Food was decent. Alcoholic drinks were great. Service was excellent. Ambiance was kind of old and dingy and hot.

The saving grace for this visit was the comfortable seats.... However the fact that we could hear both movies on either side of us, in additions to our movie was really disappointing. Secondly we used to visit the star grill regularly but they raised their prices astronomically $6.00 for a glass of tea??? Really? I mean I get that is a theatre but come on! Then the appetizers $14.00 for spinach dip.... Cheese quesadillas started at 12.00 to add chicken 4.00 or steak for 6.00.... Be prepared for the sticker shock!

Only $2 extra for reclining seats!!

Not sure why others have bad experiences here or whatever but I have never had one especially since I have been going more regularly by myself or with others. The food is good and always arrives hot & fresh. The cocktails are decent but I appreciate the wide variety and the fact that they have a full bar. Maybe the bartender just needs a little more practice on certain things like presentation. I'm never disappointed with the mango margarita or the espresso martini here so it's still a win. The servers are okay. They're sometimes fast, sometimes slow, just depends on who you get. Most of the time they forget to give me my water but that's okay, I always have one in my bag lol. The recliners are super comfortable but every now and then you'll get one with a bad head rest that's scratched up a bit but it won't bother you throughout the movie. The restrooms are always clean and the theatre itself is always clean. I highly recommend coming to Cinepolis on your movie outing!

Additional Arctic addons to your tickets include zip line, wall climbing, and a large swing each offering great views of the lights. We partake in zip line every year at $10 each (or even cheaper if you get in on their promos of 20-50% off online throughout the season). Throughout the park there are craft options from ornaments to cookie decorating ranging from $3+. We did the leather stamping and snowman tree stump ornaments. There are several truck eateries around the park with many opportunities to enjoy that traditional holiday hot cocoa. Also shopping can be found inside the main lodge behind the beautifully decorated tree in the center of the facility. This year differences there was a small train (not sure if it was included in ticket price) and an end of the night fireworks/music show at 9PM. Overall my family enjoyed our second visit and the themed room that was decorated in all things Nutcracker. I definitely plan to make this a continued family tradition!

My wife told me about it and I saw several people online say it was pretty great. I knew very little about it, other than those rave reviews that were coming in. Well, it turns out it's basically a Christmas Fair for kids. There are a million stands for food and various treats: cookies, smores, candy, etc - with plenty of savory stuff too. Aside from the food, there's: train rides, a petting zoo, a huge zipline, rock climbing, a massive electrically powered swing, horse rides, cookie decorating, music, and about an 8-10 minute firework show at the end! The only downside is that this appeals to young kids and you have to keep them up way past their bed time, especially if you want to stay for the 9pm fireworks. Oh, and it had rained earlier that day, so our shoes were basically mud pits from our walk through the parking lot back to the car. We got a golf cart ride from the car to the park once we arrived, but didn't want to wait in line for that when we left. I went to Sam Houston State about 20 years ago, and never would have guessed that I'd be taking my kid back to Huntsville in 2024 for such an experience. Also, I never realized how large the city of Huntsville technically is because this is at least 20+ minutes from campus.

OVERALL GOOD-My family took me here to celebrate my birthday. Let me start by describing the meal…read moreand service. The first course was a fresh mixed greens salad. At the table, there was only a raspberry vinaigrette dressing to top the salad. It was good, but had berry seeds that were a little off putting. The rest of my group would have preferred a second dressing option such as ranch. When booking, you could choose chicken, fish or vegetarian. We all had the chicken. It was a beautiful plate of assorted roasted vegetables and potatoes topped with grilled chicken. The vegetables were a bit overcooked but were still tasty. The chicken was seasoned, but it could have used a bit more seasoning for my taste. Another guest at our table had the vegetarian option, a grilled cauliflower, and it looked delicious. They served iced tea, water, and there was a cash bar. They were slow to refill the water & iced tea glasses. I might suggest a pitcher of water at each table. The dessert course was a very good creamy chocolate mousse with fresh fruit & a crunchy cookie. Now for the show. This was a combination of acting, jokes, and audience participation. After the rules were explained, we were encouraged to make our way around the room to talk to the other participants to see if you could identify any suspects. The show started with a "murder" and clues were given through QR codes using your phone. Between courses, the actor led us through the story and interacted with the audience. Halfway through, the meal was served. After the dessert course, the actors started the final part of the show. There was a second and third murder, more clues, and the audience was then asked for the provided "who done it" questionnaires. Once collected the show staff went through the clues and announced the winner. The murder mystery part of the event was a little hit and miss for me. One of the neat things was that we had three of the hidden actors at our table. One was obviously part of the performance, but the other two were revealed in the end as actors in the show. During the pre-meal and meal time, they carried on table talk and added their input about suspects and clues just as if they were guests in the audience. Their reveal as part of the show at the end was very surprising to my party and made it very enjoyable. On the other hand, the website with the description of the event suggests "you will not find yourself staring at cheesy costumes, there will be no recited campy dialogue and certainly no hokey song and dance," My party believed all of this was in the show to some extent. I do understand each scripted show could have better writing and different actors which might make a difference. My party also believed that there was too much information and clues provided in the last ten minutes of the show for any guest to actually solve the crime. However, maybe my group wasn't up to speed or different shows/performances could be better planned. All in all, it was a good time.

Customer Feedback - Damage Control, Accountability & New Leadership (Emotionally Expressive…read moreEdition) I have always loved IPIC. For years, it has been my go‑to place when I want to escape into a movie wrapped in comfort, luxury, and atmosphere. There is something special about arriving there -- from the moment you park your car, you feel like you're stepping into an experience rather than simply attending a show. It's a place that usually understands how to make guests feel cared for. But this visit felt different, and not in the way I expected. As soon as we entered the building, I noticed changes -- subtle shifts in the aesthetics downstairs, a feeling that the signature IPIC polish had dimmed just a little. When we reached the upper level, the ticket staff greeted us politely, but no one explained the new process for blankets and pillows. What used to be a seamless part of the luxury experience was now unclear and uncommunicated. It may seem small, but those details matter. They set the tone. Inside the theater, the service delays were noticeable. We waited far longer than usual, and when our food arrived, it came without plates, napkins, or any of the thoughtful touches that define IPIC's standard. Two pans were placed in front of us -- presumably to be used as trays -- but it felt improvised, not intentional. When we needed containers for our leftovers, we had to leave the theater entirely and walk to the bar. In a luxury environment, guests should never have to chase down basic accommodations. At that point, I knew something was off. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for clarity or at least acknowledgment. The first gentleman who approached us was condescending, dismissive, and lacked empathy. His tone alone made the situation feel worse. I was genuinely taken aback -- not because mistakes happened, but because the response lacked the respect and professionalism IPIC is known for. So I asked for another manager. And that's when everything changed. The second manager approached with calm, experience, and sincerity. He listened -- truly listened -- without defensiveness or excuses. He explained the recent change in ownership, acknowledged that the ball had been dropped, and validated every concern I raised. His apology felt genuine. His demeanor felt grounded. His willingness to take accountability felt like leadership. He didn't try to minimize the experience. He didn't try to shift blame. He didn't try to rush the conversation. Instead, he focused on resolution, clarity, and restoring trust. He addressed every issue, ensured we were taken care of, and graciously offered passes for a future visit. I didn't want money back -- I wanted acknowledgment, accountability, and assurance that someone would take ownership of the problem. He provided exactly that. And because of him, I left feeling hopeful. Final Impression IPIC has always been a place that blends luxury with comfort, and while this visit revealed areas that need immediate attention, it also revealed something far more important: the power of leadership that listens, cares, and takes responsibility. The second manager reminded me why I fell in love with IPIC in the first place -- not just because of the reclining seats or the gourmet food, but because of the way the brand has historically made guests feel valued. I am genuinely looking forward to the new changes and hopeful that IPIC will return to the exceptional standard that made it a beloved destination. Mistakes happen -- but accountability, empathy, and corrective action are what rebuild trust. And on that front, IPIC delivered.

Shocked... Hubby and…read moreI hadn't been to the movies in a hot minute, so we took advantage of a free night together. Unfortunately... eeek. First, I do want to give credit where it's due. The welcoming team was friendly from the moment we walked in, and the bartender was wonderful. Even though they were out of every wine I asked for (seven different selections!), she really tried her best to find something I'd enjoy. The only wines available were bottles at a much higher price point, which was disappointing. I'm still wondering what happened to their wine selection. Hubby did enjoy a nice cold beer served in a frosty glass, and that was perfect. Dinner was actually pretty good. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the lobster mac and cheese was tasty, although there wasn't much lobster to be found. Now for the theater itself... The seats are definitely showing their age and are getting a little rickety. Service was almost nonexistent. The one bright spot was a food runner who kindly pointed us to the QR code for the menu and even offered to bring us a printed menu. He was great. We ordered our movie snacks, but that's where things really went downhill. The popcorn was as stale as stale can be, the M&M's tasted old and a little funky, and somehow my club soda came with about four ice cubes and wasn't even very refreshing. The movie itself was good, and we still enjoyed having a much-needed date night together. Overall, though, it's sad to see this theater slipping because it used to be the place to go. I really hope they can turn things around. In the meantime, we'll be on the hunt for a new favorite theater. I'd love to hear everyone's recommendations!
