I have had great experiences printing things at this staples. You email the files you need printed to them, they instantly receive it and print it while you wait. If you bring your own labels, black and white comes out to $0.25 per sheet. The price increases for color and if you use their labels. You can also drop off Fed Ex items at the Staples. Awful experience--The Salesperson in the Printer department was not truthful. He baited and switched me on a Brother printer. When I asked for the latest model, he sold me an older model.I only found this out when I got home after lugging the printer from the store to my house and up a flight of stairs. The salesperson also told me that the printer comes with a little ink, so I need to buy new cartridges. This was also untrue the INk cartridges were fully loaded. I called the store at 8:30 am on Memorial Day to see if they were open The recording said we are currently open until 9 pm today and then pressed 1 to hear store hours and the recording said the same thing open at 8 am I arrived at the store at 8:45 and walked in and a VERY rude employee at the register said the store is closed I explained that the phone had two recordings that they open at 8 and the front door was unlocked He proceeds to say "don't you see the sign on the door says open at 9" Why would anyone driver there to read the sign if the recording said 8 I asked if I could drop something off to be picked up another time and he kept Saying "the store is closed" HORRIBLE customer service He shouldn't be working ... She is well-qualified, as a technical person. They were both excellent to speak with. Molique was helpful, too, but I did not have as much time to speak with him. I really get some great deals on paper and other things at this store. The employees are excellent. Jack M. (x5) is always personable, helpful, knowledgeable, efficient and positive. Recently, Ryan most most helpful, patient, courteous, efficient and a real gentleman. He loaded 3 large boxes of paper into my car, without hesitation. Most inefficient staples store I ever visited: - i ordered a poster and on Friday, paid $93.00 to be shipped to dallas to be used on Tuesday. I was told it would be there next day Saturday by 5pm. Incidentally i went to hair cut at the same stripe mall, route 17 south. I went to staple to double check and the staff said: "oh, looks like it didn't go". No apology no call no news of the delay. - today I went to print lunch menu, the girl in print shop had no clue. No one around to help, no to mention the line is very long and only one person working and 6 others giggling and walking around. Horrible horrible service. read more

This place sends up red flags. I just don't know....and neither does the staff apparently. Every time I walk in they redo the place so I don't remember where anything is. I would rather spend 10 minutes walking around looking than asking since most of the people there are incompetent. The place is just a downer to walk into. Absolute ridiculous. I went into the shipping department tonight to get prices on shipping two boxes. "Jack" there, an older person, claimed he could not give me a price with out doing the whole transaction. UTTER laziness, or total ignorance of what he can and can NOT do. I've been to the other Staples in the area and they have always given prices for shipping with out having to ship the item. Any shipping center understands that this is a normal part of business that people need to know a cost of shipping before shipping out. TAKE YOUR DAMAGED SMARTPHONE HERE! Twice I have been to this Staples with my younger brother after his phone had sustained some damage. He had heard about the phone repair service at Staples so we went, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The greatest part though was that his phone was fixed not once, but twice! It's also very affordable compared to hastily replacing a phone or sending it to the manufacturer. The first time we went, he had somehow smashed his phone screen, so we brought it in and after a little bit of evaluating the helpful employee said that he'd do his best and to come back in 24 hours. We came back the next day and the screen was replaced and the phone was working perfectly! The second time we came in was just recently; he had run his phone under the sink (I don't know why) and it was visibly water damaged and not operating properly. They placed it into the water damage machine and after about 30 mins the phone was working like new. Of course, not everyone will have salvageable phones, but they are always courteous and it's worth a shot. It's also a comfortable place to go that provides a happy medium between getting a phone repaired through apple/verizon etc. or a hit-or-miss mall kiosk. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in 2 weeks ago, and bought $100 worth of ink. They tried to run my debit card, but I was told the systems were down. So, I paid $100 in cash. The next day I realized the money had also been deducted through my debit card. So, now Ive paid $200 and cannot get a refund. Even though I've showed the GM my bank statement confirming the deduction, I've been told he can't give me a refund because they can't find it in their system! Ive called the store several times, and received a call from their offices in SC that my account would be refunded. It's 2 weeks later and nothing! I'm getting very frustrated. Even with my statement that clearly shows the debit, they can't "confirm" that there was an actual transaction. Last time I will shop there. read more

After being told by the Staples store in Hackensack, NJ that they "ran out of paper" for instant in-store business cards and had no idea when they would receive more, I was completely frustrated since I need emergency business cards for an event in a few days. Staples running out of "paper" is like McDonald's running out of french fries--insanely bad for business and unfathomable to a customer! There was a pricing glitch in the ordering on the Staples website for business cards and, after wrestling with it for too long, I called the Copy/Print Center at the Staples in Paramus at 557 N. State Rt.17. I spoke to a wonderfully patient, pleasant and knowledgeable young lady in the Copy/Print Center who tried to help me during multiple calls to bypass the glitch. She never showed any frustration or annoyance at the fact that I called her repeatedly. After reaching an acknowledged dead end for both of us, she suggested I come in, if possible, and offered to do everything possible to help in person. So, I drove a bit further than I wanted but ended up with her helping me polish my design and offering general business support while we completed the order. She was helpful, gracious, funny and respectful throughout. I'm sure that I have had very few customer service experiences in my lifetime that come anywhere near this one. She assures me that my business cards will be ready on Monday morning, which will save the day for me. She also honored a large discount on the printing that I was due even though my email coupon would not provide the proper code. I would love to give her name but am not sure that she will like that so I just encourage you to visit the copy center and tell her that you heard that she helped a very distressed woman navigate the Staples business card ordering glitch. I'm sure she will impress you with the same "sparkling" service that I received. Staples is very lucky to have her!! read more

They moved to the new location, it's smaller than their old store, so naturally they do not stock as much as they used to have at their other location. This can be a bit frustrating, but they do offer ship to home for anything they don't have in stock. I've done this a few times before and my order has come the next day and for free which is very nice. read more

I just returned from shopping at Staples, and was originally very satisfied with the customer service there. I'd wanted to purchase a box of 25 folders that I found on their website, and when I learned I'd have to order them, a sales associate said she would sell that quantity of individual folders at the box price (but only after trying to sell me the individual folders at the individual, higher rate). She assisted me at the checkout and adjusted prices accordingly to give me the quantity rate. However, I noticed that when she rang up a ream of paper that I'd picked up from a large pile at the front of the store with a prominent sale tag, the ream came up at full price. (Actually, it rang up as higher than the advertised full price.) I was told that no, this type of paper wasn't the sale item, so she got a different package elsewhere. All throughout the store there were large displays of the paper I originally picked up, with sale signs on every one, so any unsuspecting customer who doesn't check the price at checkout will be overcharged for this paper. It's not even as though the sale sign was a mobile sign; it was part of a fixed display with dozens of reams. UNACCEPTABLE! Additionally, after my sale was complete, I checked my receipt only to find that two other items I'd bought rang up at prices higher than their shelf tags. I double-checked the prices, then asked for my money back. I was told that yes, this happens, and sometimes it means that the prices are about to go up. I highly doubt it. This isn't the first time I've been taken for a ride by Staples and charged prices higher than the posted prices; it actually happens most times that I shop there. Out of six small items purchased today, I was overcharged for three! I was overcharged a total of $4.85, and though that doesn't seem like much, if that happens to even half the people who shop at that store, they're making a bundle off of unsuspecting customers. Staples has quite a little racket going. I will definitely think twice about shopping there again, and if I ever do, I'll be sure to check every price. I'll also be sure to spread the word to everyone I know that they should expect to be cheated when they shop there. read more

One of the WORST stores in this chain! Ever since it opened it has been poorly/understaffed and don't think for a minute you'll find anyone on the floor to offer assistance. The store they closed on route 17 North in Paramus, NJ was far better managed than this location. On Saturday I went there at about 11am. All staff members were in the front of the store. I needed to purchase ink cartridges so went to that area of the store. After spending 5 minutes trying to determine which was the exact one that matched the info I had with me I decide that perhaps I should have some help from someone that works there and would (supposedly) know more. Fat chance! The 1 person that seemed be available to help customers stationed himself at the front of the store. And getting his attention to try and get help in the ink cartridge department required going the front of the store to get his attention while he helped 2 other customers (that arrived after me). Guess it would've helped had I been a female. I walked out. They lost a sale that would've totaled well over $100. Guess they can afford to lose customers. I then tried to call the same store to speak with the manager. I was on hold 7 minutes before anyone answered the call. NEVER AGAIN! AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. read more
