On Friday, I booked a move for today 10/19, 1-3 PM. At 12:16 PM Melvin called stating a driver would be reaching out to me soon. Melvin called back at 2:46 and said "yeah our guys are just backed up right now and won't be able to get to you until some hours, can you take a priority move for tomorrow?". After I said I could not, Melvin stated he was going to reach out to his "sister company" to get additional assistance. At 2:52 Edward called and casually stated "This is Edward, we'll be there in an hour". At 4:31 I called Melvin back and asked him what was the update with the sister company. He stated "let me call them and see". He called back less than 2 minutes later and casually said "yea our guys had an emergency on the way to you nobody is going to be able to move you today." This company treated me as if I was the problem when I paid for a service they were not able to render. Melvin knew at 2:46 PM they were not going to provide services, yet kept me waiting hoping I would settle for a "priority move" Monday. They were not apologetic about inconveniencing me, letting me know they do not think they are replaceable.

First they'll come at least…read more1-2 hours late then they will begin complaining that the furniture is too heavy and they may not be able to lift it up to the next location. Next they'll will break your furniture in front of you and tell you that the it was previously broken and they will document it. Then they'll give up on dismantling furniture and make their customer help them with dismantling the furniture. I think this company is great at doing half ass jobs so keep that in mind when you hire this company if you are brave enough. They also held all of my furniture in there truck and drove off threatening to take my stuff unless I removed my original review

    I had scheduled this company to move me on Friday 02/12/2021. The mover confirmed my appointment…read moredays in advance. The day of my move, my mover is a no show. Instead, I get calls from other movers, that I did not know, asking me information about me move. I was confused as to what was going on, because I did not give them my information. I was calling my mover and he was not answering my call. Finally, after several attempts to reach my mover, he answer my call. He told me not to pay the other movers, because they are not horning his agreement with them (they were not suppose to be charging me more than he was). He told me the reason why he didn't come was because of the rain, he cannot move during the rain because of insurance reasons, but these other movers could. He told me that he would move me the next morning by 8AM and he would give me a 10% discount due to the inconvenience. I was extremely upset. I felt blind sided, he gave my information to 3rd parties that I did not authorize he to do so, and He did not give me a heads up that he wasn't going to make it. I had to cancel my appointment with my cleaner who was suppose to come after my movers left. It was such a HUGE inconvenience and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I was in a bind so I agreed to let me move me the next day. The next day comes, he's late he gets there like 8:30/9AM. He gets to my apartment and says oh this is going to be more than I originally quoted you because you have so much stuff (when I first talked to him, I told him how much stuff I had to move, so IDK why he was so shocked as to my items, he clearly doesn't pay attention). (I am desperate at this point because I have to be out of my apartment by Sunday, and he comes on a Saturday, so time is dwindling down!) So, I ask what is my bottom line, and is the 10% discount included in the price? He looks at me, turns around and leaves my apartment, as he is mumbling something under his breath. He left and did not provide me with an explanation as to why he was leaving. My anxiety is going through the roof at this point. I had to find movers at the last minute and pay more because of this inconvenience he put me through. Please do not use this company for your move. Pay more for professional movers. You do not want to be in the position this company put me in. I beg of you, it's not worth it, a piece of mind doesn't have a price tag to it. I was under extreme pressure due to their unprofessional to get moved AT THE LAST MINUTE!!!! I will be filling a complaint with the BBB. They should never be allowed to move anyone else. Completely unprofessional in my opinion. I'm so happy that II did not give them a deposit. Thank God, I could find movers at the last minute, and the nightmare is finally over. Moving is a pain, but don't go into cardiac arrest dealing with Ultimate Movers and Storage, complete garbage!

The moving company didnt show up the original date. I had to wait the next day. I have spoke with "Alex" 7134263222 several times trying to resolve issues that occurred during the move. My pottery barn sectional was stained, my stainless steel refrigerator is scratched and dented. I was over charged for labor. I was told I had to pay before the move was over because the office was closed and if I didn't pay. "Alex" was going to stop the movers and take my belongings that were still in the truck. I went with a more expensive moving company expecting a better experience than I did. I immediately contacted Alex via phone to tell him about my damages and overcharges now he is not accepting responsibility nor reimbursing me for the overcharged labor or any damages. He is trying to say my sectional was "stained" not damaged. Hmm that is damaged. And what about my brand new refrigerator it looks now like I bought it at a dent and scratch. Most importantly how are you not going to reimburse someone after you admittedly overcharged them? BE WARE ANY ONE THAT USES THIS COMPANY IT IS NOT SAFE OR PROFESSIONAL. I think he was trying and did take advantage of me because I'm a tiny little woman. I wish I would have saw the yelp review already filing a complaint with the same issues I had, before I used them. I did google review. I would just like to pay for the actual labor I received and get my Reimbursed overcharges back. I have left this review before but want to keep it active so people are aware of SCAM and to look at other people's reviews in google and yelp that pretty much had the same type of experience if he uses different company names I would google search his number just to be on the safe side. And it was your movers that initialed the contract because the total hours to move was not accurate on the contract and it was me that asked the movers to correct the actual time it took and initial the corrections But I don't expect a honest reply or answer from you after having to deal with you and your company.

I hired this company based off their rate and nothing more. This was my first mistake. I should have read more into the reviews and dug into the company with the BBB and such. I wanted them to move my mother's thing into a storage room, as she was moving out to another home at a later time. I told them how many rooms, and told them I needed it all packed in boxes and plastic wrapped. I was quoted around $1,200.00 for it all. I thought that was a very good price due them not even seeing how much. We budgeted that money, and were ready to go. Well, I will stop there. I will let you read the email I sent to owner (Santos) and the sales rep (Alex) asked for some type of reimbursement for all poor work they did. - Start of Email- Dear Alex, Thank you again for trying to help us resolve all the issues we had with your company. We know that you guys want to make it right and have a good image for years to come. Please allow me to give you the list of all the issues we have had with the moving team you sent us, and at the end we will let you know what we would like to ask of you to make it right. Pictures will be attached. 1) I asked Alex for their best team and gave them over a week notice. This did not happen. The lead driver was 18 years, other was 16, and the guy that did not speak English was 47. It made it very difficult to communicate with them when asking them questions. 2) We requested the moving team to show up between 8-9am.. They showed up at 9:30am due to flat tires ... But was called at 9:05am about being 20 min late. 3) 40% of the time the other two stood around while the 18 year old did the wrapping for the items to be moved. He was sweating all over our stuff while he was using his body to hold things in place while he solo wrapped our belongings. 4) No mask or gloves at all while on site. No offer to wear any too. 5) They had no idea how to move mattresses. Mattress was bent in half when moving it. 6) Layed bed frame in against windows and blinds, damaging blinds and scratching windows in home. 7) One of them was on their phone watching YouTube while the others worked. 8) They had no care on how they handled our stuff until I complained to Alex about this. 9) We were charged 10.00 for each USED, dirty, and damaged moving blanket. 10) The 16 year old over used packing supplies... Used our rolls of tape too. 11) We paid for mattress bags as our beds would be moved to storage. They damaged the bags by putting holes in them. The response is we need to make holes in them in order to move them. They laughed at me when I told them "what's the point of it being a mattress bag if there is holes in them" 12) This may be standard, but they charge you 65.00 to come to your location to start. And change you 95.00 to clean their truck out (even if it was only 30% full... All boxed and sealed) We are requesting a refund off all packing materials and two hour refund of labor for a total of no less than $500.00 Please let us know how you would like to proceed. - End- The company did not offer to do anything about it. Santos said they would have our insurance company look into. Nothing was ever done. We even tried to dispute it with our credit card company, and they pushed their eligible contract back at us. PLEASE PLEASE use caution if you choose to hire this company. Besafe, and think about just moving the stuff yourself or friends.

They went over the moving/shipping process, covered costs, and reassured my uncle that there was extreme care placed into the items being moved. After sorting out all the details, we set a date for the move. Upon arrival, the staff of Sunset assessed my uncle's belongings. There were very important pieces that required specific care such as the piano and the marble dining table. They kept open communication with us as they packed everything, making sure we were on board with the process. Once everything was packed, we thanked the moving crew for their attention to detail with my uncle's belongings. But you know what the best part is? When you reopen the packaged belongings and find that everything was in the same condition before the whole move. My uncle called me, saying he was extremely satisfied with Sunset!

To conclude all our Items arrived with no damage and on the estimated date, We used the trucking on there website and we were contact a few times by Mina who kept updated from the first call. They were extremely polite and professional and I am so happy I called Sunset International Shipping I will never use another company.
