The shirts were pressed and starched and smelled good. Unfortunately, one of my favorite shirts had the maroon stripes worn off the collar and cuffs. I've attached pictures of the damage. I dropped the shirt off back with them to look at hey back to me because Joe was not around. Joe got back and told me that the shirt wears that way because of stubble. I pointed out to him that the cuffs were worn in places not on the edge, and he told me this was a very old shirt. Look, this shirt was not in this condition before I dropped it off, or there is no way I would be wearing it. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of before, but that is now what I recommend if you plan on dropping clothes off at this place. Better yet, maybe you should avoid going to this place at all. I've had this same shirt dry cleaned at other places without the same results. I've also had ties ruined by a dry cleaning place where I live and they made up for it with store credit.

The seamstress that did my wedding dress made one beautifully and even added a zipper. Other places make them all the time. They are a low-skill alteration fix. The dress was fixed as best as possible by my new seamstress who is near me. Thank God I didn't bring them (Joshuas) my wedding gown! However, my issue with the place is the hours, specifically closing at 6:30 M-F. Dry cleaners probably tailor to those in office jobs, many of which work in downtown Boston. Assuming someone can get out of work to catch a 5PM train, the earliest they will probably make it to the cleaners is 6PM. For those leaving at 5:30, the earliest is probably 6:40. I'm sure they lose out on a lot of business by closing before their target market can realistically make it to their location. Very strange business decision. Although I've only seen middle school girls working there, presumably there is an adult business owner there that can learn some business sense.

I don't usually write reviews unless service is either stellar or someone really angered me. This, fortunately, is one of those former times. I've been to this place two or three times over the years. The first time it was just for suit tailoring, nothing difficult. The suit came out great and I was very happy with it. The second time was after that same suit got horribly stained. I thought for sure I would have to replace it... I'll be damned if it didn't come back looking brand new. The third time, I brought my wife in. I had purchased her an expensive maxi dress that didn't quite fit her correctly. The gentleman behind the counter had her change into it and then began to clip areas until it hugged her figure just right. He took the time and answered all of her questions and then went so far as to reassure her that they could do anything they wanted her to do with the dress. Upon our return to pick it up after being tailored, it looked perfect on her. High marks for this experience. The last time, I brought a pair of pants in to be tailored. Well due to mitigating circumstances, I completely forgot about them. They must have been hanging there for about 2 months when I went in next to drop off some more clothing. To my surprise, he had those pants waiting there with the others when I came to pick them up. No extra storage charge or anything like that. I just paid for the dry cleaning. This is how businesses should work! My single regret is that we live far enough away now that I can't frequent this place as much as I'd like, but I'll still make the trek for tailoring service.
