIE, LIE, LIE!!! Please do not waist your time going here. They advertise deals that do not exist. There is no actual dr., nurse or even medical assistant to give you there "exam". Originally got pulled in by there advertisement that said "2 pairs of glasses, eye exam & prescription for only 59 dollars" There was no such deal and like I said no actual medical professional to give you an eye exam. When I confronted the sales associate about the "deal" they showed me five pairs of frames that I could choose from, and if I wanted scratch guard or uv protection it was an additional 80 dollars for both but like I said this deal/advertisement was untrue because NO ACTUAL MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL to give you a exam, not only is this ridiculous but unsafe. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME HERE. I like to save money as much as the next person and went to Walmart and had a much better experience and saved a ton of money. read more

Thank you Nick V. for being so helpful and kind when we really needed glassses! Yes we did pay more than 59$, but his glasses are thick and needed the scratch coating. Yes, they took 14 days to come in. Again, he has a strong prescription. We still paid less for 3 pairs of glasses than we have paid for 1 pair of glasses in the past at other places. The good: The Telehealth exam was awesome. Not only did it relieve most of my covid concerns, would now be my preference. The staff was attentive and professional. The bad: I had my service animal with me, was told he could not be in the store with me. I know my rights but chose peace. Stopped in today to pick up two pair and have one adjusted. Nothing on the windows or doors about no dogs, service animals included.ds It got worse when an associate made reference to the homeless folks next door? Do I look homeless? Smell? I did make the statement ' I walk to get there', maybe this makes me appear homeless? Suggestion: Place signs on doors, be clear on limitations. I decided to go here to refill my contact lens prescription. Two hours later, I still haven't gotten my prescription. Extremely unprofessional. I used to go to an optometrist across the street and they were way better and faster. It's a little more expensive, but I'd rather do that next time. This place doesn't even have an optometrist in person. It's a Skype call. Not to mention all of their glasses are essentially Walmart off brand glasses. They mark them up by at least 200%. Worked with Chris initially. Customer service was good, selection was good, and that's where the good stops. First nobody contacted me to let me know my order was complete, I had to continually call. My order was never entered into their automated system so I had no choice but to call the local store. Their phone line quality was so bad, Chris had to call me on his cell phone just so I could understand what they were saying. Then before I go pick them up, I find out they are giving me the used frames that were on display instead of new frames (yet I am paying retail price for them). I explain that if I am paying top dollar, I'm not going to buy used frames. They ask me, "Was there anything wrong with the ones on display?" Um, duh? They are DISPLAY FRAMES that literally everybody tries on and I paid for new frames... Is this confusing to anybody else?Finally I get them to order new frames for me. I am very happy with my exam and pair of prescription glasses that I got from this Vista location. Although the exam was done by a doctor not at the location (virtually), it worked out fine. The doctor was able to control the machine and when there was a need for a different set-up the admin did the change and the doctor continued on. I'm at a loss for choosing frames. I'm an older lady who fell while walking. I landed on my left hand and face. My glasses were somewhat 'sideways' but usable. I was driving past Stanton Optical in Vista and decided to just drop in. Tom Sweeten was on duty. He spent quite a few minutes straightening out the frame WITHOUT CHARGE. I drove away happy but remembered his kindness. A week or so later, I decided to get some new glasses. Guess where I went? I once again thanked Tom for his compassion on my last visit. He got me some new reading glasses at a very reasonable price. I only went in for a pair of eyeglasses so this rating is only for the service I received there as well as online. This place is a hit or miss, they work on commission (glasses) so they will try to upsell. If you get a decent person to help you you'll be fine but who's to say who will get? They will give you the same exact pair of glasses you try on - the demo pair, mine still have the adhesive where the description sticker used to be. It was my first time in with Stanton I came off a recommendation from my brother , when I called to make the appointment they were very friendly and helpful on the phone and had great availability! The eye exam and lady helping me was so nice it was my first telemedicine appointment but it was honestly great and went super smoothly! I recently went to Stanton Optical for a routine eye exam and had my first Telehealth exam. I was a bit hesitant at first however the experience was just fine. The staff was friendly and kept to my appointment time. I was helped by Angela and I did not feel pressured or rushed to purchase glasses. I was given the time and space to look through the store and found the prices reasonable. I have never felt more relaxed buying glasses before and am truly grateful for that experience. The only down side is the actual location of the building. There is only one one way in and out of the parking lot. read more

This has been the worst place. I have had trouble getting my contact order since May of last year. They always said that there was a problem with the vendor and that it was a delayed on my order. Well they had me like that for about 3 month. I called seveleal times and same answer. Only 1 I spoke with the manager (John) who know less than the people that work there. Well I asked for my refund, because till this day I have not got my order. I moved to Tememula. and I never got a called or message telling me that my order was in. John said well we send them back. I told him why if they were paid. This is the worst places. He (John) as a manager is no good. read more

The 2 Gals working were short handed and extremely busy. They did the best they could with the hand they were dealt and did a great job getting people taken care of. Great job to them 2 young ladies! We were there on 1/23/2 at the Vista Ca location. My son and I were there 3 hours. My only complaint would be the company not taking care of their employees and having sufficient staffing to handle the appointment being scheduled. A call center is setting appointments, but not staffing each store accordingly. read more

I will never do business with them again. Paid over $600 for two pairs of glasses including extra for scratch resistant lenses. Within one week after receiving the glasses the lenses fell out, I left the glasses with them and the call to let me know the had repaired them in house. When I went back to pick them up one of the lenses was scratched, I would not except them they did send then out to be replaced. One week later the nose pads fell off, they did fix them in house. Three months now and both pair have scratches and the want to charge me $130.00 each to repair. Did I mention I paid extra for anti scratch lenses! Give me a break. I do not recommend this sub par company. Go to Costco, they stand behind what they sell. Update 6/8/20, I did as Marcelo asked and sent an email to customer service, 6 months later still no reply from Stanton Optical! Just sent them another email, we will see if they do care about their customers or just want to show they respond on yelp. read more

Terrible all the way around First of all there is no free exam it's $45 and they say you are going to get a credit towards your glasses which they are trying to sell you initially for about $300 I was there 2 1/2 hrs with them trying to get a decent price going back and forth. There is no 2 pair for $59.99 either. It's all a scam to get you in and then try to make more sales. I am sure they are on commission I left buying 1 pair of glasses for my son that had a slight prescription for $148 plus I paid $45 for the exam You will spend about the same amount as you always have along with a horrible experience with people that know nothing about your eyes They knew nothing about my sons eye prescription which was done there ( it's a doctor on a screen not present ) They said he needed to come back on a Tues to see the doctor but didn't know why except there was a word in the notes that they didn't know what it meant. They scheduled me for 9 AM on a Tues and the doctor doesn't even come in until 9:30 on top of that there was NOTHING wrong with his eyes My experience was like trying to buy a car Go to Costco or Walmart if you have to pay cash and need a really good price.. maybe not the best but MUCH better than this read more

Ok so... I had a pretty bizarre experience at this place. I scheduled an eye exam appointment earlier today. When I got to the place the doors were locked and it was still over 2 hours before close time. I knocked on the door and I saw a person in the back quickly hide when he saw me. I called customer services and they were no help. Called store and they wouldn't pick up. Feels like they are pretty unprofessional. I am glad I didn't get my glasses there. My husband went in to get his eyes checked and ordered 2 pairs of glasses. He felt the service was great. The optometrist was nice and really sat down and discussed all of his needs and concerns. I have been here months before and had a fair eye exam. The optical assistant- red head young woman was moody and not friendly but nothing i couldn't overlook since i understand some days can be tough for everyone. I made another appointment for my son to be seen several days ago and had to deal with her again. Just overall poor attitude and i decided to walk out with my son. My basic questions appeared to bother her and she seemed frustrated and annoyed as she was short with answers. I can let it go the first time but why deal with it a second time? Had an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. No one on site. Waited until 10 minutes after posted "store hours" say open to call. I'm told by the person on the phone it's odd the store isn't open, he places me on hold and calls someone. Back on the line he says "Im sorry the store isn't open today, I'm not sure what happened" I see a women sitting in car, she was there before me. I asked her if she was an employee, yes she is. She doesn't know why the doors are locked, she won't get out of her car because this seems to be common practice and she was "verbally assaulted" last time it happened. She has been trying to real someone to no avail. Finally at 30 minutes past our appointment we left. At 57 minutes after our appointment, I received a call from a man who said "we had a scheduling mixup, and he would like to reschedule my appointment! That's a negative! I do not recommend Stanton optical. My glasses came in and the lenses were incorrect. We had them re do it after I saw the doctor, who affirmed my suspicions about the lenses being focused wrong. They said said they would call when the glasses arrived but they never called, and I had to call to see if they arrived. When I came in to get my glasses they again were wrong, and I knew this right away. They tried to force me to keep the glasses saying that my eyes had to adjust, however I have been wearing glasses for over 10 years and I have never had this problem. You know right away if your glasses work or not. Nick, was very rude to me and I was forced to bring my mom in to demand a refund. I got my eye exam here and got two pairs of glasses. The whole experience was great, despite COVID regulations. While taking my eye exam, I felt like the mask was fogging up my glasses a bit. I thought that would interfere with my results, and it didn't at all! When I had gone to eyeglass world, they had made my glasses same day, so I was surprised to find out that I would have to wait for mine to come in, and a couple of weeks too. It made me nervous, thinking I would spend so much and not like my prescription, but TRUST THEM! I ended up picking my glasses up earlier than what they said, and I can actually see now! When I went to eyeglass world, the prescription they prescribed, didn't even work, I thought there was something wrong with me!! Good to know it was just crappy service!
