I visited the UPS Alliance inside Staples to return an Amazon package, and the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. My return was supposed to be label-less, meaning UPS prints the label, but the employee told me I had to print it myself--so I ended up paying for a label I shouldn't have needed in the first place. After that, she assured me I didn't need an additional slip inside the package because she would place one there in case the exterior label got damaged. When the man who seemed to be her supervisor took over, the interaction went downhill fast. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer service. He contradicted what the first employee told me, then applied the label carelessly and didn't even properly seal the package using the pre-glued, peel-off adhesive strip. When I asked if he should cover the old label, he snapped that it "didn't matter because it was FedEx," which... still seems like something anyone cautious would do to avoid confusion. He packaged everything so sloppily--including right in front of me--that it honestly felt intentional, as though he was annoyed to even be helping. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I really hope other customers don't have to deal with this kind of treatment. Returning a package shouldn't be this complicated, and basic courtesy should not be too much to expect. read more

I came to Staples to use the copy machines. After completing my work at the copy machines, I paid for my copies and was given a bag by the clerk to place my copies in. I was at the machine for about 20 minutes. I went to the rear of the store to check the clearance section and then started walking toward the front door. As I approached the front door a young man, who I think was the manager ask me was there anything I needed to pay for. I looked at him in awe and said no. If I was on my own time and not on company time that incident would have ended differently. I would have told him how I really felt. He made it seem as if I was stealing something. As a manager I feel as if his training was insufficient for the situation. I feel as if I was racially profiled. I will let my company know what happen and I will not be using Staples again. The Railroad company that I represent spend a lot of money with Staples. read more

1. In the printing department, only one printer working for the last 6 months. I had trouble printing what I needed from my phone no help was offer what so ever, not even is everything okay? 2. When to find a printer to find the color cartridge I needed, no one in the department ask for help and the cashier couldn't figure out how to find it. read more

Management at this store is awful. The customer service reps are left not trained on how to do the process of the job and left to figure it out. Figure it out so your staff is not left in the dust. read more

Went to buy printer ink and someone helped me find the right one - thanks. But then I went to checkout. Stood in a long line of people with a big lighted sign that said "Checkout". Stood there quite a while before I found out (from talking to someone in line) that this was not the checkout line after all, but actually the "Amazon Return" line. There was no other places that I could see to checkout where anyone was working, so I walked over to another large counter (with no one behind the counter) and asked a woman waiting there if she was in line for checking out to buy something. She said no. She was waiting to return an item. Finally gave up, set the printer ink on that counter and left. Think about this - there were more people in that store returning Amazon products than there were actually trying to buy Staples products ! Crazy !! I will never go back. MUCH easier to order from Amazon and wait at home - even if it does take a few days. In this situation, when I needed the ink quickly, I ended up buying it at Walmart. Easy peasy !! Staples may be decent for large orders for businesses, but they suck at serving regular small customers who come in to buy individual items. read more

I'm pissed off with this store. I placed an order to the Aberdeen store but forgot the store was closed due to the power outage in Moore County. I called Asheboro store to see if I could get my order transferred to the store they said no so I called the one 800 number. The lady told me that she could do it for me but the store couldn't totally understand. I called the store to confirm they did receive my order? and how would they contact me when my order was ready for pickup? 2 simple questions. The boy put the phone down and started speaking with colleagues and 20 minutes later I still do not have answers to my 2 simple questions. I hang up and call back I explained my situation to the lady that picked up and repeated my 2 simple question to her she told me to hold on for the store manager ? ‍ I was placed on hold for 10 more minutes till the manager got on the phone. I'm done using this store!! I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Staples could not assist with laminating a project after I contacted the employee by phone, prior to visiting the Asheboro location. The only associate with knowledge to use the machine had left. I am confused how this store has staff untrained for Customer Service! read more

I shopped a bit and also had something printed at this location today. The service was amazing. My printing was done, bagged, and paid for in under 5 minutes! Then as I shopped, several clerks offered assistance. I will definitely return. read more
