I think my most recent BLS course with him was my 3rd consecutive renewal session. He does a great job at explaining all of the important information we learned on the learning modules during the in-person skills training. He gives live feedback on your performance, and offer suggestions on how to improve/modify your technique. It's also a same day certification, which means the certificate is available within 5-15 minutes after the class. Highly recommend if you're looking into taking a BLS/First Aid courses!

He was a bit shy when I asked his name, although I'm pretty sure he told us at the beginning of the class, but I forgot. But I will tell you that man kept me laughing and engaged, I didn't doze off even once. I felt like I left the building with a good solid foundation for my new job. I heard that the business is looking for a new home, apparently the owner of the building sold it and gave them very short notice. So it will still be in the Mission Valley area and if you are looking to take a PALS class, I highly recommend it.

The class wasn't very structured or thorough. It just seemed very rushed and hasty and a little…read moresloppy. At one point, I tried to ask her a question about whether the breathing part actually delivers enough oxygen, but her answer was for a different question. I felt like she didn't take the time to listen to what I was asking. The CPR training was reasonable, but the First-Aid part was barely addressed. I recently completed a NOLS/WMS Wilderness First-Aid course through REI, and I felt like I learned so much there. And while being in the wilderness may be a significant difference in circumstances, the injuries are not. Blisters, heat-exhaustion, impalements, etc. can all happen anywhere, especially with children. But in the end they were quick to respond to my email, and I got my certification in less than 2 hours, on a holiday weekend no less, so I guess I should be happy with that. I'm just not someone who's looking for an 'easy A'. It's kind of sad, because many of the students that come here are working for schools or the YMCA, and they're supposedly the ones trained to handle your children in emergency situations.

Not only was the course $100, but I did not receive my certification the same day. I have taken CPR courses over the last 10 years and I have always received the physical card or Ecard same day. I have tried to call their main line for days and nobody answers. Finally got a response to my email that I SHOULD get it by the end of the day. When I spoke with the American Heart Association, they weren't much help either. I was told that ACLS has 20 calendar days to provide the information to them so they can mail out the cards. I was not informed of this information at all. Please avoid this company at all costs. They do not care whatsoever after they receive payment.

I rescheduled with another local company and requested a refund. Kaitlyn Todd instructed me I would receive a refund within 6-10 business days. I wait 10 business days and never received my refund. I once again reached out to Kaitlyn Todd who said she would issue me a refund ASAP and was unsure why the initial refund did not go through. It's been a week since I last spoke with Kaitlyn Todd and have not received my refund. I have left a voicemail for her and called multiple times on different days. At this point, I feel as if I have been ghosted and will resort to disputing the charge with my credit card company. UPDATE: Kaitlyn has replied to my email and has instructed me to move forward with disputing the charge to my credit card due to being unable to refund my money at this time because of a backlog of refund requests. Again, I advise everyone to steer clear of this business.

And yet, now Julian models those same behaviors. FDL teachers are kind and warm, but firm. They set a high bar, and the kids rise to meet it. At the same time, there is tremendous fun had on the daily at this school. Julian greets me at pick up with a big smile and a hug, his cheeks flushed from play and sand in his shoes. He excitedly shows me his projects and tells me funny stories and things he learned from the day. FDL is exceptional. If you have the chance to send your child there, take it. Several daycares/preschools in the region claim to be Spanish immersion but aren't actually (e.g., they speak English to the kiddos). At Lulus, I feel like we get a truly authentic Spanish immersion program for our son, knowing instruction is exclusively in Spanish. And it shows. My son 100% understands Spanish when it is spoken to him and he mixes Spanish and English in his vocabulary regularly. She eats all kind of food, actually Ms Gladys' food is the best not mommy's . She reads well, is good at math, follows Montessori. Kumon even complimented her she had passed TK level on math. This is coming to an end for Aria at ABCD as she will start kindergarten soon. It is such a bittersweet moment. But at least I know I will bring my second daughter to her soon. Thanks Gladys and Pablo for loving her, caring for her from feeding 1 spoon of food at a time. She is now ready for K, and she is well equipped because of you.
