A key on my laptop broke. I brought my device to Staples in Smithfield, and a tech person (a woman) told me I would need to order a new key. I asked "how do I do that?" Amazingly, she printed out a form for me with how to order the key. I went online and placed the order. The cost with shipping was approximately $10. The "tech lady" also suggested I buy a freestanding keyboard so I could continue working on my computer, and I did. HERE IS THE PROBLEM ... I brought my laptop in to have the "letter e" key fixed, and the woman at Staples said it couldn't be fixed b/c there was no "underneath part" to the key. Not sure why the key I paid $10 for didn't have the underneath part. I asked if we could take the "underneath part" of another key. For example, I have two keys with the "plus" sign on them. She said no. Here's the bottom line: I will never shop at any Staples store ever again, and look, I have spent A LOT OF MONEY at Staples over the years. I have also sent emails to my friends and colleagues about this. We are going to shop at Target rather than Staples for now on. read more

We came here to return something by ups. I've been here many times from making a purchase to shredding services. The store has good deals and variety and many services, including print and lamination. I found the prices are generally good and below comparable stores. My mother needed help emailing labels so they could print them out and they were helpful and patient. Good service and management in general. read more

I love this freaking place , love love love love ! I have been here over 10 times and now I am writing a review not sure why late, but let's do this! I come here for the printing services and they go above and beyond their job always and if I could give tips I would be giving them some pretty dollars. They offer many printing services, they have a computer there for you to use , copy machines , fax machines , they also offer there own services if you need numerous things printed. I work from home and this place helps me when it comes to packaging my materials ( cheap prices on packaging materials ). I also print my shipping labels here I think each page is only .11 - .13 cents each page and it's good paper. My boxes are always on sale all different sizes if you buy 5 or more you get an even greater sale! I also ship with USPS when it comes to my packages and they have drop off services for not only USPS but also ups !!!! The workers here are amazing , very helpful , and patient ! They helped me numerous times with my issues and this is the easiest place for me to go to! I do sales online so when I need to print out labels , but packaging and ship all my stuff I can do it all here all at one shot. And when I need help the associates are always available for help, there's usually more than 1 customer in this section as well because it gets busy and fast. This store it self is also very clean and there's always help around which I love so much. The manager comes over all the time as well to greet you and check on how you're doing. When asked to the cashier If they provide Fax Services she responded I don't know you have to go the business desk- Really? You work here at don't know I blame Management for not training her properly. When I went to the Business Section- Employees were more concerned talking then helping this customer. Finally someone asked If I needed help - Pointed out where the fax machines were did not offer help in how they work. I figured out myself $5.00 a page is what they charge. When the fax machine did not work I told the employee who was just talking responded Oh ok and then continued there conversation. Management needs to better improve on customer service. I come in here pretty often because I work right in the plaza. The service is ok. I recently came in to buy a p-touch replacement tape and even though I had the manual, the associate sold me the wrong one. When I went back in, the associates on were super friendly and helpful but it was inconvenient to have to come back twice. Today I came in to use the fax, which is self serve, but I needed assistance with another service and the associate wanted me to just cash out at the other registers and did not ask if I needed help. She did seemed rushed and was working on another project for a customer but her attitude could have been a little bit better. read more

The Copy Center woman rudely informed us that there were other people waiting who were not there and that it would take half an hour for a print job. I would highly recommend avoiding this staples unless necessary. Staff are rude. Self service machine was overpriced compared to other Staples in this area. I went in for free pc tuneup and left with a big bill! It is a big gimmick! They get you in then scare you into all these fixes they say are a must or of course buy a new computer. After taking the computer home it ran no better, if I knew they were going to just stick a fix all disk becuase they really do not know what they are doing I would have went somewhere else!
