This is a terrific Staples store center. I will admit that I purchase many items online these days. However, when I need office supplies in a hurry I go to Staples and they always have everything in stock and at a terrific price. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Yesterday, I was looking for a specific product which I just couldn't find on the shelves. I feel terrible for Mike S. His is a horror story! I and my mom have had the opposite experience, but then we're extremely assertive and hard to ignore. The customer service here is really geared toward people who want to know as little about their puter as possible. Bring in your existing computer and they will tweak it and clean it for free. This is precisely what my mom and I did with her puter, and due to the great job the Staples's staff did, my mom came here to buy her new puter. She got a good price, and has received lots of free help from the staff. I too buy many accessories here. In fact, it's my go-to electronics and computer store in the Desert. Went in for toner for my Brother laser printer. Looked through the section with the Brother toner, and when I couldn't find the one I needed, I asked the girl behind the register. The exchange went something like this: Me: "Hi, I can't seem to locate the toner I need for my printer." Her: "What kind of printer is it?" Me: "Brother." Her: "That would be on aisle 15." Me: "Yeah, I looked on aisle 15, and didn't see the one I need." Her: (Slightly exasperated) "Okay, I'll show you." She comes out from behind the register and walks me over to aisle 15. Her: (Motioning with her hand à la Vanna White) "Here they are." Me: "Yeah, I know. I looked through those." Her: "Oh." (Confused) "Which one did you need?" And then, after discovering that the one I needed wasn't on the shelf (finally!) she did an inventory check and asked someone to go get the specific toner I needed. I had a rush order for 10 signs I needed. When I went to pick them up, 9 were ready but the last one couldn't be done because the laminator had broken. Amy was helping me and contacted the La Quinta store - she said the manager was taking the sign there and would get it done. I said ok and was prepared to come back and get it. Instead, I received a call from Amy who said the store manager would drop it by my house - he did about an hour later. I was totally impressed! Staples has made a loyal customer out of me. I just had the best experience at Staples in Palm Desert off Highway 111. I wish I could give a 10 star rating! Albert did a fantastic job on a print that I had replicated. Believe it or not, the print work Albert did looked better than the original! The color and clarity were amazing. this one star is not for this particular store, although this is where I bought the printer. The printer quit working and after many calls I could return it and receive half the price and have it picked up. It is a large package. First it was scheduled 1 to 5 days. If not picked up call 800333 3330. rescheduled for 4 days later. not picked up. Now they want to schedule for 8 days more. this large package is sitting outside my front door and I want it removed. I cannot return it myself. I am too old and do not have anyone to pick it up and drive it anywhere. Something is terribly wrong here and I thought you all should know. I am in limbo now read more

Great experience! I come here to get the black paper clips often ($1.50/per). Online they seem to be about $10/pack, so I save quite a bit here. One time I had a printer (laser, color) go bad and they were able to switch it out withour any receipt, which I liked. Very helpful people. read more

Been to this location a number of times. Next to 99 cent store and also Fedex office.. for the most part just like any other Staples..decently stocked.....staff helpful.... Would not recommend getting toner or ink from Staples.... way too expensive... can get on eBay Amazon or printpal.com... generic is much more affordable......if u have an HP printer best to get inkjet refills from costco or sams...the membership will pay for itself... read more

Customer "service" at this Staples branch is questionable at best. That is if you enjoy being grudgingly "helped" by snarky Millennial boys. I came in for a simple Staples-branded product. The first warning I should've abandoned ship was the incredibly filthy ladies room, which apparently hasn't been cleaned since the last Millennium. Second was the fact it took 10 minutes to find the product in question because the layout of the store is absolutely hideous, with repetitious products strewn in aisle after aisle on opposite ends of the store. The product I wanted comes in legal and letter sizes. I managed to find the legal-sized version, but the letter size was nowhere in sight. I finally got a grudging Millennial boy to assist me; you would've thought asking him to check the store's stock room was the equivalent of asking him to fly to Mars. I then asked him to check the inventory in the Cathedral City store; once again, this appeared to be a task above his pay grade. "It's fine," I said, surrendering. "I'll just go over there--it'll probably be faster." As I headed out the door, my "helper's" little buddy--King Snark of Cash Registerville--triggered a loud sound effect as editorial comment: "That was easy." Really? Let me tell you what's easy: Writing this review. Never patronizing your store again. Gloating that Office Depot broke up with you. The copy and print center progressively gets worse. It's as if they intentionally want to push customers away from receiving face to face service by not having enough employees to meet customer needs. Ordering my wide format sewing patterns was always a breeze and now it's a hit and miss, the machine is always down and the employees seem too overwhelmed to care about customer service. It's often inconvenient and disappointing. I've found a small business that can meet my needs. read more

I have been going to this Staples for years and I decided to take the time to write this review after seeing the one stars. I own a business and they are almost always stocked on everything I need. Best part is they keep giving me discounts or my biz and they honor other's coupons. Anytime there was a return, I had no problems. The print center is better pricing than Kinkos and everyone there is always trying their best. I think its hard to have a biz with such a turnover of employees, but I really give them credit. Last time I bought a copy machine the employee took so much time explaining everything to me. In a seasonal town such as this, I hate to lose this business, I hope Staples sticks around. read more

It is quit the surprise to go into Staples and have a document scanned to my flash drive and be charged $0.50 a page. No paper, just transfer to the flash drive. A copy is just $0.12. I feel this was way overpriced and not good service. read more

I have used their Easy Tech services for years. I can usually find what i need for office supplies and products, the managers are concerned and helpful. They've saved me a lot of time and understand what kind of help i need with computers and softwares. I got a GREAT deal on a laptop and printer, then had all data transferred. Could not have asked for better customer service from the boys there, especially Rueben for his concern and attention to detail, and Scott for his steady patience. I have paid computer tutors and they are a waste of money. Pay the Easy Tech staff to get what you need, and you'll be money ahead. If you get a virus or problem, don't waste time, get down there for help! read more

DO NOT let these people "fix" your mobile device. They put two screens on my iPhone and it froze up both times to where I couldn't use it at all. I took it somewhere else and they told me that they had screwed up a chip on the mother board that allowed screen access. I ended up having to lay out $500 bucks to get a new phone at Verizon. If you have an issue with your iPhone take it straight to Apple. They will not work on it after a third party has touched it. Or in my case ruined my phone. SENIORS BEWARE...BOYCCOT THIS STORE.I AM 86 YEARS OLD In 2001 I moved from Studio City to work at the ABC Recovery Center in Indio. My position was to direct the Family Program and as such, obtain speakers in the field of recovery. Some were so excellent that it became apparent that we should record them before this valuable information was lost. This effort required purchasing materials every 3 months or so to accomplish our goals. This began a very professional, business relationship with STAPLES that has continued now for 13 years. With supplies running low, I had a friend take me to STAPLES today- (APRIL 13, 2014) for more supplies for another project - to return a defective Cyan Ink Cartridge purchased some while back and to obtain a credit on Ten (10) empty cartridges that they allow a $2.00 a cartridge towards your next purchase. The Manager told me he would take my request for a new Cyan into consideration while I shopped. My purchases totaled $101.37 At the check out counter, the Manager told me I had waited too long to ask for a replacement and the check out girl asked me if I would like to take part in in a survey they were conducting regarding their service and how I was treated. It seems that Staples has adopted a new policy towards their customers the new policy is that they give as little to their customers as possible you can no longer go to the copy center and get a copy .let me give you an example I went to get a copy they told me I had to use the self-serve machines it would be $0.64 for a color copy if I wanted the same color copy at the counter and have the girl do it for me it would cost me $3 there is now an Express fee of $3 to get a the same copy from someone else they said they needed to free up their staff well the whole time I was there trying to get my $0.64 copy out of the self-serve machine I needed the staff who they were trying to free up to help me with the stupid machine so I guess customer service is no longer a thing. Also had to wait 20 min for people to finish using the self serve machines. read more

Let's just say first male employee (who I won't name) to help me was useless...repeatedly gave me wrong info, etc. As I was leaving the store, I came across someone who appeared to be the store manager. Well, she was...I told her about my experience, and she offered to help me. Kim B. was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, easy to talk with, humorous. What she didn't know, she looked up. She spent as much time with me as needed, didn't make me feel rushed, was very price conscious. All around great time experience. Great service. Having missed the shipment deadline next door at Fedex due to lack of any help at the front desk, we brought a big box here instead. Two people behind the counter managed several different customers at once, and cheerfully and helpfully took care of our box as well. And at less cost than Fedex, who could care less if the box was shipped or not. We'll definitely be bringing our company's printing and shipping needs here. read more

After walking around Staples looking for an employee to help me, l finally found one near the loading area. Just outside that door I asked the manager, Amy, where I could find the canned air. She told me the display was near the laptops but the boxes were empty so if I knew how many I wanted I should just go to the checkout and they can give them to me there. I looked at the display and was happy to find they had a special-- buy 1 for $9.99 & get one free. I then went to the checkout and waited a long time before I got to the cashier, Tyler. I requested the canned air "buy one get one" deal. He nervously told me that he could not sell the item to me because they were locked away because people huff them and the only manager on duty with a key, Amy, was too busy (loading or unloading a truck-- I don't recall which) to unlock the cabinet to sell me the canned air. I told him I had spoken to Amy and she was the one who told me to just go to checkout to get the item. I impressed on him my disbelief that the manager would not unlock the cabinet to make a sale. I asked him to go get her. He stepped away for a few minutes and then came back with the same reply. I then left the store and will never spend money at another Staples again. Had some flyers printed up and the staff was friendly. Unlike fedex next door they were cheaper too. I would recommend this store just because of the friendly people. I probably wouldn't buy a printer or PC there because I think there's better deals at other stores. But all and all I accomplish what I needed to do. read more
