Red fish snapper "tartare"

Excellent dining experience at Maker's Mark Distillery. We had Tanya and she was so helpful, checking in about our allergies and making sure we had our food in time for our tour. The dining space is beautiful, gotta love repurposed buildings that maintain history, but are updated! Lunch hours and a small menu, but there are a good selection of drinks - when you are there, try the slushee!

We stopped in for lunch after finishing our bourbon tour and we got seated right away despite it being a fairly full dining room. Not the biggest space but it was cozy. Menu isn't too big but has enough for most people to find something. My parents got the burger and I got the chicken sandwich, both were great! We ended with the pie and mint julep ice cream. Nice little spot to get some food while at the distillery.

What a special place to grab a bite before or after your Makers Mark tour. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and food was delicious.

Very nice and convenient restaurant on the grounds of the Maker's Mark distillery. So - to die for - the absolute best bread pudding I've ever tasted in my life!! Recommend!

I have been many times over the years and it never disappoints. I know they have also gone thru changes many times over the years and still deliver great food and a great experience. We were there midweek before our tour. We had Chicken Pakora Sandwich, Lasagnwich and fries. The Chicken Pakora was really good. It was juicy and a balanced amount of curry flavor. The Lasagnwich is what it sounds like, lasagna on ciabatta bread. It was so good, I might have to try at home with leftovers. We sat outside. It was very peaceful. The service was very good. A little note is that servers are paid a salary so no tipping is necessary. Great job to management for taking care of the workers. If you go to Makers, make time to eat here.

Bread service

After touring Maker's Mark, it is always a must to stop here and enjoy the farm table offerings provided by star Hill provisions. The menu changes seasonally so come ready to explore something delicious. The service is top-notch and the area provides the perfect ambience anytime of the year.

The place and service were on point.. however, the chicken sandwich we had needed a little bit of love. It needed better sauce or more honey sauce on the chicken and more pickled onions, don't be stingy.

Quite simply one of the best meals ever (and that is saying something) ... The Cauliflower Soup was just amazingly delicious, and refreshing and a very nice serving, easily shared with my wife. My wife order the Chicken Sandwich, I had the hamburger... sounds simple, but the Chicken Sandwich had an amazing mango (I think) sauce, and the hamburger was juicy and tender, and about the best I ever had. For desert tried the Bourdon, Bread Pudding, which, again was the best ever. I should have ordered two. It is lightly covered with an appricot sauce, then vanilla sauce. WOW! Also, the service is delightful... and at the bottom of the menu, it states, Tip is included (so considereing this, prices are quite reasonable) as all staff get full pay, with benefits! How nice. Still noticed that some people were leaving a little extra tip since the service (and all the staff) is so wonderful! We can't wait to come back here soon!

Visited Star Hill before our Makers Mark tour. Was immediately seated. Large farms are on as it is a hot June day. The temp inside is very comfortable, but the fans are quite noisy. Service has been quick and professional. Chose the bread flight. Breads were nice and toothy however the butter was quite cold and unspreadable. Strawberry jelly was delicious. The pickled beets were lightly pickled. My son ordered the bourbon ice cream and apple pie. Yes, his parents are a bit indulgent on this trip. We ordered the Wyagu burger with fries. Burgers were excellent and my son is still raving about his dessert.

Decent stop if you need to kill time and are hungry before your tour starts. Pricey, but figured as much being where we are and we got drinks too, so makes sense. Fried chicken was pretty tasty, fresh, fall off the bone, properly greasy and thin yummy flakey breading!! Came with some nice roasted carrots, coulda done without the tasteless peas tho. You could tell those were just once frozen peas. My bf had the cheeseburger which was only average. Fried chix was MUCH MUCH better than the burger. Sounds like tho this place used to be better, but might still be suffering during to rebounding from COVID. However, Fried chix was a good lunch *thumbs up* in a lovely spot!

Meatloaf Sandwich

Asked the counter girl for her favorite sandwich - when she said the Meatloaf sandwich - I paused. Lol. Turns out the sandwich was incredible with melted cheese and a ton of flavor. Looks like they are undergoing some renovations but the place was very comfortable with a nice ambiance and soothing music. Of course - try the Makers Smoothie. Wow! Great visit.

Once seated we were given some recommendations by our sever, Bethany, who did an excellent job of taking care of us. So we ended up ordering the Pulled Pork Platter & Shrimp & Grits. Our meals arrived in short order & everything was outstanding. Our only complaint was the acousticss were pretty awful which made carrying on a conversation a little difficult but I suppose there isn't much that can be done about that. All in all we were more than happy with our experience & we will absolutely return again in the future.

The shepherds pie was just okay. Green fried tomatoes were fine, but missing the mark on the sauce. We ordered a special, souvlaki chicken. It was two skewers of really small, burnt and overcooked chicken with peppers on a bed of what tasted like microwaveable rice. Totally missing the seasoned and bright-herbaceous mix of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and oregano. Just go to the bar. Find some other place for dinner.

My family and I came here the other day to check this place out and grab some lunch and price out some steaks for a Christmas party coming up. You walk in and they have a counter where you order. They prepare your order and give it to you and you go to a counter by the exit to pay. At the exit counter they also have some dessert options and candy. On this trip we grabbed lunch. I personally ordered a hand and cheese sandwich. It was good but kinda small and overpriced at $6. My wife did there lunch special of soup of the day and half a sandwich. Soup of the day was chili which she said was tasty. She got a club sandwich and said it was really good. Had great flavor. My oldest daughter got a corn beef sandwich and raved about it. The counter desserts got to us. I got me and my second oldest daughter this giant m&m's brownie which was cheaply priced (opposite of ham sandwich) and was really good. You know how the corner pieces or a brownie platter is the best? Well this whole thing tasted like a giant corner piece with m&m's. Legit one of the best brownies I've had before. My oldest got cake pops and she said they were really good. On this trip we didn't purchase any steaks. However, we may come back. There ribeyes pricing lined up with local retail stores so I think we would rather support local small businesses like this one this holiday season and give it a shot. So I think we will come back in a a few days and buy some of the ribeyes which run around $13 a pound. Overall very cool and nice addition to the small town of Mount Washington. Not to many lunch spots in This town. So the fact that it's a meat shop to I think it will do well. They do have a spacious inside and it would be nice to see them setup a few tables so people can eat there sandwiches and chili and soups while there.

As well as different steaks and meats. I decided I wanted to grill up some of their steaks that they were advertising on Facebook page. $12.99 a pound for NY strip steaks. I decided why not lets give this local establishment a shot. I went into the newly renovated building and I immediately liked the atmosphere. It was very clean and well lit. They had reruns of Andy Griffith show on the tv behind the counter. (Which I love that show) I was greeted by a woman that asked What I wanted and I asked for two of those NY strips. The price out the door was $23.24 for the two steaks. I went home seasoned the steaks and fired up the grill. My wife and I ate our steaks and we said they were good. They were not the best but they were really good. I will be back to try more items.
