    Cheeseburger

Soooo disappointed in this place now. It used to be so good, so fresh, and now it's nothing more than a dry frozen patty heated up and placed on a mediocre bun. We will be sadly removing this restaurant from our list.

    Black Angus Beef Burger 8oz

Divey burger joints usually get there for the cholesterol-laden goodness. This place? It's just OK. First, it's clean and quaint with much Pepsi-themed kitsch adorning the walls. (Bathroom was filthy though ... at noon, no less.) The service here is really clutch. The burgers though? I had a half-pound "Black Angus" and it just felt like I was eating a 95-5 (fat ratio) mix ... slightly rubbery. Not terrible by any means, but just not great. And not worth the price point. (Another reviewer mentioned that this place is "super cheap." Not true. In fact, Stomp's and Hubcap are less expensive.) That said, our orders were hot and fresh ... and correct. They use Romaine lettuce here, and that's a good thing. I'm a sucker for crinkle-cut fries and these certainly hit the spot. The buns here are also some of the best I've had -- anywhere. Would I come here again? Yes. But I wouldn't travel from Seabrook for the experience.

Bulgogi Sandwich, with fried egg and onion rings

Stopped by here for a late lunch. I had the 40z burger with mushrooms, my son had their special bulgogi burger with an egg on top. My husband had the 6 ox cheeseburger. My husband and I got tots and our son had the onion rings. Walking in the place gives you a mom and pop vibe. The decor reflects that old timey feeling.. My husband and I really enjoyed our burgers, they were cooked and seasoned just right. Came on a toasted , fresh homemade bun. The burger comes on a tray with your side and the toppings ( lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles) are put on the side . I like this because your bun doesn't get soggy everything is fresh. The tots were super crispy. My son had the bulgogi burger and he loved it. He especially enjoyed his onion rings , he said they were crispy, flavorful and bite through. We will definitely be back to enjoy their tasty burgers.

Good lord in heaven, these people do an amazing job making a cheeseburger ya'll. Whataburger, Smashburger, and Five Guys... ya'll watch out! Burger House has you in their sights... Anyway, folks this little, unassuming place in League City is one of the BEST KEPT SECRETS in the area...well until now. So once again, I ordered from DoorDash for work. The meal was hot and tasty when it arrived and lord have mercy, there's a whole lota burger there. The fries where super tasty and plentiful. This is yet another place in the area I'll be paying a visit to soon. Ya'll do a right good job there at Burger House, so keep up the good work. Excuse me my lil redneck talk there "right good job", but when I have damn good food, it just comes out. Ok, that's it folks, go try these guys out, you'll be counting down the days till you go again, trust me!

    Bulgogi burger combo.

It's the Friday before the Fourth of July, and I was craving burgers. But instead of heading to the Golden Arches or even the Orange W, I dropped by this somewhat obscure fast food gem in the heart of League City. Two words: bulgogi combo. For eight bucks, you get a burger filled with the most famous of Korean meats in addition to fries and a drink. The burger -- and with apologies to Dairy Queen -- is an absolute hunger buster. Much appreciation to the cooks who prepared and cooked the bulgogi. The sweet taste was made possible by the ample amount of seasoning. The restaurant has a salad bar where you pick the vegetables to complete your burger. Get this, however. You're not allowed to make a salad. Ironic, right? My rating is actually 4.5 stars. I docked .5 because the man behind the register had a seemingly bad attitude.

4oz burger with toasted wheat bun

Love love love burger house! It's super cheap and very good. It always comes out fast no matter how busy they are and they employees are always very nice. They have a open topping bar but as of December 19 if you want tomatoes on your burger tell them when you order your burger because they don't have them anymore on the topping bar they also now have wheat buns! And they are just as good as the original ones! The 4oz burger is such a good size so if you are trying to pick between the 4 and 6 there isn't that much of a difference and if you want it even cheaper they always have lunch specials which is usually the 6oz burger with fries and a drink for 7.99! Love burger house and will continue going

The food is great. The ambience is casual diner-like, nothing fancy. The service is impeccable.

Don't eat here often (3-4 times total), but I always enjoy the food. Definitely better than any fast food joint.

The lettuce was old. The taste of the burger was nothing to write home about. I got the worst food poisoning ever from this place.

It's really hard for me to write this review & I'm teetering between 2 & 3 stars, BUT kindness goes…read morea long way with me so I'm giving 3. I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Mary the Manager never missed a beat - she was making it all happen and made it look effortless - with a smile on her face. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The coffee was their own brand and the flavors were Pecan and Cinnamon, very smooth, and very hot and refilled often. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Oak Cafe in League City on Main Street and ask for Sal and get ready for a great expericence and excellent food and service! I live in Woodlands Tx and will drive 60 miles again to eat at this place!
