I wish I could give this store zero stars. I just left Staples some 30 minutes ago and was so upset over my experience that I knew I needed to write a review. I purchased a two pack ink cartridge. When I got home, the neither cartridge was the same and neither were the same as the package label. Both cartridges were expired from several years ago. I tried to exchange the product with receipt today and the manager refused. He told me to call HP. He seemed to refuse to acknowledge that his store sold faulty products, continually saying that his store does not sell such cartridges when they obviously do. If a store sells faulty products and refuses to exchange them for non defective products, you should shop elsewhere. Update: I took the ink back to another Staples and they said that the packages get mixed up all the time! read more

It really sucks that for a group of people who are employed during these hard times, the people skills, training and interest in being of good or great customer service is hugely lacking. I'm not sure I have ever been to this location but I was really surprised how friendly and helpful the staff members were. They also have a new USPS branch inside and with a 20% off coupon. Otherwise, I think the mailing prices are regular price, not jacked up higher. I had to get some toner for my printer. They had it much cheaper at the Staples website so when I showed the cashier the website she gave me the online price. I was super happy cause I think I saved about $15. The Staples website also connects to let you know how much inventory is that your closest store which I found super helpful. OfficeMax did not carry what I needed so I drove over to this one. Plenty of parking and this place is clean and well-maintained. And my printer is working great. Stopped over to go grocery shopping at the Ralph's next-door. I saw that not just dealing with me but with all the customers. I mean it all the customers. The associate Kamyle in the copy center is rude and unprofessional I've been to this store many times and always she's the only one sitting down and yelling at customers from her little throne instead of helping them in a polite professional manner, I can't believe she's a supervisor ...worst service ever !!! everyone else in the department has been kind and attentive to me if I was her manager I would have performance managed her out already . read more

Rude customer service. Had a question about a gift card I bought which wasn't validated. As I was concerned a gift I'd be giving for the holiday may not work, I spoke to the manager (I believe his name was Sandeep). The manager was rude and walked away as I was talking. When I told him the customer service at this Staples location was lacking and it'd be better if I took my business elsewhere, he replied "I don't care" and continued to walk away. This is precisely why Staples locations have been shutting their doors--the managers "don't care." Amazon, here I come (excellent customer service). I ordered an Embosser close to a month ago. I paid extra to expedite the order. Two weeks passed no embosser. I was called and told staff ( Mario) did not record the direction I wished the embosser to sit and the order would be completed and rushed out. I made three more trips to the store to find the embosser hasn't arrived. Promised a manager would be contacting me regarding the status of my order. Friday I stopped by to get an update to discover my order had been canceled without notice, two weeks ago! Today it happened that I had an urgent pop-up client order for a print job that Chandru and Jefrey helped me with big time only a couple of hours before closing. I have no idea how staples is still in business. Certain brands have a monopoly on products. Example: you can ONLY get seagate hard drives and PNY thumb drives In addition, I've been wandering around here for 15 min already trying to find stuff and not one person has spoken to me. They are not busy. They offer no help or direction whatsoever in packing and shipping. I just left and no one noticed, even though they printed stuff for me. Clean and big but I came in but I came in to print some important documents and their WiFi did not work at all, there was no way for me to email my documents to their printing service. Definitely choose another spot or come with a USB instead if you need something printed. read more

I must honestly say that this is the place I will go when it comes to any office/electronic needs. Number one this place is totally convenient for me to go to. I could always go to Office Max next to the CVS(pharmacy) off Venice near the 10-fwy and give them a shot but I would feel like its a waste of time. I feel biased to come here because I really am in love with the customer service. I have been here on more than a couple occasions and I have been satisfied every time. There is a young lady who works there who is very knowledgeable about anything technological; everything from processor speeds to Pros and Cons of over-hyped tablets. I could ask her anything about electronics and 9 times out of 10 she would know the answer. Mohammed,a gentleman that works there, is a very customer oriented person; he does whatever it takes to make a customer feel like royalty. I had no clue about this place until I took a chance on a Sunday night when most of the other stores were closed. I walked around the place, asked questions and got treated with an amount of service one would usually recieve at a supermarket. I do not know what you would rate this place if you went here. I am a little biased about going to this place because of my personal experience. There is no place I would rather frequent when it comes to office supplies/equipment. I went in to print a picture on an 11x17 piece of paper from a dropbox file (Sunday Feb 16, 2020, 1:30 PM). After trying two ways to access the file and print myself, I stood in line to have someone at the print center help me. There was only one person working, I was third in line and more people began to show up. I got out of line and asked the manager if he could help me. He literally told me that he couldn't help me and told me to go wait back in line. I had already tried to do it myself and had been waiting for 10 minutes. He was the most unhelpful person I have ever dealt with. He said he couldn't help himself and he didn't offer to find another staff member to staff the print center. He offered no solutions whatsoever. It was infuriating. Eventually, he asked another employee, JC, to help me out. JC was extremely helpful. He didn't have the answer right away but was PROACTIVE. The manager should be demoted/fired and JC should be promoted. read more

Staples opening up a few block from me has been one of Gods gifts. I cannot recall the number of times I have had to print or copy something and my home printer just wont cooperate. The Copy and Print employees are so helpful and understanding and for the majority so are all the employees. I had a horrbible experience when I tried to purchase a computer with a company check. I was made to feel like a criminal and after 45 minutes of questions and interogation I left empty handed. It was worse than Federal prison (not that I have ever been, but so I hear). They took my ID and all my information to get it verified and came back with what seemed like a false apology. Regardless, I love the proximity and convenience. Staples Rewards are handy, its like free money for buying what you would have bought anyway. Their delivery service is prompt and reliable and when they have deals running, its hard to beat. Just a regular day at Staples, just picking up something I ordered online and paid for online a few days ago so I was hoping to be in and out. I had obviously already received the email stating that my simple order of (3) Avery labels had been successfully delivered to this Staples and signed for by Robert at 12:16pm. I walk in, go to the window. The associate at the register asked Robert (who I didn't know was Robert at the time) to look for my online order. Robert finishes up leaning against the counter and leaves to go look for my order... so I think. Then I see him come back my way, and passes another associate who he tells "hey can you go look for her order" -- so he hadn't been looking for it for the past 10 minutes? Then the other associate tells me he's going to go look for it. Then Robert comes back around and I say, hey, here it says you signed for it, here's the UPS slip showing the time and date it was delivered. I could keep writing but this is point, he goes in the back, comes back empty handed and tells me there's two times they deliver to Staples and the earlier time did not have my shipment. I ask why does the time say 12:16 then, like literally losing my mind inside, and he goes, "okay you know what let me go see one last time." He comes back with the labels and says, "oh it was hiding at the bottom." #MindBlown. After 30 minutes of what was the worst customer service, by one individual who was just clearly very lazy, I will never be returning to this Staples or recommending it to anyone. read more

This Staples location is definitely the closest to the places that I work, however I now ALWAYS drive out of my way to go to a different location. There was a particularly bad incident when the person working decided that he would not give me colored paper to print on to. He said that this was policy and that he did not even have the paper (event though it was right there, he lied again when I pointed it out). He was terribly condescending and rude. I knew that this was not the policy because I had been there the last 2 days in a row printing on colored paper just as I was asking to do, and I stopped there in a hurry to do so again. The encounter left me feeling so demeaned, flustered, and crazy. The next day, I went to the Staples at: 2052 Bundy Drive CA 90025 (310) 826-0442 And there I found excellent service. That was Easy??! I don't think so. In fact, I know that its NOT easy! Its hard! My entire experience in there today -- was hard. I wanted some photos scanned. I called up ahead of time, and they said, "sure we do that! It's 50 cents a scan." When I went in there they said, "no -- its $5.99 per scan!" (Minor difference.) Then I tried to buy these plastic folders (a crappy little folder that was incredibly expensive for what it was) but there were none there. Of course the stock guy "looked" for me but couldn't find them. We went on-line and it said there were 16 in-stock but no one could locate them. We called another store that said they too "had 24 in stock but no one could find them." We tried to order them on line but of course, they are not available on line. Only in store. This Staples needs BIG HELP. Hello!!! Staples??!! Are you listening here???? I am a ridiculously frivolous person who throws money away on stupid crap to be organized. I was desperately trying to throw my money down the train in your store but you people wanted no part of it. Ask me if I spent any money in there today?? NO. I did not. Now ask me if I spent any money at the Office Depot down the street. I sure did. YOU LOSE. And I will never waste time in your store again. I'll guarantee you have a head of sales at Staples who is desperately trying to make a sales goal. The worst staples of the worst. I've gone here a few times and have had the same results every single time. Either Internet is down 75% of the time at the print center. I've waited in line to be told 8 times that there system is down instead of them just making an announcement like a normal company. Additional I feel bad for this one girl who works in the print center as they never give her any sort of back up when the line gets to 10-15 which is horrible. She does her best but this place sucks! Strange to review a chain store, but I'm doing it anyway... Negatives: -Prices here are not that awesome for electronics in my opinion, so I never really make such purchases here. -When you have a question while in the store, you don't have employees asking if you need help. (I realize this could be a plus for some, but I find it annoying to have to walk back to the front for redirection.) Positives: +I always find the girl w/the short hair in the print department very helpful and friendly... Even when she's clearly busy. The guy who has helped me there also tends to be nice, but I've worked w/the gal more. +They have cool items in the dollar section ($1, 2, 3 & 5 items really... But I find good buys there). +They have good sale items if you look closely and a rewards program. +They have good business items, like briefcases that are stylish... I've bought at least 2 in the staples stores. (Even if not purchases at this one, this store will get the credit.) Bottom Line- I like this particular Staples store, walking around to find things, and find the print department to be a pleasant customer service experience. read more

Just got off the phone with the copy center after holding for 20 minutes talking to 3 different people. How hard is it to check to see of my order is done?! You do have a brain don't you?! When I left my order the day before, there was NO ONE at the copy center so it's not like they're busy. Staples is an example of a big box store on its way out, just like Office Depot, Office Max, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, etc. If you don't have better prices and your customer service is inferior why would people go to you? Online stores like Amazon are not only cheaper, but honestly they give better service. Warehouse stores only exist for convenience because you need it now. This will be the last time I shop at Staples. Good luck surviving. read more

Staff friendly. Equipment at printing stations slow and antiquated. Used computer station to get online and print docs from my email. Sooooo slow and cost me over $6.00 just to download the document! Total scam! I would suggest sending print jobs directly (via email) to print center and bypassing self stations altogether. read more

The staff here were phenomenal. Paul helped me throughout the whole time in the process of me buying a printer. He was patient with all my questions, was super conscientious about my price range, and offered extra information that would save me money and help me long term. Super cute and friendly I was very impressed with his customer service skill. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I don't normally write a negative comment -- things happen... but when they happen consistently, well, then it just isn't an off day. I ordered same day business cards. I arrived at the store 30 minutes prior to closing, and the girl says, "oh, didn't someone call you? Our machines have been down for a few days." WHAT???? I told her that I called earlier to verify that they would be ready, and no one told me that they could not print. Her big suggestion? Just go to KINKOS, I think that they are open 24 hours. I ordered cards, posters and few other items a few weeks ago. I had a similar problem. I was hoping this was just a one time thing. Nope. No sign of an apology, what can we do to help you? Nothing. I will NOT be using STAPLES ever again. There are just too many other choices - even if I have to drive a ways, at least I won't have to deal with issues and NON-EXISTENT customer service. I have shopped here numerous times and every time I can't ever seem to find any associates on the floor. I always have to wait in the line to ask the cashier to call someone. I was at the store yesterday school shopping and I was adding up the total in my head. The amount was over what I was expecting to pay but I paid and looked at my receipt in the car. Come to find out they overcharged me on numerous items. They had numerous items on sale for $2 but they were ringing up full price. I came back in and told the inventory specialist and he looked like I was irritating his life. He went back and snatched up the price tags and didn't say a word to me until he fixed the transaction he muttered "Here ya go, sorry"... Customer service skills suck. No thanks. read more

I have been coming to this Staples to print things since 2011. Their printing has always been okay for pictures. A few months ago I had printed 100 postcards with my own design and they came out fine. So I went back because I needed to print out 25 more postcards. I brought the same design on a drive and a sample card. The person working there that day said that she was busy and that I should leave a note with what I needed done so she can remember. So she took the drive and copied the jpeg image of the design, I wrote on a note I needed 25 postcards, she said she couldn't give me a price until I pick them up, and I also left the sample postcard that I printed a few months ago from the same staples. When I came back to pick it up today and it was terrible. I am beyond disappointed and don't think I would go back there again. She printed 100 of them on paper and cut them up unevenly, and the color is terrible nothing like the ones I ordered from there a few months ago. Apparently they ran our of postcard paper so they printed it on something similar. I then said I only needed 25 and a different guy said that they can only print 20 or 50, so I ended up getting 50 and paying more. I am beyond disappointed and I would not recommend printing from here again. There is a photo printing shop around the corner from this place on National and Sepulveda with similar prices and they care much more about the quality work that they do for their customers. read more

I went here today to purchase a printer and some ink. Although they, understandably so, are running low on printers due to the interruption in supply chain due to the pandemic, Wyatt a kind, tall, handsome gentleman happily helped us find a wonderful alternative to the printer. And by alternative to the printer, I mean old fashion pen and paper. We found a large selection of wonderful pens from colored to black. These pens glide across the canvas like lilies on pond. Their sharp, concise tips leave the quick drying ink beautifully placed on whatever assignment you may be working on. These pens are perfect for papers, letters, or simply if you are looking for a little something to chew on. In the future, for my paper, office, and printer needs, I will always be headed to this staples. I do live out of town... but theres nothing like a quick 45 minute flight from Sacramento to get easily the best office products around. I'll make sure to call first to make sure Wyatt is working too; otherwise, I would consider my trip worthless. He had exception care for the customer and amazing attention to detail. When the overhead speaker rang and called for help at the registers, none other than Wyatt came sprinting from behind a large box of backpacks to help out. Spectacular sense of urgency. I, myself, manage a Jersey Mikes in Sacramento and would happily employ a man as genuine and empathetic as Wyatt. Keep doing what you're doing! I called to exchange and upgrade an Epson printer purchased on 4/16/18 and the manager was excellent on the phone and reserved the new printer until I got in later in the day.
