I would have given a five star, but there's this one young lady at checkout on Amazon return that very fair skinned and extremely curly hair who never ever smiles. She barely talks and actually most of the time never talks. She looks very unhappy like she doesn't wanna be there and I dread Having her service me. You want office supplies? They got office supplies. Well, maybe. Depends on what you want as supply chains are weird and things are just randomly out of stock. Definitely not unique to Staples, just a reality of the world. I've been here many times over the years since they opened and they're overall consistent when it comes to cashiering. If you need to visit the print/ship/laminate shop your experience will very greatly. Most recent visits to Staples have all been perfectly lovely each time, hopefully it stays that way! read more

We went in to print a few documents, as you walk in, the service counter is to your right. There were 3 customers at the desk and one woman waiting in the line. After standing behind her for 2 minutes, I decided to simply ask how long has she been waiting, she replied about 10 minutes, I knew she anxious because she paced in her position. So I decided not to stay and then a nice tall young gentleman asked me is everything was going okay? I told him seems customer service is too long so I'm going elsewhere. I told him I need to print out an email with important documents. He kindly walked me over to the Copier machine self service and guided me thru the whole process! This is literally the worst staples to go to for printing services. I frequently visit this staples for printing needs for my small business and their print department simply sucks. I place online orders to avoid confusion in what I need in terms of paper size, paper type, etc. and even by doing so, their print department will likely mess up my order and I will have to wait in the store while they correct it. It is not uncommon for them to fail to call when your order is ready. 9/10 I have to call them to verify if the order is completed because I never heard back from them by the completion time. Today's experience was different, the employees didn't know the difference between the different paper types they offer for posters, at the end of the conversation I simply paid and left with the poster they had printed even though I knew it was on the wrong paper type AND I paid to have it expedited and they didn't even call to tell me it was ready. I would give a five star but there was a few folks sitting out front of the store that made me very uncomfortable. I reserved a Kindle 1376090 item last night for pick-up today. Went in today and spoke with Steve who looked in the back for the product. He couldn't find and called his General Manager, but was told that it was not here although he told me the system had 5 in stock (one of which was a return). This is a very bad customer experience. I would recommend Staples taking a look at the following: Correct, repair, control, or, as last resort, replace your inventory system as it is apparent that it is not close to accurate Improve communication of out of stocks and synchronize to online, forward facing website viewed by your customers Empower and retrain employees to troubleshoot, correct problems, and provide a better experience for your customers... Including your management team. I asked Steve if he would/could sell me another, in-stock Kindle for the same price since I was inconvenienced and he said, "No." He did apologize, but his apology does not give me much confidence in shopping at Staples going forward. While I patiently waited for Steve to find one of the 4/5 Kindles, I looked around the store at some monitors since I am looking to replace several within my company; I noticed how many items did not have a price or description. Merchandising is obviously not a priority either. Overall, it seems that this store is very poorly managed with no emphasis on its customers. I tried to share the above with Staples by clicking "send feedback," but this message bounced back as apparently this message goes nowhere. I can't tell what they're doing with the store layout. Everything is hard to find. I typically walk around the store a few times before I find the right section. I did have a good experience with their service for computer browsing. I really wanted a touch screen laptop after mine was stolen. The asst manager looked online and said they didn't have any yet buy dine would probably roll out closet to windows 8 or as soon as early September. The staff at the location were very friendly and helpful. I liked that they took the time to walk me down to the aisle that had what I was looking for rather than just pointing to the general direction. The store was pretty large in comparison to most Staples store I have been too and had a wide variety of items and plentiful parking. I deducted two stars for the general cleanliness of this location. It just felt so dirty in here- stained carpets, notebooks knocked down to the floor, scattered items. It really needs some better upkeep. read more

Kevin, the manager at the Kent, Wa, Staples went above and beyond to get me a refund when I was scammed into buying gift cards. I figured it out before I sent the gift card numbers, but wasn't able to return them. He didn't need to do anything as I hadn't known that gift cards were not refundable. But he realized that I am a senior who was unfamiliar with gift cards and who got scammed, so he contacted the company and got them to make an exception. I then donated the returned money to Golden Oldies, a cat organization that rescues older cats when their owners die or can no longer keep them. A win for everyone - except the scammer! I'm not sure how this location stays in business. Must be the office supply sales from the near by school district office that keeps them afloat. Our Point of sale printer died, Staples is right across the street from us, I call them and they confirm that the printer we need is is stock. I go over there, no printer in stock. There is a brand new one on the display shelf, the sales person would not sell me that one. I wasn't even asking for a discount on it for being a floor model. I went to Office Depot 5 miles up the road and bought the printer there. Today we needed two hard drives for two PC's, I go over there and there's a display with about 20 boxes of 2 TB hard drives, they don't have ONE in stock. I ask the gal there and it looked like I was waking her up from her sleep. No hurry, no urgency to find one. They always act like you are putting them out or making them work too hard. From now on i'll just automatically take the drive to Covington to Office Depot or go to Renton to Fry's. read more

The Store is all right if your just getting something simple that you know is already there. It's a bit dirty and disorganized however and finding anything new can be an experience. Asking for help often won't do much good because many of the store associates don't know where anything is either. If you ask you'll get the logical place something should be, but it might also be 4 rows down on an end of the isle display as well. The main problem is you really have no variety to choose from without going online, a website the employee's always seem to push you towards if you have a problem. Too bad the site is slow and poorly maintained. Tons of items that are out of stock are still listed as available in store or otherwise. If you complain on the phone or in store you get the standard excuse of they try their best to keep things up to date and how you should add something your cart to refresh the system. Total hogswash however, several the computers I was interested in are still on the site 5 days later, all saying available until you add to cart or go into the store itself. If your looking for something more complex than a pencil the website is just a waste of your time. read more

My wife and I were in there yesterday, my wife had made a invitation for my sons birthday party and we wanted to make copies of it. it took 2 hours to make a copy and the person behind the counter messed it up, gave us something we didn't want, and did not listen to the request we made. When she got backed up with customers, she called 4 times in less then 20 min for help, it took over an hour for someone to come help her. All the while the other employees were standing around talking and not doing anything. Im very disappointed in the customer service that we received from staples as we shop there quite often.
