I went here based on the reviews. I went through the drive-thru and order the Star Burger Special basket. Service was pleasant and fast enough to know they starting cooking my burger after I ordered. It came with fries and onion rings. Food was hot, good, and reasonably priced. Great place if you live in the area because I am not a fan of eating outside. It worked for me because my mom lives near by so I had a place to eat. Next time I go I will get the shrimp or fish for her to see what she thinks as my mom is a big fast food seafood fan. read more

First off, they close at 3:30, not 7:30 like yelp says. I arrived close to 4 and the owner was like "no problem" and happily took my order. A little over $7 for the burger, fries, onion rings and a drink. The burger was a decent sized burger and delicious. The cheese perfectly melted, ingredients fresh. We were in the area and hungry so I turned to Yelp for direction. I found this place. I ordered the star burger (cheeseburger with bacon and jalapeño) the jalapeños are not for the weak. They had quite the kick. The fries were great and the onion rings even better. The batter didn't fall off the onion after one bite and the onion was sweet. The only downfall was the burger patty was on the bland side. So on the occasion where my bite didn't include bacon or jalapeño the flavor was lacking but not so much so that I wouldn't return for another one. read more

I'll keep this review to just the food because the pictures and the other reviews are right on point. I saw the 4.5 star rating and read all the reviews. As a burger guy I had to give it a try. I'm all about non franchise burger joints. This is your typical old burger joint. I don't know but it looks like it's been there forever. I ordered the bacon cheese burger basket. It was ready pretty fast. The pictures on here are exactly what I received so I didn't see the need to take any. The onion rings were 3 stars. Not great but not bad either. They had no seasoning in the batter. The fries 3.5 stars. They were not hand cut but for frozen not bad. They were seasoned with just the right amount of salt. I would say just a hair above your average frozen fries. The burger was 4.5 stars. It wasn't that it was this thick juicy hand formed fresh ground patty, because it wasn't. Somehow it just all worked. The bun was toasted, the toppings were fresh, the bacon was crispy, the cheese was melted. It could just be because the bacon, cheese and mustard were on the bottom and the lettuce, pickle, tomatoes and onions were on top. My taste buds were hitting the mustard, bacon and cheese first. If you've never noticed that a burger tastes a little different when you flip it over you should try it. It is especially true when there is mustard on one side and mayo on the other. Whatever it was it just worked. It had that old school taste. To look at it you would think it looks just like every other burger but it's got something I just can't put my finger on. The patty was thin so don't be afraid to order the double if you are really hungry. Overall a solid 4 star experience for me and I will be back.
