I go to the movies every other weekend if not every week. Sometimes I go to new theaters and this is by far the WORST one I've visited in the past 4 years. Let's start with the bathrooms.. there is no reason my brother should be slipping on URINE. Following I ordered something and didn't receive it until the END of the movie. On top of that they forgot an order that my friend placed and wanted to REPLACE it with popcorn after she asked a server where her food was, went down and asked the server where her food was and they still made no effort to bring out the burger but instead replace it. When I was leaving I went to go get my card outside so I can just go instead of waiting on the waiter and he handed it with an attitude. He didn't say the usual that servers say "have a good night " or "drive home safe" he just handed it to a random person in our group and rolled his eyes and walked away instead of handing me MY CARD. It was just a bunch of things that added up and for that reason I don't recommend this place. Go to a theater where you will get good service. read more

We've been going here for a few years and are really pleased with the recent updates. We loved the new seating and more efficient bathrooms. Only downside was they were out of pizzas. Ordered a burger and a gyro with side salads and they were great. read more

To be very honest the food here is pretty bad. If it wasn't for the fact that I could get a beer or glass of wine while watching a movie I would never eat here. The conveyance is the attraction, but for the cost charged in the main dishes you'd think a hot meal would be a least hot!!! Service is pretty good, and the seating is comfortable. This is my first time here, went to go see Aladdin with my kids. Definitely give a 10/10! Our beautiful waitress CHRISTIANNA gave EXCELLENT service and was very professional, and of course with 3 children it can be hectic but she was absolutely patient with us. Not only does this location show movies but it provides food as well, and it all came out in a timely manner. DELICIOUS FOOD & FAST PACED!! She recommended us to see fantastic four when it comes out. 100% want her to be our waitress for future movie viewings! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! read more

Great little place to go eat and have a movie. The seats are kind of bad since they do not recline but that can be seen since you are also eating but maybe they could have reclining seats. 5-4-19 ordered drinks and small popcorn. After 40 minutes and multiple requests, our drinks arrived. Finally, we went and got the popcorn ourselves in about 2 min time. The appetizer came out before the drinks. Our food was brought to us after the checks were handed out. Our entire row had similar issues. I heard multiple complaints to servers from people in our area. It was a pretty bad experience. Things have declined the last few visits, and I don't know what's going on. read more

They couldn't get us dressing for a salad and we never received a burger it took the man out 45 minutes for them to get it right, it took us asking for managment for them to get us the salad dressing then the burger come about 10 minutes later still wrong, they forgot the bacon on burger they bring me bacon 10 minutes later. Now they burger is cold, so I ask to warm or make another one. Then managment come back to say don't worry about the burger, but we had to pay for the rest of food, at the end we ask to speak to another manager and they had cops waiting like we had caused a problem, our movie was ruined so they comp the meal but made us give back the movie tickets back, which is okay because we will never return, be warned Eric the manager is the worst no customers service at all. read more

Ok usually I'm not one to complain but when a server steals a customers money there's a problem. Went with my boyfriend 2 days ago and got a large popcorn. The server never brought us back our change. We ordered drinks at the bar tipped our bartender a good amount. We would of tipped our server but she never brought us our change back then after the movie we told one of the servers we never got our change so she told us to wait in the lobby. We waited 10 minutes and saw her talk to one of the managers and no one came over to talk to us. They were just whispering to each other so we just left. Called the manager and she just apologized. Wasn't concerned about who our server was or anything. Definitely won't be back! read more

The price for a movie is reasonable, and it is nice to go to the movies and not be disturbed by talking children. Also the bar and food are convenient, but over priced for what you get... also not that fantastic. The service is spotty and the manager was unwilling to help when we had an issue. We drove over an hour after buying tickets ahead of time for my son's 9th birthday with a couple of his friends to see a movie here. A few minutes into the movie, I was approached by an employee and asked to leave with my sleeping toddler and was told they don't allow small children in their theater. Extremely disappointed I had to sit outside for a 3 hour movie instead of spending time with my son on his birthday. We will most definitely be choosing a different theater in the future. read more

Love this place. I'm retired now, so going to the movie theater is a big outing for me once or twice a month. This is great because I go during the week, few people are there, and I can relax enjoy the movie and have a nice lunch in a comfortable handicapped seat and a cool A/C system. They had me waiting for 20 minutes for my order to be taken, the server was unhappy and didn't provide good customer service, and to make matters worse, my fantastic fours cheese sticks were already cold and they messed up my order, it also took the other server 15 minutes just to bring me my ranch! read more

Very nice seating. Paid the extra $2 for the premium reclining chairs and it was worth it. Food selection was good too! If you buy your tickets online, make sure you pay attention to the date. We were the first people in the theater and purchased premium seats. We arrived 45 minutes prior to showing to order food and get settled in. We were the first to place our order and people began to pour in after. We got our food after everyone else i the theater despite being the first to order. Movie was 30 minutes in and I had to ring again to ask where our food was at. Manager came over and told us the food was on the way they were "just busy " I asked I understand you are busy but we were the first ones to place an order and everyone else in the theater has received their food before us. I had a 9 & 10 yr old who were hungry and wondering why everyone was getting their food except us. He said he would check. Our food came out 20 minutes later mid movie!!!! Needless to say I was pissed as we intentionally arrived 45 minutes ahead of movie time to eat so we could enjoy our movie. We received a $75 dollar ticket!!! No comp, no apologies for anything. Management is awful and service was awful. Not to mention the fried cheese was burned and we received 1 napkin to share between 3 people. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is trying to have a smooth family visit. After paying $32 dollars for 1 adult and 2 kid entrances..... plus $75 dollars for food only to receive crappy service, I think I would rather order an expensive steak dinner and watch this at home on my firestick!!!!! My family has experianced some sort of food poisoning the past two times we have eaten there. The last time we went my boyfriend was so sick he couldn't even get out of the bed except for to throw up or poop for an entire day. When I went today with my children, we came home and myself and my daughters threw up within two hours of leaving the theater, all experiancing diarrhea. It took twenty to thirty mins just for us to receive our drinks. We went to the earliest viewing, and while I cant attest to the occupancy of the other rooms, ours had four other small groups of people in it, besides my children and myself. It should definitely not have taken as long as it did to get our drinks. It took an additional twenty to thirty minutes to get our food. I ordered the catching fire burger and sweet potato fries and my children both got chicken tenders with fries. When the food came out, I expected a spicy burger (hence why I ordered something with spicy ingredients) and the burger was bland, seemingly no seasoning on the patty and I had to keep dipping it into ranch for any flavor. My sweet potato fries were Luke warm, something I was not pleased about considering how long we had to wait. My kids chicken tenders were a joke. Mabe a centimeter thick, hard, (I mean really hard, it was hard on my adult teeth, I can understand why mym toddler couldn't eat them), mostly breading. Their fries were much hotter than mine. For one bar drink, two small drinks, and our food, I paid 45 dollars! Ridiculously overpriced anywhere you go, and combined with the quality of the food I was very upset. All in all I spent about $80 for myself and my kids to eat a sub par lunch at a theatre where the lights were not even down during the movie. For the amount of money I paid, I could have seen a movie at the grand, eaten lunch at red lobster, and went shopping afterwards. 1/5 stars. read more

If you're looking to have a movie date night, this would definitely be the place to go! This theater is clean and has a bar/lounge area you can sit at before/after your movie, which is nice. I particularly like that the seats are roomy and comfortable, and you can order food/drinks while you're watching the movie. While you may still have to get up to use the bathroom, having someone deliver snacks, drinks, and real food to you is so convenient. At first, I thought waitstaff running around throughout the movie would be irritating, but I rarely even notice them. read more

This is the only place I will go to to watch a movie. The place is always clean, everyone is really nice, the food is good (even though they changed the menu and now my favorite entrée is gone : ( ) Sometimes the waiters can get in the way during the good parts but that's ok considering the last time I went to The Grand I literally walked out and got a refund due to all the high school kids throwing coins, and calling each other during the film. I do however, wish they had a couple more movies to choose from. read more

This small modern cinema is the place to go if you enjoy an extremely comfortable movie viewing experience, real kitchen food and being waited on. We reserved four seats that recline and have foot rests. It was literally so comfortable, it was like watching a big screen movie while lying in bed. We recommend the popcorn shrimp, the porky bacon burger, and the chicken mac & cheese. Attentive servers took our order and brought out our snacks and lunch promptly. We loved reserving our seats and buying our tickets ahead of time through their website. We'll be back - most relaxing movie experience ever! read more

This is probably one of the best ideas ever unfortunately this location is not the best. I have been here three times (due to friends) and each one was a horrible experience. From the front kiosk where you purchased the tickets to the theater room. As soon as you walk in the door you're lucky if you're greeted by somebody most of the time you have an unfriendly person behind the counter handing you tickets. No to the employees ever smile or ever seem happy to be at work that can be one of two things really poor management or just horrible employees. Tonight I went into watch a movie with my friend there was literally no one else in the movie theater. As we set down we crack jokes about how empty it is . Unfortunately the joke was on us. I literally had to tip the lady $30 just to make sure we could have someone come wait on us. After placing an order I got my appetizer and we then waited for food over 45 minutes later or food arrives less than five minutes after that I was given a check and then never saw my waitress again. I'm not upset that I dropped $80 on dinner i'm disappointed in the quality and customer service whether I tip you two were 30 I should be waited on with top customer service so that I might want to be a returning customer on my own not when I'm drugged out by friends. read more

I would like to start off by saying I normally give great reviews however this was the worst experience I've ever had at a movie theatre. I wish I could give zero stars. The movie was great seats are ok. Service is absolutely horrific. First we got there and the lady at the ticket stand who had to print our tickets acted like it was a inconvenience for her to do so but I shrugged it off knowing that it was late and I'm sure everyone was exhausted. Sat down hit the red button to order food and it took them a while to come take the order which again no big deal but when she finally did come take the order I was told the kitchen was closed even tho she just took a food order from the person behind us. After me telling her that she said fine I guess the kitchen can make the burger. I get the burger fairly quickly and then waited about 20 min for our drinks and box of candy and still didn't have them so I pushed the button again, a guy came over asked what I needed ( extremely loud) I told him we still didn't have our drinks or candy and he said o sorry Joanna must be busy she should be by soon to get them for you (he could have just gone and gotten the two root beers and butterfingers but whatever). Waiting another 30 min before I pushed the button AGAIN finally our server Joanna came by and asked what we needed and I told her we still didn't have our drinks or candy she said ok give her a minute no I'm so sorry I forgot just an attitude for being bothered. By the time we got our drinks the food was cold and the movie had been on for an hour and fifteen minutes. I was so irritated about not getting our drinks and trying to get service I missed a few parts of the movie even. This is the worst service I have ever had and I will never be back to this theatre. I love this theatre! The interior decor is very nice. The bar is well supplied and has a good selection of beer/mixed drinks/sodas and friendly bartenders. Actually everyone is super pleasant and helpful. It's fun to go early and have a drink at the bar and then order your food when you watch the movie. The menu is fairly standard burgers/sandwiches/chicken type selections, and the food is good - not fancy - but very good....and the prices for both tickets and food are righteous. I think the seats combined with a table right in front of you makes it comfy and convenient. As I said, I love this theatre! read more

It cost almost 17$ for two adults to get in and I had a large popcorn and hubby had a small popcorn with two Dr Peppers and that was 18.40 $ ! Terrible service from out waitress. Refused us service telling us there was only 10 minutes left in the movie, started my timer a few minutes later and it ran up to 25 minutes at the ending credits. Alerted management who made excuses for her. She didn't even have the decency to come take care of her ticket herself. Didn't have the balls to do it herself so sent someone else. The new seating is awesome. However, the cost to upgrade tickets should accompany the food and wine. The food was average. The wine selection poor. 2 Pinot Noir on the menu. I ordered a bottle that was not available because they were out. Asked for them to sub the other Pinot for same price range. The manager was not accommodating or personable. Horrible service. DO NOT GO HERE. They allow 5 year olds to run rampant in Friday night R rated movies, take forever to get your food and drink, and the staff is rude! Had to talk to Mike the manager about the children screaming in the theater and jot only did he get an attitude but he told me that it was "company policy" that the children were allowed in because they were with adults yet they won't let a 2 3/4 year old into a Tuesday matinee kids show! Buyer beware, do you want to know, as a customer, what you are worth to Star Cinema Grill Conroe according to its manager, Matt? You are worth $20.00! My wife and I had planned all week to have a date night and watch the Joker. We purchased our tickets online this morning at 8:14 am and received them via an email; however, upon arriving at the 7:30 pm showing we found the seats were occupied. According to the manager, the individuals sitting in our seats had purchased tickets for another day, but by its own mistake/admission, the Star Cinema Grill Conroe personnel had told the other customers that their tickets were for today. Even though we actually purchase the correct seats for the correct day, we were told we could not have them and were offered two movie passes (as they did not have similar seats available)! I asked the manager, Matt, if he had children and had to arrange for a sitter and drive 45 minutes on his date night to the cinema if he felt $20 was the proper action from the company perspective and his response was "Yes". I was shocked to hear this as my date night with my wife was ruined by this situation and all we could do is go home. I don't complain often but this was outrageous, and I want people to be aware of this company's policies regarding its mistakes and ruining your day. read more
