i've taken my car for trouble unfortunately several times. Two times they were different issues and they were taken care of out the door the same day. The third time I took it in it was for a faulty part, which was not their fault and they changed it out at no cost to me. I feel very safe leaving my car there where I'm not being taken advantage of. I've saved over $130 the first time having two of my taken care of. The difference of the $130 from the other auto shop I had gone to was an eye-opener. This used to be my go-to place for repairs, but not after today and my recent treatment. They are pricey for some repairs. But I have to say some of the people there are VERY rude and unprofessional. In recent years, I had an issue with one of the mechanics. I am not going to name names. There was an issue with my Miata and that it would not start. After multiple repairs by this tech., the problems continued. Finally, another person found out why it would not start, and I think he got reprimanded. After that, and the one time I kind of lost my cool with him (which I later apologized for) he was frequently short and rude with me. Now, also, they've hired a younger gal who works the counter and does some of the more minor repairs. VERY rude girl. On some visits it was clear she did not want me to hang around. I was just waiting for a repair to be done once or twice. Totally not checking her out, but I think that's what she thought. She actually refused to help me on 1-2 occasions. The last time I was there, I went to get gas at the self-service island. So, then, one of her friends pulls up at that island. He takes forever and is cleaning his car. She goes out there and starts an extended convo with said guy. They both looked back at me like I was a total loser and POS. I had to go to the other island to get my gas, long story short. In talking with the manager Sean about these issues, he stated "I'm sorry you feel that way." Wow!! I told him I did not appreciate their treatment of me and would not be coming back for any repairs. I know my parents (who I am estranged from) go there often for repairs. So that might be a part of it. But yeah, pretty rude couple of people over there really spoiled my overall experience with this shop. They need to fire this 17 year old girl for sure. read more

Wow - it was like I stepped back into the 60's... I pulled into the station today with a flat tire, hoping to get it fixed on my lunch break. Either Keith or Don, (the one that kind of looked like Wilfred Brimley) had his head buried deep under the hood of another car, looked up and asked "how can I help?" I asked if he had time to fix a flat. He said sure, and dropped everything and had the front end of my car jacked up in less than a minute. With the speed of an Indy pit crew, he pulled the tire off, yanked out the imbedded screw, inserted the patch - and had that repaired tire securely back on my car in less than ten minutes. Before I pulled in I thought that this experience was going to last hours, with a "we'll get to when I can" type of response, but definitely not the case today. I'm old enough to remember this type of service that gas stations used to provide, including that ringing bell as cars pulled in for gas. There was no cashier visible here - behind three inches of bulletproof glass. I was almost going to ask him for directions to see if I was clearly in a time warp. I also thought I'd buy gas from them (an OK price btw) and maybe he would pump the gas, check the oil, tire pressure and wash my windows. Clearly I'm having a little fun here, but if anyone out there wants to see how stopping by a gas station used to be - stop by Keith and Don's 76 on 4th street in Santa Rosa. The price to fix the tire was very reasonable, and I added a bit more so he could get some lunch on me. I just need him to know he clearly made my day... read more

Kudos to the team at Keith & Don's 76 Service! This review is long overdue. This took place about 1 1/2 years ago before I became a Santa Rosan (if there's such a word). My family came up for a long weekend and a belt on our car was either broken or falling apart on late afternoon on Saturday. We would not have made it around town, let alone home to SF. And there weren't many service stations open. I can't remember the specifics, but the gist of it was that they were closed on Sunday and Monday and they didn't have the parts for our car and if we ordered the parts from the supplier, it wouldn't be here til Tuesday. Being stranded in Sonoma County would probably not be so bad, if we had a car, but we didn't. I can't even imagine the challenge of Ubering around town with 2 car seats. The staff at Keith and Don's probably felt our pain. They drove DH to an auto supply store to pick up the part and stayed late to repair the car for us. Realized I hadn't left a review here though have been using the service for four years! They are terrific! Have gotten great service, quick response, courteous always, honest advice and prices. They've worked on my '07 Prius and '09 Honda SUV. Soooo much better results all around than any previous service from (dealers) in the past. I love these guys. My only problem? They're ALWAYS busy! I live in the neighborhood so it's convenient to get my car fixed there, but generally it's best to make an appointment with them because they're in such high demand. The reason they're in high demand? They do good, honest work. I've been taking my car there for 3 years and they do exactly what I ask them to do. When I needed new tires, they told me it was probably best to go somewhere else where I could get the tires for cheaper since they would have to order them. When I needed the terminal changed on my battery, they didn't even charge me because it took them about 5 minutes. They are knowledgeable and trustworthy and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. read more

they were great. I took my dodge durango in yesterday with a broken wheel bearing. they ordered parts recommended I get new shocks as well. I dropped it off today around 10am and received it back @1pm with new shocks and a wheel bearing for under $468. In San Jose 10 months ago I left my car for 2 days to get a wheel bearing fixed and it cost me $415!!! for one item. they are honest, nice and fast! I will definitely use them again! read more

My wife's Chevy Equinox was acting up - stalling out, etc. - and some co-workers referred us to Keith & Don's. They had the car back to us the next day, but when we asked what had been wrong with it the guy looked at us and said "We just gave it an oil change - you can't run it without any oil". We regularly service all our vehicles, so I felt like he was taking a shot at us, as if we were a couple of idiots. Two days later, the car started doing the same thing. Few months ago I took my car to this place for tire rotation. They talked me in to purchasing new tires. They got my agreement to purchase new tires for a specific price. Then they changed the price on me since the lower price tires were not available. Then they added, balancing, alignment, cost of some kind of metal to go on the tires for balancing, disposal, etc etc and made the expect bill to be more than double. I don't find them honest and find them a ripoff. I am not going back there again. read more

Just wanted to write a review of this business. I have been bringing my various vehicles-Porsche 911, ford mustang gt, and currently gmc Yukon Denali. My most recent visit was full service oil change and replacing the passenger side headlight-the do a tremendous job! I made an appointment and they had my vehicle finished on time as always-there attention to detail needs to be commended! They had actually vacuumed the floor! Totally on their own iniaitive! They added some washing fluid, reset my mileage gague, etc-there always very friendly, professional, and honest-that's probably why they've been around with a great local reputation! And there's usually a waiting list-obviously they have repeat business, and I know local businesses near there location where the employees all take there cars.
