Walking in you get a warm welcome, the inside is very charming and the people are very friendly. The food is delicious, didn't make me bloated and I definitely made sure to bring some home. It's reasonably priced and you get a good portion size. read more

Homemade spicy duck sauce was AMAZING! We are in town only for one day and wish we were here longer. Singapore noodles with chicken and beef was the best I have had! Boneless ribs were meaty! We were a party of 4 (plus a 2 yr.Old) and we all loved everything!!! The egg drop wonton soup is our favorite, no one else has this combo in one bowl, totally delicious together! The egg roles were delicious and crispy! We took advantage of the lazy Susan in the center of the table to share our feast! We had the General Tso's Chicken, sesame chicken, chicken pad Thai and egg fu young. Everything was served hot, crispy and awesomely deliciously! They have a very busy takeout following so the two people were working very had to cover it all so table service was a bit slow but absolutely well worth it! Very clean and comfortable! Let me start out by saying that my review is based off their takeout rather than dining in. Ordering online was easy, prices were average but the food was not great. The food could have been great, if the person using the fryer knew how to use a fryer. The eggroll was overcooked by about 3 minutes which was so brown and soggy and inedible. The crab ragoons were nicely filled with well-flavored crabby cream cheese, but they were also significantly overcooked. I think the cook fell asleep while they were in the fryer. Really a shame because the crab ragoons were the reason I ordered from here again. General TSO and crab Mei fun portions were much smaller than we are used to from other locations. My container of the mei fun was only about 3/4 full. I will stick to my regular Chinese takeout place I think. read more

I tried Star Garden for the first time through Uber eats and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered 2 dinner combos, each came with the main, and choice of regular or fried rice or an upgrade to different fried rices or lo mein, a spring or egg roll, and a choice from 3 soups (won ton, egg drop, hot and sour). The serving portions were great, and the food was good, especially considering it was delivered from 20 min away. Price wise I thought it was super reasonable for what you got, and I also paid more because I went through Uber, I'd def recommend going there to order for even better prices read more

We get takeout from here and enjoy the food very much. They have a dining room, which I would say is very nice and comfortable. You are able to order online and pick up your order. They have several features on the online menu that makes it easy to use and unique. Being able to order extra items for certain dishes is a plus, also ordering more of some sauces, (orange sauce, brown sauce etc) is something we like. Writing this review based on feedback from the kids as I do not prefer to eat this type of cuisine. I did place the order though and their online system is so user friendly! I ordered as a guest so I did not have to sign up for an account and just had to give email and phone number. The place was very clean and has tables to sit down and eat but no one was in there at dinner time on a Friday surprisingly. There were a few people picking up take out orders though so it must be more popular. The portions are big for the dinner option and is enough for 2 meals. My family placed a delivery order from Star Garden through DoorDash the other night. The food was delivered in the time it was promised...no complaints about the delivery process. Because I haven't visited the restaurant, I cannot speak to the ambiance. We ordered a variety of foods and everyone was happy with their selection! I got wonton soup which had a flavorful broth and tender wontons. It was just what I wanted on a cool, rainy day. I also got the shrimp with broccoli and brown rice. There were plenty of shrimp and tender veggies and the brown rice was cooked perfectly, which can be hard to do when you get delivery. My husband got the chicken lo mein - a solid choice and he was happy with his choice. Finally, my dad got the General Tso's chicken and pork fried rice. This meal was another hit! He ate it all. We purchased a 'Local Flavor' deal for this establishment. I went a little crazy for the two of us and ordered Wonton soup, coconut curry basil chicken, sesame chicken and Massaman curry chicken. My wife and I live in East Aurora (about 25min from Star Garden) and this is the only place we get our Chinese from. Christmas Eve a few years ago we ordered on a whim and what a surprise it is, The Massiman Curry is incredible, and the Chicken MeiFun has become my go-to. And FINALLY, a spot that does a properly spicy General Tso's! Portions are large, veggies seem fresh cut and not frozen, and the people there are very friendly. A quick aside about that Christmas Eve order. We ordered about 60 bucks worth of food because we wanted to try a bunch of different things. I was placing the order online but kept running into website trouble. I gave up and phoned it in. We drove out to pick it up and quickly realized the online order ended up going through, so I essentially double ordered everything. I apologized profusely and said I would pay and take both orders. She refused to let me pay for both and was insistent on me taking all of it. She said "Its the holidays, invite your friends and family over and eat!". This is my second time coming to Star Garden. The first time was during their grand opening. The second being tonight. The first time we came here, it was excellent. I had shrimp hibachi and my boyfriend had chicken hibachi. Tonight we ordered take out due to COVID-19. I ordered the seafood trio with vegetables. (Shrimp, scallops, crab and lobster) My boyfriend ordered the orange chicken. He said his was good. Flavorful and no complaints. On the other hand, I was so beyond disappointed with mine. The pros were that it was a good fish to veggie ratio. However, the crab was imitation, and out of the whole dish, I only got one piece of lobster. The fish was also tasteless. Absolutely no flavor. Tried this out since our usual place has been closed and we are so glad we did. This might be my new favorite chinese food style restaurant even though it's a bit further out for me. The crab rangoon is the only thing I would hope to improve because it has little crab flavor is mostly just cheese inside, otherwise everything was phenomenal. Won-ton soup had delicate wontons and flavorful broth. The chicken broccoli was delicious and had a great tasting sauce. The chicken pad thai was hands down our favorite. Star Garden is fairly new (probably been opening 6-7 months), and I had been dying to check it out. Finally got the opportunity yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised! The inside was nice, lots of seating and decorated sweetly. Only complaint is that it was sort of cold, I had to keep my jacket on. We ordered some spring rolls as an appetizer, they were warm and delicious! I had chicken pad Thai for dinner, while it wasn't as spicy as I normally would've gotten it, I loved it and thought the flavor was great. Had to put some sriracha on it, though! The owners were really awesome and gave us each a free piece of cheesecake with our meal, which was such a nice touch. The cheesecake was just as tasty as our meal! This is a cute Chinese restaurant on French Road. I came here with my aunt today. She lives near here. They have a lot of room in here. The decor is nice and there are cool paintings on the wall. There were flowers made of napkins, which were pretty cool. The menu is extensive. The employees are very nice. Everything is a great price. The lunch specials are really great deals. The lunch special menu is towards the back of the menu. I chose the Moo Goo Gai Pan. I hadn't had it before. It was chicken and vegetables with one large scoop of pork fried rice. You also get won ton, egg drop, or hot & sour soup for only $5.99. I left happy and pleasantly full. I'll definitely come back soon for something else. read more

This quiet little gem recently added sushi to their menu, so I had to try. And I was not disappointed. The sushi was fresh and a great price. I also got crab rangoons (10 pieces for less than $6)! Can't beat it! I will be going back. They have a huge menu also. read more

Best Chinese we have found since moving to Lancaster. Good service and can use door dash.

After the virus outbreak it seemed all the local Chinese restaurants were closed. Since my boyfriend and I are used to getting Chinese a lot for our respective work lunches we have been missing it. On a whim we called Star Garden and they were open. I decided to try something different, the Black Pepper Chicken. He went with his go to meal of chicken fried rice. My chicken was chunks of dark meat in a spicy and slightly sweet sauce. I like the sautéed pepper, onion and carrot that were mixed in with the chicken. I love my Chinese spicy and this is a decent option. I got a nice sized container of the chicken and veggies with a small carton of rice. For my leftovers I combined it all and am currently enjoying for lunch! The boyfriend's rice was that yellow variety that I never understand because if they fry white rice why is it yellow? Or do they use yellow rice for that? Anyhow we will be ordering again and like most local chinses places they have very reasonable lunch specials that I'm excited to try. read more

YES! Another wise choice through Door Dash. I am still not venturing out, just doing a fair amount of take out. My daughter suggested Chinese the other night and I was in the mood. We collectively ordered Chow Fun, Won Ton Soup, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Veggie Lo Mein and Veggie Fried Rice. The food was exceptional! The won tons were the type that I prefer - thin skinned. The chicken was more along the lines of popcorn chicken - also a preference. The veggie dishes came with an abundance of water chestnuts. Very tasty. The food arrived very quickly after placing the order. The Chow Fun, a personal favorite, was packed with goodness and lasted for three meals. Nice evening in. I've ordered take out from here a few times. The food is very good and higher quality than your average take out. They have a large menu and the prices aren't bad. I give the food 4 out of 5 stars. What is really different from your average Chinese take out place in the interior of the restaurant. It's beautiful and spotless. The dining room is large a nicely decorated and the tables are covered with white table cloths. They also have a small bar area with a huge TV on the wall. We were looking for a new place to have lunch Sunday and found Star Garden. What a gem! First, it is very pretty! The decor is even better than in the pictures, tables nicely spaced and music is quiet, not overwhelming like so many places. Next, the service was very polite and efficient. When I asked if they could make General Tso's chicken with mild spices, that was not a problem. We ordered crab rangoon for an appetizer and they were much larger than the little purses in a Chinese buffet, and very tasty. The General Tsao's, served with broccoli spears arranged decoratively and with white rice, was very good also. We shared and still ended up taking home enough for another meal.
