We sent our son here this morning. He is currently there now. My son has a disability ( brain damage) so we try to make things easier for him in society by recommending places to go. He made an appt. We were drawn in by their ad that says two for 79.99. When he got there and they did his exam they told him. He didn't qualify for the deal because one eye is over 2. That's NOWHERE in the AD! So NOW he has to pay 180$ that he barely even has! PLUS he didn't even get to see an actual person it was via telecom! And to put the icing on the cake after his exam he stepped out to his car and they CANCELED his appointment!! I have Vision Benefits Thru my advantage plan that pays for my glasses, $100.00 per frame, Exam, Lens. Single, Bi-Focal, Tri-Focal and Tier 1 (Standard) progressive. I have it in writing and listed on United HealthCare's website. They tried to tell me that the lenses weren't covered plus I would have to pay for higher priced lenses on top of it. I've got the paperwork to prove it, I walked out without any Glasses and will not be going back to any Stanton Optical locations again, they are a total rip-off. Last time I attempted to use another location the glasses were so messed up they had to refund my benefits. DON'T USE THIS PLACE. THEY ARE COMPLETELY DISORGANIZED AND DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. I have used America's Best for about 10 years, getting new glasses every year. The last couple of times weren't as good, so I decided to try out Stanton. BIG MISTAKE! At least when there were issues at America's Best they were willing to make the situation right. On 9/5/24 I went to Stanton for an eye exam and ordered one pair of distance glasses and one pair of computer glasses with blue tint. I specifically chose this place because they advertise "same day service". I recently have been struggling with my current glasses and wanted to get them replaced before I left for an extended vacation. I asked several times about the delivery time to make sure I would get them before vacation. I was assured that both pairs would be delivered within 7-10 days of order. Their same day service is only for basic lenses with no tint, which should have been fine for my distance glasses because they were plastic lenses with no tint or anti-glare. Even those couldn't be done same day because their machine was broken. They said they were using other local Stanton locations for orders they usually did in-house and it would take 2-3 days max (9/7-9/8). The computer glasses had to be ordered from the lab because of the blue tint and were to be ready in 7-10 days. Based on this, they should have been ready by 9/13. I didn't want to make two separate trips, so I waited to be notified that both pairs were ready. I received two separate text messages on 9/17 and 9/18 that my order was ready. I went to pick them up on the 18th but they only had the computer glasses. I was told the distance glasses never came in but they would work to get with another store to get them completed within 2 days. I agreed to wait another 2 days and again stressed that I needed them by the weekend because I was leaving for vacation in a few days. I took the computer glasses just so they didn't have the opportunity to misplace them before my distance glasses arrived. I got them home and they were not even remotely close to being the correct prescription. Late the next day (9/19) I received a message from Vincent (one of the managers) that they were not able to find a single store in the metroplex that had the lenses and they had to reorder them with another 5 business day delivery. That wouldn't get them to me before vacation, so I went back up to the store on 9/20/24 with the bad computer glasses in hand and told them I wanted a full refund. The entire time I was there fighting with them about the refund, they kept changing their story to suit them. I was given a massive run around about how I had ordered reading glasses not computer glasses. This is a big load of crap. I even provided both of my current pairs before, during, and just after the exam. When I ordered, we discussed at great length the importance of having the blue tint because I spend about 12-14 hours a day working at my computer. Then they tried to convince me that they could have the distance glasses to me quickly now because they have the lenses that just 12 hours before no one in the metroplex had. They would have to order the computer glasses again with a now 2-week delivery time. They finally agreed to refund the glasses but refused to refund the eye exam even though the prescription was wrong. I had to pay way more money to go somewhere else, have another exam, and get glasses same day. The people at Stanton have no idea what customer service is. All of this over a $69 eye exam. They could have taken that small loss for their incompetence and it would have made a world of difference in my reaction. I understand mistakes happen, but when they do, the company making the mistakes should take full responsibility for them. I have now filed a dispute with my credit card for the $69 they refused to refund. I may not get that money back, but at the very least, they will have to jump through hoops to keep it. read more

Most eye places take forever to get an appt or to be taken back for the exam ect, not this place! Typically can be in and out pretty quick if the network isn't down lol. Stephanie was super helpful and patient with me, even helped me find the perfect frames. I live in the area and took my 2 children to this office. They have no eye doctors on site. Everything is still done virtual. There was a long wait for someone just to conduct the eye exam. now it's been 3 1/2 weeks since I paid in full for my children's eye wear. I showed up at 2 weeks and was told there was a weather delay coming form Ft Worth and it was total sunshine out doors! Like I could have drove to Ft worth to pick it up myself. They have yet to give me a follow up on my eye ware or give a courtsey update. Don't think about getting a refund and going else where. Note to self just don't come here. I purchased a pair of bi-focal glasses for myself and a standard pair for my wife and one of my kids. Less than 6 months later the protective coating started to flake off my pair (yes I only use a Terry cloth and special lenses spray). I came to the store and they told me that they could do nothing about it since I did not purchase their lenses warrantee (which was not offered at the time I purchased the glasses. They wanted me to spend another $200 for a new pair of lenses. No thank you. Why would I buy another pair of lenses that won't last 6 months. It was time for a new prescription, so my husband and I went back to what was called My EyeLab but is now Stanton Optical...I've been wearing glasses for 8-10 years now and I was tired of them, so I wanted to try contacts. Stephanie helped us both, the hubs got new glasses and I got contacts and a pair of back-up glasses... she was so kind and patient. She made sure we were getting the best price with our insurance and discounts. She even taught me how to put them in...she is such a sweet girl. If I could leave zero stars I would- the only person working there is a under qualified, lazy individual that not only was incompetent but rude. I know technology has its perks; however when the person zooms in another tech to virtually complete an eye exam and cannot figure out your prescription- it was a complete waste of time and money. The staff at the store was great. The optometrist was virtual. When I asked questions he told me to go see my regular optometrist. I asked what contact cleaner was best for cleaning contacts! I wish I could get my money back. It was a drive through check up and don't ask any questions. At the end of the visit I was cut off and was told our time was up. Should be a 0 star. I was highly dissatisfied with Eyelab in Waxahachie. Also they won't give me or my husband the owners number after asking for cooperates number. We order contacts an glasses for my daughter an I an a pair of glasses for my other daughter. Keep in mind my daughter's are not as expensive as mine. I alone spent 500 a piece on each. Not including the girls. We used insurance which only covered 150 on each individual the rest was out of our pocket. The response the manager gave me was it was through insurance anyways when I told her the items cost alot to not be correct or be a default in contact lense. Then she denied saying it at all when my husband called.. although have two witnesses, my daughters age 12 an 17. A whole lot more to add but won't waste my time. I would never recommend this place ever nor will we be back an we will eventually get the owners number. The manager is rude an unprofessional completely. I've read reviews on the Eyelab in Waxahachie apparently many people are dissatisfied. I ordered 2 pair is glasses (regular and su glasses) 12/21/21. They estimated they would be ready 10-15 days later. No calls, no texts. I went in 2/1/22 and found they had just received them the day before. The glasses needed adjustment so I returned 2/7/22. They then discovered the sunglasses frame was broken. (I had not yet used them - not being out much due to icy weather). I was told they would replace the frames under warranty but since it was over 30 days from my order I'd have to pay $19 fee. I refused to pay extra for defective item - I had not had them but a week. It took calling the company's customer service and convincing the store manager to call her boss before the fee was waived though never for the right reason. This is a very unsatisfactory level of customer service with argumentative treatment. Needless to say I won't go back and caution everyone to think twice before dealing with this store. read more
