Customer service is not good. I walked into the store and no one greeted me, and that was okay, but a part of customer service is how you make a customer feel welcomed. Still, I can get past what I didn't appreciate, or rather value is that I went to ask a worker a question and initially they ignored me. I took a step back and then said "hi, by chance I have a question. Could you help or tell me where item xyz is located" the worker didn't answer or acknowledge and waited 35/40 secs and said "what can I help you with" after me asking and trying to communicate twice already and gave me a short rushed response and where they sent me wasn't even the correct area or item I inquired about. I felt that was rude and disrespectful especially as a paying customer looking for assistance. read more

Stood and waited for an employee to talk to me about Amazon returns was upset that I didn't see the sign saying that it didn't return anymore. Worst customer service of my entire life incredibly rude. Never going to return. I don't even care if I need something from Staples shouldn't hire people that can't work in customer service. read more

Never greeted. Customer service is horrible. Print specialist wanted to stand and talk random chatter about the weather on his cell phone to someone while I'm standing directly in front of him needing assistance. I finally just walked away as he never even acknowledged me standing there and told him he's obviously too busy to help. He continued his conversation rather than ask his friend to hold while he takes care of the customer. First time here and will never be back. read more

Beware if you go to pick up an online order of their bait and switch scam. Read your receipt before you leave the store. Swapped a few items on a online pick-up order adding an extra $65 in-store charge. Sounds like bait and switch to me. What do you think? read more

I want to publicly thank Melissa and all of the employees at the Staples on Harrodsburg Road. I have had numerous work related printing jobs done through them, so I trusted them with printing my wedding invitations when other higher end print shops in Lexington weren't able to print on the cards that I had supplied. Melissa is ALWAYS prompt, MORE THAN helpful, and she is such a great person to work with. She worked really hard on getting the formatting of my invitations and RSVP cards just right, and making sure that the print quality was perfect. Thank you SO MUCH, staples! I also had my full color bridal shower invitations printed through them, and they looked fantastic and SO professional! I can not say enough about Melissa and Staples Harrodsburg Road. I was dumbfounded by the lack of knowledge and professionalism the staff. I went shopping for two types of professional grade paper. The first paper option I found by myself the second option I had to ask a staff member for help at the printing desk area- she proceeds to show me some options...mid conversation she ( Kathy) leaves walks to the back area brings back a plate of pizza, sits down and begins to eat; completely disregarding the conversation that we were having. Then another staff member (Dana) steps in (leaving the people we was helping). He was semi-helpful but has an overall poor attitude and lack of care in his job- later I found out he was the available manager... Overall I felt like it was a waist of time. read more

This staples is amazing in that it can stay open. Every time I have been there there is a customer upset with something that is taking entirely too long. On two separate occasions I have tried to ship something, and felt like I was being punked. No matter how simple it should be to ship a box with their UPS services, the clerk could not make it happen. It should be simple to ship a box? One would think. Horrible customer service. Left me hanging on the phone for 20 minutes. Got to the store and the man apologized, sigh. I tried to find help to locate an item to and all employees ran like mice hiding. The store need to better station employees throughout the store, so we could get the service that we needed. Today I had a really great experience. With all the craziness of the quarantining and what's going on right now I really needed to get something printed while still trying to keep distance and be safe for my self unborn child and 2 smaller kids. So one of the staples worker named John saw that I had two children in the car that I was hesitant to bring down, in fear that they would get sick. And offered multiple ways I could stay in the car and still get the print out sent to the store and then he brought it out to my car so that I wouldn't have to bring my kids inside the store. He was proof that humanity and compassion still exist. I will definitely be back. read more

I have been in to the Staples on Harrodsburg a couple times recently. The employees are knowledgeable and efficient and have gone out of their way to be helpful and accommodating, even in their busy holiday season. It's worth a drive to the other side of town to have them do the work. read more

Ok, I have been shopping at Staples for many years before the came to Lexington; since the 1980s. So, know that I like the business. With that disclosure, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with this location. I, instead, recommend the location in North Park, next to the Wal-Mart. This location seems to be more interested in each other than the customer. Since they rearrange the displays often, it would seem to me they would be aware of customers looking lost as they search for the items they need, in the location they were yesterday. I give them 3 stars because the products are pretty good if they have them in stock and you can find them. It would be 5 stars if customer service existed. As an additional insult to me, a regular customer, as I was approaching a register the clerk put up the closed register and walked away with a smug smile on her face. She didn't say a thing, just walked away. Because of this and other experiences like it, I give them a zero for customer service. read more

Had to argue with the clerk for 10 minutes that an item the was 25% off didn't ring up right. Purchased a backpack that was tagged $45.99 with "Retail Price" lettered directly over the price. I questioned the price. The clerk said "Oh that is the right price, the computer rang it up right. I ask for a manager. After 10 minutes, manager said that we were correct. These people in the printing and ups department at the Harrodsburg Road store have helped me so many times, last minute, right before closing, etc. I can't say enough good things about them! I have just been in situations where I needed things printed immediately, printer broke, or something mailed immediately for business and they were there happy to help. read more
