First time dining here. I was in the mood for something different. I've driven by here a couple of times and was curious about it. I went with the Mac Daddy chicken sandwich combo. Although I chose to take mine today, the dining room was small but nice. What stood out to me was the lady working the counter. She was so friendly, welcoming and nice. She made me feel right at home. The fries were incredible! Best I've had in a long time. I was disappointed in the chicken sandwich. It was drowning in thousand island. In fact, all I could taste was the thousand island dressing. I would recommend they put it on the side and let the customer decide how much. It kind of ruined it for me. They were really pushing their breakfast items, so I got the impression that may be more their forte. If I came back, that what I'd be willing to try. I'm not really sure I'd come back for the other items on the menu.

    American burger and tater tots!

The service and food were amazing!! Highly recommend! The coziest place and the cutest atmosphere.

Food was pretty good. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Our eggs were a bit runny even for a wrap and omelette. But the price was great and taste was there!

Cute little restaurant. Friendly service. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Give it a try.

Can't order or see menu through drive-thru. No menus were posted online either. The food has been really good in the past. First time trying the new menu.

Stopped by on a Saturday early evening with 2 others. It was empty at the time we arrived but people slowly trickled in as it got closer to dinner time. The service was great - the server/cashier was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Philly Steak and a Red Bull Slushie. The sandwich was solid. I especially loved each of the toppings (mushroom, onions, peppers). It wasn't the best Philly I've had but tasted pretty good. The drink was alright. I needed an energy kick and wanted to try it. Can't expect much. Half a can of Original Red Bull mixed with shaved ice. They gave me the other half of the Red Bull which was appreciated. I suggest they offer more flavors and sugar free options of Red Bull as my friend wanted to try it too, but she only drinks sugar-free. Overall, we had a good experience. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good. I would recommend trying the Philly Steak. In the future, I'd love to try more menu items when I'm back in town. Prices are reasonable! Parking: Free parking lot at the restaurant!

Service was friendly and nice. Food was hot and fresh, not long of a wait. The inside was nice and warming. First time trying it and would definitely come back!

Very friendly staff, gave us the rundown on menu options. They have breakfast & lunch available. We arrived around 2 so we opted for lunch. The recommendations for top sellers were #1 Chicken sandwich combo & #10 Gyro combo. The chicken was good size, breaded & fried with cheese sauce. I added pickle & lettuce with tater tots. The gyro was a perfect portion of lamb, feta, diced tomatoes, lettuce & tzatziki sauce. Fries & tots were amazing. My only suggestion is to change from Pepsi to Coke products lol

I used to get wraps like this in high school, so they're probably getting some points for nostalgia, but the two times I've been here the food has been good and appropriately fresh, and I appreciate the drive-up window option for COVID safety. I don't go this way that much, but it's an excellent option for a quick stop for lunch.

Their owner is friendly to the customers and the staff! You can tell they love what they do! You should definitely give it try!! They are now on my top 5 places in Columbus! *The pasta was another visit I made for dinner after work I told you am excited about them!

    Chicken Little with fries

After driving to Circleville in hopes of finding some gem or a local restaurant and finding nothing that interested us, we returned to Columbus, starving and this was the first place we saw that we hadnt been to.... So we said yes to the experience of Star Kitchen. Let me start out: this place is well managed and the food is a very good value. You get a lot for your money. The staff has the energy that makes you feel they really care about the place, food and their service. It is clean: dining room, kitchen, bathroom. Staff was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. You order from an overhead menu at the counter (much like a McDonalds) but after you order they bring it out to you. We ordered a Marion Village and a Chicken Little w/fries. Omg. The fries are the star of the show. Yum. You want fries that have a little bit of crisp to them, but aren't over cooked or burnt.... Go here! They even have a drive thru. If you like salt you need to ask for it. They come without and honestly don't need it. That good!!!! The Marion Village is essentially their take on a gyro. It had grilled peppers/onions which trad gyros dont have. Lots of feta. The meat was generous, tender, not dry at all. The tomatoes were fresh. It had a sauce but it was not Taziki, not sure what it was but it was okay. Like I said, its their take on a gyro. I got the Chicken Little... solely because it was grilled chicken. That is a regular sized wrap with chicken, iceburg lettuce, cheese and dressing. The cheese was a liquid whiz type of cheese. I did not enjoy that element. I found the chicken not to be seasoned. For me the sandwich flavor didn't work. However every element was fresh it was merely personal preference that I didn't like the menu item. I saved half of it and when I get home will put franks wing sauce on it and I bet I love it. I should of ordered the Marion Village with chicken vs gyro meat. Imo, that would be the perfect sammy there.

Having just moved to Columbus I had no idea where it was located, but fortunately I could use my phone for directions. It is located in an area called Hungarian Village on the south side. It is a local tavern and from the outside it doesn't look like it might have wonderful food, but don't let that fool you. It reminds me of ittle local taverns in my home town, Youngstown, OH. The people inside (patrons) and the bartender couldn't have been nicer!!! I have issues walking so I use a walking stick and everyone offered to help me. Now to the highlight. I had read reviews of a BACONNJAM BUGER that sounded terrific, so I ordered a Jam burger for my wife and one for myself. My wife commented that this was one of the very best burgers she has ever had (that is saying something because we both are in our late 70's). I thought the same thing. It was not nearly as large as other burgers we have had a places (like Son of Thurman, etc.), but the taste, oh my goodness, the taste! We live at the opposite end of Columbus in Worthington, otherwise I would want Eight and Sand to be my local refuge!

A good selection of seating options: at the bar, some small two tops, and some four tops along the side. Bet it gets packed at peak. I was here at 6:30 on a weekday, and it was half full. Ordered at the bar. The bartender was great. Laid-back, helpful. They had birria tacos as a special, which sounded really good, but I went with the bacon jam burger that everybody talks about. And it is an excellent burger. Great bun; great burger, thick and meaty. Gouda cheese, lettuce, and onions and tomato. And the bacon jam, which was more subtle than I expected. A nice layer on there, adding some sweetness and saltiness, but not overwhelming. Blended well with everything else. There are several other appealing burgers on the menu, and I am interested in what their specials are since this one looked good, so I'm sure I'll be back.

It was the perfect spot for a relaxed, drawn-out dinner where we could enjoy drinks, take our time, and really soak it all in. We had a reservation and were seated right away, which set the tone for the night. Everyone ordered cocktails (I've heard the espresso martini is one of their best, even though coffee isn't really my thing), and honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the drink menu. We started with the Meze, which included house-made falafel, tzatziki, hummus, sun-dried tomato couscous, assorted vegetables, and naan--everything was fresh and so flavorful. They also brought out complimentary focaccia right away, which was such a nice touch. For my main, I ordered the seasonal scallops, and I also tried the chicken thighs with fig, goat cheese, asparagus, parmigiano reggiano, and couscous--both were absolutely amazing. I'd go back in a heartbeat just to try more of the menu. We were there for about 2-3 hours, and at no point did we feel rushed or like we were inconveniencing the staff. The beauty of a Saturday afternoon is there were sports on and TVs hanging on the walls. That made the wait easy. Boy do they know their stuff bc it was pretty much one hour to the minute when they called our name and escorted us to our table. We sat in a booth and took in on the collection of various items around the bar that have been gathered through the years and had some laughs at some of it. It was almost like a fun game of eye spy! They came to take our drink order and by the time they returned we were ready to order. We chatted for a bit and our food came out in what seemed to be a good time. I ordered the Patty Melt with onion straws. My husband got the Thurman Burger. We were surprised by its size when they came carrying it out to our table. Believe it or not he ate every single bite. Said it was delicious. Mine was equally as delicious. Maybe not quite as big but that was fine by me. I actually quite enjoyed that they served the 1000 island on the side. It made it way easier to eat. The cheese was nice and gooey. Just perfect. The onion straws were good too. I shared those with my husband. They were actually just as good on their own as they were dipped in any kind of sauce. That's big coming from me bc I love dipping! We got a box for our leftovers and headed out happy with a great first time experience here.

My wife and I started dinner at 5:45 and didn't leave until 8:45 and it was a lovely evening. We chatted for hours, sampled some absolutely delicious food, and just generally relaxed. We had a lovely server, but to say it was just a single person would do the staff injustice. I feel like every single employee in the place waited on us. All of the staff were knowledgable and gave off pretty cool, chill vibes. Three hours is a long meal, but the pacing was superb. Courses didn't come out like beats on a metronome. Rather, the pacing was changed to meet the waxing and waning excitement for the next plate of an absolutely enormous amount of food. The appetizers came in at a measured pace, the mains slowed, and then deserts were served rapid fire. Between courses, staff might stop by for a quit chat before moving on to the next pressing matter. Lots of staff offered their thoughts on their favorite dishes or suggestions on how a plate my be best enjoyed. The whole experience lacked any pressure or pretense. There were fine dining touches such as replacement of my wife's napkin after she stepped away for a break, but it felt more like eating at a cool friends house than it did eating in the ballroom of a palace. Do you know what I mean? You aren't going to Agni for opulence. You are going for a cool exciting food adventure that you aren't going to get many places and certainly very few in Columbus. We had the Midwest Tasting Menu. 11 courses? Something like that. It was expensive, but I don't even mind it. We loved the "Health Sodas" that were curated by the bartenders. My wife had a coconut, lime, and guava concoction and I had some else that was sweet and fruity and tart. The first few bites of pani puri with spiced ginger and then the "happy meal" and salad course really set the tone of a kitchen that puts out excellent dishes with balanced flavors. For me, the best bite of the night was the Thai noodle salad. It was just a perfect amount of spicy with lots of textures. Mine was served with tofu since I'm not a seafood lover and it was the best tofu preparation I've ever had. My wife's favorite was the "soup and salad" course which is hard to describe, but I agree that it was delicious. The low point of the evening's food for me was in the seafood course. My wife loved her actual seafood, but my vegetarian replacement was a miss. They served it with a piece of baby eggplant that was nearly raw; crunchy and practically inedible. I will forgive them, but I think that one needs to be rethought. The end of the meal had lots of little fun touches. The bill comes in a giant lego minifigure head. The restaurant provides a souvenir menu that lists all the dishes that were tried. There were some curated, store-bought candies for take away. All-in-all, it was just an excellent experience. Do yourself a favor and try it, but go hungry and maybe don't try to eat every bite of every dish so that you aren't hurting by the end of the night.
