Convenient location makes it easy to hop, skip, and jump from other stores in the area (such as Michael's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Costco). We were on the hunt for wedding invitation stationary and found Staples as a reasonable contender for the particular look we were going for. Some of the stuff we will have them print, some we will print from home. For that reason, we needed to take a look at the different types of paper they offer. At the print desk, they have a couple of booklets with samples of different papers, with their weight, color, and so on. Only a few aisles over, they have their stationary, printing paper, and cardstock. They had quite a bit of selection, including multi-packs of different colors. However, we later saw that they had more paper (for things like resume writing) in a different area, which would have been helpful when we were comparing different options. Additionally, the inkjet ivory paper we ended up buying for our at-home projects was damaged and the packaging was torn. The other ream of the same paper looked the exact way. When we asked if they had more in the back that wasn't torn open and the paper inside damaged, we were told no, that's all they had. We were never offered a discount, even though it was apparent that some of the pages would be unusable, and it may not have been a full ream. Staples is not cheap, but they do provide the materials and machinery we needed to create our wedding stationary. read more

I was in and out of this Staples in like 5 minutes because I knew what I wanted and didn't look around the rest of the store. This store seems like it's a fairly new store because the asphalt outside the store is newly paved and the parking lot lines are freshly painted, but I could be wrong. From the time that I was in the store, it looked clean and well organized. The guy who was at the cashier was friendly and processed our items quickly and efficiently. For this trip, we bought two reams of the the Staples brand multipurpose paper for $0.50 after rebate. After rebate, the two reams cost $1.75 including tax, which is not refunded. HOT TIP: One of the best things about Staples is that you can apply for your rebates ONLINE! It's so much easier than having to fill out a form by hand, then use snail mail!!! Xie Xie!! read more

Or the end dries out because I don't use it that often maybe five times a year. He explained to me the warranty policies. Very accurate right to the point and very professional. Went in for printing services. Once printed the top didn't match the bottom. When asked to cut I was told there would be a $3/per cut "cutting charge". I know there is a difference between a company trying to make money and Customer Service and I feel this is an example of where company profits were so far ahead of Customer Service that as a human being it was insulting. What's next, an entry charge because you had to pay electricity to open the automatic doors? Sometimes not everything need a fee and it should be done to simply be a helpful person and this was an example of minimal time (a few extra seconds) being requested. At the rate of $3/per cut and a few seconds it would equal $2,100/hour if it took a full 5 seconds to cut. You tell me...Reasonable?!? read more

We are so incredibly grateful for the staff at Staples in West Springfield, Massachusetts. They couldn't be more helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a local medical center and have remained open to serve the emergent outpatient medical needs of the West Springfield community. Like so many medical centers across the country, many of our supplies were back-ordered. We were having trouble locating some of the products to help disinfect our office. I bought three items online: a desk, a chair, and a floor mat. During pick up I specifically asked a manager if I could return the items in-store if anything was missing pieces. I finally get around to setting everything up and surprise, surprise... the chair is missing pieces. I call the store, explain the situation, and end up being transferred back and forth between multiple people, each time having to re-explain the situation. They ask for the SKU and UPC which they can't find in their system. "We don't sell that here. Are you sure you bought it here?" Gave them my invoice number. Couldn't find it in the computer. Finally someone gets on the phone and tells me to come in; they will return it in store and I can pick out a different chair. Great! I load it up and drive 20 minutes there. I come into the store and head to the register. I ask the woman where I can return an item. She says "are you the chair girl?", and she calls over a manager. 15 minutes later and one finally comes over. He looks in the computer again for the SKU, UPC, and invoice number. Still can't find it. He calls up their help desk, and they can't find it either! The manager comes back and tells me that he "pulled some strings" and had them re-create my invoice. He said because it had been over 30 days since ORDERING (not even picking up, mind you it took over a week for it to arrive) I would have to call the Staples customer service line, set up a pick up time for the item, wait for a special delivery truck to pick it up, wait another week until they received it, and wait another 7-10 business days for a new one to arrive. NO THANKS! I went down the street to Home Depot and found the missing parts. I will NEVER order an item from Staples again! read more

I'm new in town so when my PC had a problem (locking up and staying at 99% disk usage) I wanted to take it to a known brand. Staples was more expensive than others but I felt they would be fair with me. I went to the Staples in West Springfield, MA. I shouldn't have. Staples charged me $160 for a PC diagnosis. I thought it was high but I thought I'd get what I paid for. I was wrong. Staples ran diagnostics on my PC. They said it passed the hard drive, memory and sys loop tests but crashed on the CPU test. Staples recommended I purchase a new PC. (!) What would you do? I took my PC down the street for a $20. diagnosis. The other company called promptly to tell me that the hard drive needed to be replaced. They charged $170 for the new disk and Windows installation (and no charge for the diagnosis). My PC has been working ever since. I went back to Staples to ask for a refund. I told them the story above. They refused to take any responsibility for their mis-diagnosis. Instead they said "they stand by their recommendation" that I should buy a new PC. I asked if they'd change their mind if I brought this PC back in working order (with only the new hard drive) in 6 months. No, "they stand by their diagnosis". Messed up our wedding invitations-We printed our invitations on nice card paper and used 2 ink cartridges in doing so. Figured we would have them professionally cut which was the opposite of what staples did. They cut them all crooked and messed up. After having them condescendingly and unprofessionally lecture us on how this was our fault for "printing" them crooked they went ahead and said the worker placed too many in the cutter at a time which is why they came out messed up. They gave us paper and a refund and now we are out time and two cartridges of ink thanks to these guys. I'd go somewhere else if you are looking for similar services read more
