Wouldn't go here again. Egg rolls tasted like your typical frozen egg roll. Completely mushy inside. Chow mein was bland. Eggplant and garlic with rice was decent.

    Boneless ribs!

Homemade spicy duck sauce was AMAZING! We are in town only for one day and wish we were here longer. Singapore noodles with chicken and beef was the best I have had! Boneless ribs were meaty! Not all fatty! Absolutely impressed. We are originally from Boston and now live in Florida. It's been a while since we had some good authentic Chinese food! I wish I got more to bring home!

We were a party of 4 (plus a 2 yr.Old) and we all loved everything!!! The egg drop wonton soup is our favorite, no one else has this combo in one bowl, totally delicious together! The egg roles were delicious and crispy! We took advantage of the lazy Susan in the center of the table to share our feast! We had the General Tso's Chicken, sesame chicken, chicken pad Thai and egg fu young. Everything was served hot, crispy and awesomely deliciously! They have a very busy takeout following so the two people were working very had to cover it all so table service was a bit slow but absolutely well worth it! Very clean and comfortable! Will definitely keep going back!

Small portion compared to other places, container wasn't full

Let me start out by saying that my review is based off their takeout rather than dining in. Ordering online was easy, prices were average but the food was not great. The food could have been great, if the person using the fryer knew how to use a fryer. The eggroll was overcooked by about 3 minutes which was so brown and soggy and inedible. The crab ragoons were nicely filled with well-flavored crabby cream cheese, but they were also significantly overcooked. I think the cook fell asleep while they were in the fryer. Really a shame because the crab ragoons were the reason I ordered from here again. General TSO and crab Mei fun portions were much smaller than we are used to from other locations. My container of the mei fun was only about 3/4 full. I will stick to my regular Chinese takeout place I think.

I tried Star Garden for the first time through Uber eats and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered 2 dinner combos, each came with the main, and choice of regular or fried rice or an upgrade to different fried rices or lo mein, a spring or egg roll, and a choice from 3 soups (won ton, egg drop, hot and sour). The serving portions were great, and the food was good, especially considering it was delivered from 20 min away. Price wise I thought it was super reasonable for what you got, and I also paid more because I went through Uber, I'd def recommend going there to order for even better prices

Writing this review based on feedback from the kids as I do not prefer to eat this type of cuisine. I did place the order though and their online system is so user friendly! I ordered as a guest so I did not have to sign up for an account and just had to give email and phone number. The place was very clean and has tables to sit down and eat but no one was in there at dinner time on a Friday surprisingly. There were a few people picking up take out orders though so it must be more popular. The portions are big for the dinner option and is enough for 2 meals. The kids really liked the food and this will probably be the go to place from now on!

Ordered takeout. I don't like to rate restaurants on takeout, because it's never as good as…read moresit-down, but here I am anyway. The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.

This restaurant was recommended to us from Naomi at Strewn Winery…read more We asked if there was a dress code as we were underdressed due to the fact we had just spent the day packing for our camping trip and driving to Canada. She assured us not to worry as the owners are very kind and it was a place you could dress up but accept casual wear as well. So off we went. Pulling in we saw it was a restaurant attached to the Orchid Hotel. And old but beautiful looking home converted to a hotel/restaurant. Once inside I saw white linen table cloths with nice stem ware and crisp white napkins and silverware. I looked at my sister and said I think we are underdressed lol. It was a Thursday around 5 pm, no reservation but it wasn't super busy yet so we were immediately seated. The host was kind, and put two tables together for our party of 5. The menu was simple which I liked. We ordered appetizers to start, the spring rolls and the crab cakes. I apologize for not taking pictures, I was tired and forgot so I'll just say they were delicious. Sidenote: I don't like seafood but one taste of the crab cake and I could have eaten both cakes myself! So very good! For the main course I ordered the Thai chicken coconut curry which had a side of rice. My hubby ordered the salmon with rice and vegetables. From the first bite we both let out yummy noises. We each took a bite of each other's food and I can say the salmon was absolutely delicious as was my curry dish. The portion sizes were great. We were both so full. My brother in law got the lamb-it looked like it was cooked perfectly and he said it was delicious. My sister got the fish and chips-it came with a couple different sauces but all she wanted was tartar sauce and ketchup. She didn't ask if they had any because she didn't want to offend the chef lol. My niece got a beautiful big salad and enjoyed it but neither enjoyed their pics as much as us other 3 did lol. The host was engaging, he explained that it's a family run business for the last 37 yrs and the last 15 years he and his brother and mother have been running it alone. His mom runs the hotel and he and his brother run the restaurant. I recommend eating here if you're ever in the area.

I think it is family run as the mom was in and out of the kitchen and the waiter look related. The service was great, food was plentiful and unique, but make a reservation or you'll be sorry!
