So we came here for some TSA pre-check thing a few months ago and that was a giant sh*t show... but our first thought when it was at a Staples was, "How are these office supply stores still around?" So fast forward to today, our daughter has been on the hunt for NeeDohs and she claimed she saw that they had them at Staples. (???) Anyways, they are not available at any Staples stores despite it saying "pick up in 30 minutes." While walking around the store, I was shocked that Party City was now inside Staples. Went to Staples to purchase ink (you know office supplies). Well it is a no longer an office supply store. It is a Party City, Amazon return, etc. with ZERO help anywhere. This store used to be GREAT with awesome help, but those days are long gone. I won't be shopping here any more. Also their lines for Amazon returns are ridiculous because they don't have the staff to man them, one lady for all the returns. I was there for office supplies, and there was no help or recognizable staff to check you out for that side of the business either. I have no idea how they plan to sell balloons. read more

There is no customer service at this location. They were having quite the conversation amongst themselves. I was trying to drop off an amazon return and asked where I needed to go all I got was a finger point. The young man who took my return never even looked at me and the only word he said was "code" as I was getting the QR code pulled up on my phone. I go to the Staples location in Webster at least once a month. Not some, not most, but every time one associate gets my attention. His name is Anthony. He is consistently focused on customer service whether it be Staples or Amazon customers - making sure they're in the right line and thanking them for coming in are just two examples. He even focuses on his fellow associates lending an unsolicited helping hand. I've never seen him being idle or disengaged. Anthony makes my visits to Staples pleasant. Thank you, Anthony! read more

Visited the Staples store in Webster, TX on 12/28 looking for a gaming/computer chair for my son. They did not have the color he wanted on the floor, but the associate looked the item up in his system and assured me they did have this particular color in stock online and would be at my house in 2-3 days. I placed the order and paid. Before I could even get home, I received an email saying the item was out of stock and a refund would be provided soon and to check my email for details. I wanted until 12/30 and inquired via email on the status of my refund. I was told the charge would take 3-5 business days to drop off. Not seeing any activity on my account and it now being 1/10, I again, inquired via email about the status. I received a response now saying I would receiving a refund check in 7-10 business days. Today, 1/11, I phone a customer service rep and was told that because I used a kiosk in store and used a debit card, they could not refund the card nor would the charge drop off as stated on the email. The CSR stated the check was mailed on 12/28 so it should be arriving any day now based on the 7-10 business days. A.) the employee at the store obviously didnt know what he was doing -AND- -OR- the website wasnt updated to show the item being out of stock and let me process the order B.) Was told the charge would DROP OFF and never did C.) not being told that a check would be issued because I used a debit card This is either a negligence/lack of training on company refund policy and online ordering or deceptive business practice. I went to this Baybrook location for a little education on a photo printers' ink cartridges before buying several to stock up. As a few employees milled around the registers chatting, seemingly uninterested in helping me. No greeting as I passed employees upon entering the store. Said employees were merely feet away so I called out for help. A young man in a pony tail, named Dylan, reluctantly trudged over. Things went downhill from there. I was made to feel uncomfortable and unappreciated as a paying customer while this young man laughed and repeatedly repeated himself as if I were an idiot. The hard stares by employees within earshot was not lost on me as I made a quick exit. I ended up at Best Buy, same parking lot, to purchase the ink cartridges and ended up buying a new printer. Made a visit today to edit and make copies for my son valentines party this month. The pricing for black and white copies are 15 cents and 25 for colored. Which is cheaper than most places around the area. Customer serrrrrrvice? Yea I didn't get any. I had to wait (only customer) at counter to ask what's wrong with the self copy machine. Which was out of order (no visible sign stating that) but the machine asks for money as if it works! The two ladies that were visible was kinda busy. The computer charges 30 mins a min while in use and 140 for colored print. I just made adjustment to my email and printed it out. Which was $4.30. The computer is really slow. read more

I go to Staples for all my office supply needs. Granted, I don't have a whole lot of office supply needs but when I need some printer paper, labels, business card stock, or storage boxes I always visit my local Staples. Since Staples is a fairly recent addition to the Clear Lake area it's still shiny and new and everything is nice and clean inside. I like this place because everything is easy to find. I hate when I have to walk around a store for 20 minutes trying to find something really simple that was put in a really odd spot. I like things to be logical. My only issue with Staples is that they don't actually sell the Easy button there. What kind of crap is that? Part of the reason I shop there is because its been embedded in my mind that shopping at Staples makes everything easy thanks to their clever marketing. On August 26th(saturday) I bought 2 printers in Greenville Texas. The sales person, Brennan stated I could take them home and just plug them in. In addition I used Affirm for over $654 and the first horror was my sale was converted to Pay Pal and it overdrafted my bank account by this HUGE Amount (even though I rushed 40 miles roundtrip to get their mistake corrected. 'Jasmine', the woman said she was "a Manager" but she never once ever Aplogised for this huge set of problems (it getting on my Pay Pal acct instaed of Affirm and I had to rush back on Sunday back to the store to get a credit and get it repaid thru Affirm. Come Monday Morning the credit she supposedly put through failed and it overfrafted my Alliance Banlk account. I had to rushe to town to Commerce now and plead with the bank personne; to believe me (which they did not at first) as the credit slip did not matter, only what electronically happened. Next I rused home to speak with Pay Pal and got some sensibility on my side and they blamed Staples. I was charged processing fees to correct the mistalke Staples charged me. I spent hours and hours and only got one printer to work with grat difficulty...lasting hours to set up not as the Staples sales agent stated. Here it is Tuesday and I am having a terrible time even with the hlp of a computer person to get this Epason to print from y computer. Staples does not help. You are on your own even though I spend money on a 4 year insurance agreement for both printers. The other one was a Brother Lazer printer. Now I am sitting here because my computer friend gave up for the night and she had to go home. My legal briefs will not have been completed after 4 days of efforts.Every day justoce is delayed is justoce denied. At Least I got a wonderful Staples lady on an 600 number who lidstened patiently and will refund my $41.55 in fees Pay Pal and the Bank was Charging me. Her name was Ms Brown and she intimated that Ms Jasmine would receive a talk about at least saying a courteous "Sorry" when such a problem arises. Thank goodness for Ms. Julie Brown. I just pray my Epson printer gets connected and I can proceed with my legal documents for businesses and court. Remember everyone, check inti=o the Deceptive Trade Practice Act when companies dont perform as they state they are going to, or they provide a defective product or otherwise violate a provision of the State of Texas law. And IN TEXAS, one can recover $20,000 in a Small Claims Court case. People can go into court by yourself and get things taken care of and teach companies they need to do the right thing, supply working machines and be treated with respect and honesty. read more

I rarely go to this location to print out my shipping labels for packages I need to mail out, but when I do, there's usually people who help me but today was not it. I went into the store to use the printer to print some labels and usually afterwards the employee there usually have tape for me to use. Well today, when I asked for some, this old lady said all they had was scotch tape (not the packaging one) but the small thin tape. So I used it to tape the shipping label for a package that was over $3,000 in value. Since it was small I needed to use the tape multiple times to make sure the label won't get damage or come off during transit since it isn't packaging tape. Just as I was about to leave, the old woman says "I think that's enough tape don't you think" with a very rude tone and glared at me. I just said "yes ma'am" I was just about to leave and she looked at me and rolled her eyes. The customer service here has really gone down and sure believe me I wont be returning to this location any time sooner. So I just moved from Reno Nevada to the Webster area. In Reno Staples was my office. My husband and I are in the trucking industry we use Staples to help us keep our business going. With 6 Bigg Riggs and 12 employees it has been hard getting our home office set up and going so I was really excited to see the Staples really close to our new home. Yesterday 9/29/14 was my 2nd day in Texas and my 1st trip to the new Staples. The girl "Regina" I think in the copy center was very rude. She did not greet me, she rang my up with out a word, no eye contact, she just gave me my total took my money and put my receipt and change on the counter top and walked away. Upon leaving I expressed my concerns to the Manager and he said he was sorry that happened and he would speak with her. Today 9/30/14 I went to fax in payroll and she refused to even ring me up. She told me that someone could ring me up at the other registers and then she proceeded to help the guy behind me. WTF!!!!!!!!!! Then Edgar didn't even know what he was doing at the register. He didn't even know how to ring up my faxes and questioned why she sent me to him. I really miss my staples in Reno....... Last year alone we spent over $20,000 at our Reno staples with office supplies, school supplies, furniture, ink, computers, printers, etc. In the last 5 year we averaged about $12,000 a year at Staples. This has been so disappointing for me. I now have to find an Office Depot or God forbid a UPS Store. Everything is Bigger in Texas except Customer Service at Staples. read more

I bought an office chair from Staples last year and also at the same time bought a breakage policy from a company called Asurion. The chair broke recently and I took it back to Staples for replacement. The store took the chair but informed me I had to file a claim with this crooked company. The store Mgr. and girls at the desk were very helpful and at the store the claim was filed. This company sent me a notice that the claim would be processed in 3 to 5 days. After a month I received a notice that it was not approved because I did not donate a broken chair to a company or business of their choice. The store where I bought it gave me a letter stating they had taken in the chair and disposed of it. As far as I am concerned This should meet the requirements but no. Please be aware of this Company and their scams to defraud anyone taking out their worthless policy. Remember the name of "Ausrion" and beware!!! The store and workers are great and I will continue to shop there but will be darned careful about breakage policies. read more

I used to shop at Office Depot, for 13 years, and decided to try Staples because Office Depot quality has gone down and their employees barely help you and know nothing about the products. I ordered an office chair from Staples Office Supply in Webster, TX on Friday, 1/4/19. The receipt showed the chair would be delivered on Monday, the 7th. I received a text on Monday (the 7th) advising the delivery would be made on Tuesday, the 8th. They never showed up, and the tracking website reviewed this morning (1/9/19) shows: 1/8/19 8:11 pm cosignee closed, business closed. The delivery was to be made to my house, not to a business, and furthermore, I was sitting in front of my open living room door, waiting for the truck to show up. I called to check on the status of my order 3 times, beginning at 4:30pm, but no one could tell me where my delivery was. Needless to say, it never came, and I am home again, today, wasting another day waiting for my delivery. I called Staples this morning to let them know that when the chair is delivered, I will be returning it to their store (along with the other items I bought) for a full refund. Staples picked the worst rated company to deliver my chair, and for that, I chose NEVER to do business with Staples again. It's a matter of principal!! Stores want our business, but when they don't have the item in stock, they try to make us happy by offering us free delivery. No problem with that, but when they hire inferior companies like Hackbarth who obviously don't care about customers, it's inexcusable! Of all delivery services to pick from (UPS, FED EX, LONE STAR, etc), why did they select such an obscure company? I've never EVER heard of Hackbarth, and I've certainly never seen them in my city. I'm wondering if this was the cheapest courier around for hire?? I live in Galveston, which is about 40 miles outside of Webster. Is it just that my city is too far to deliver to? The way I see it, if I can drive 40 miles to shop in your store, you should be happy to drive 40 miles to deliver my purchase, in order to win and keep me as a customer. So.......Staples, you lose my business forever! And, for those of you who think ordering online is the way around this, there's still no guarantee that a cheap cut-rate courier like Hackbarth wont be hired to deliver your orders! I have shopped at Staples for several years and really did like the store. However, I have bought two laptops there and have been very dissappointed in the computer service. I currently have a laptop waiting for a repair part that was ordered at least three months ago. I get no response, satisfaction, and very little in the way of an answer from the computer department regarding the replacement part. In addition, they charged me a little over $150.00 to download all my files from a computer that they have not been able to fix, telling me they could reinstall the files after the computer was repaired. WORST experience EVER! I have never written a negative feedback response, but I was so frustrated with the situation I went through the trouble of making an account just to warn others of how poor of an idea it is to choose to do business with staples. I ordered an Amazon echo from staples, and the site, email, and a call with a customer service representative assured me I would receive my package wishing the next 3 days. When I called back after that time period to find where my package was or my tracking information, they said they didn't even process the order because they had to "verify" my information. So I gave them what they asked, and they told me it would be there in a day or so. Then the next morning I got an email saying there was a WEEK delay, and this was supposed to be a birthday gift! All they did was keep repeating the information I already knew and did not provide any solution other than a 15 dollar discount. I was put on hold for over half an hour, to find out the item was "out of stock" NOT AS ADVERTISED ON THEIR SITE! Ive spent almost 3 hours in total on the phone with customer service with NO result other than an offer of a mere 15 dollar discount for all my trouble.
