One of our friends in the industry said his favorite dive bar in Denver is Star Bar. Marked the mile from our hotel to try it out and it did not disappoint. The bartenders were very friendly and fun and we had a great time, especially with the photo booth before we left!

I love me a dive bar! This place is super cool bc of its location and so close to so many bars but it a great place to hear some live music and not be in a dirty crazy bar. The service was quick but the bartenders go out of their way to be nice, which wasn't a bad thing, just did their job and walked away. I did not have any food but overall it was a good experience. Reasonable of priced drinks for the area

This a dark haven in the middle of a corporate nightlife district. I liked laid back atmosphere. I really liked the jukebox that was blasting a playlist of my favorite nu metal songs from around the turn of the century. I was able to get a drink quickly, though I wish more local beers were on tap. Seating is available at the bar and at some high tops in the main room. An outside patio with limited seating is also available.

Best bar in Denver is all I can say. Have been coming here for years and it's pretty amazing when the same bartender still knows you even though you only come 2x a year.

Best dive bar ever! Great ice cold beers that rotate so you can try something new. They also have tiki inspired cocktails that Les & Matty can whip up. Word of advice don't write a bad review for the bar if 1) you get yelled at for smoking weed inside the establishment - duh and 2) if your car is towed out of the neighboring lot which star bar does not own or manage. Read the signs and be an adult.

Oh yes, Star bar is my kinda place. We came in with a group of coworkers to keep the party going. This is definitely a place I would frequent on a regular basis if I were nearby. No frills, cheap drinks, and a long bar full of locals. They got some games and a photo booth (which we fit a stupid amount of people into) and plenty of room to escape alone or bring the whole crew. I checked out bars on all ends of the spectrum while in town and star bar is where I feel at home.

Zero stars. Trash place with a trash staff. They treated us disgustingly and wouldn't serve us because we are from Florida. Losers.

When we arrived, most of the covered seating and heater areas were already taken, so we ended up sitting in one of the uncovered sections. As it turned out, that was a blessing because the views were amazing. From where we were seated, we had beautiful views of downtown Denver and the surrounding cityscape. Between the skyline, lights, and rooftop atmosphere, it created a memorable evening. What impressed me most was the ambiance. The lounge had a lively but relaxed energy, and people were friendly and approachable. It felt like the kind of place where you could enjoy a date, meet new people, network, or simply unwind with friends over drinks and conversation. My date ordered food, but I honestly don't remember everything he had. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food, but since this is a rooftop lounge, the atmosphere was really the star of the show for me. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would return for the views, the social atmosphere, the drinks, and the opportunity to meet interesting people. Perfect for: Date nights, networking, socializing, drinks with friends, and enjoying Denver's skyline.

Looking out over the city lights while enjoying a cocktail created an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was everything I was looking for--grown, sexy, sophisticated, and relaxed without feeling pretentious. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, have great conversations, and enjoy the scenery. Then added by great service. The drinks were elevated and expertly crafted, with flavors that felt thoughtful and balanced. You can tell the bar takes pride in its cocktail program. And let's talk about the nachos--absolutely amazing! They were loaded with flavor and easily some of the best I've had in a lounge setting. I wasn't expecting them to be that good, but they definitely stole the show. Between the stunning views, upscale ambiance, creative cocktails, and delicious food, Peaks Lounge is a must-visit when you're in Denver. I'll definitely be back for another late-night experience above the city.

The food and drinks are very mid and overpriced. The cheapest glass of wine is $16. The chocolate fondue was just melted chocolate with store bought cookies, brownies, marshmallows, and pretzel rods. The Bavarian pretzel is a great size but it was so overcooked that parts of it were rock hard. Come for the ambiance but only get one drink and I'd skip the food.

Both my girlfriend and I asked him multiple times to stop, but he continued anyway. After it became clear that he wasn't going to respect our boundaries, I raised my voice (not yelling, just firm) and asked that he stop serving us and that another bartender take over due to his aggressive and inappropriate sexual behavior. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, he immediately told both of us to leave the bar. This was an incredibly uncomfortable situation to deal with, especially on New Year's Eve, and it left us feeling embarrassed and disrespected. The first thing my girlfriend said to me the next morning was how uncomfortable that bartender had made her feel, which says a lot. I truly wish we had never gone to this bar. No one should feel pressured, sexualized, or thrown out for speaking up when their boundaries are repeatedly ignored.

Lincolns absolutely delivers on the speakeasy vibe - from trying to find the door, to figuring out how to actually get inside (LOL), to settling in with drinks once you're finally through. It makes the whole experience feel interactive and memorable. **Tip: it actually isn't too hard to find. I won't completely spoil it for people who want the fun of the hunt, but I'll leave a few hints at the bottom. The drink special that night - their version of an Old Fashioned - was excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The other cocktails are liquor + mixer with the soda or bar gun. We tried a local gin (can't remember the name) & soda and a Four Roses Bourbon & Pepsi. There was a odd flavor that came with that round and tasted watered down. Stick with the special. So good! I'd go back all day for the special alone. The staff was a little bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the experience. Everyone was nice, but they didn't seem especially engaged, and the attire didn't really match the speakeasy atmosphere. That said, the space itself is large and immersive enough that once we had our drinks, we just leaned into the whole experience and had a great time. HINTS: 1. Go to the address listed... duh. 2. Something is COOKING through the glass. 3. Find the stairs down. 4. If you hear music and see some impressive doors, figure out how to LIFT the handle to get inside.
