    Egg salad BLT

Not what we were expecting. Service was decently friendly but SLOW. Tuna sandwich was good. Egg salad BLT was disappointing with VERY little egg salad and soggy bacon.

Lunch this past Friday. We were lucky that the line was short on arrival, as it was out the door when we received our food. Amazingly broad menu. This is an outstanding deli with nice atmosphere inside and a couple of tables outside, which was our selection on this beautiful sunny day. The bread was incredibly fresh. Pickles and a barrel was a nice touch and took me back to the lower east side restaurants I went to as a kid in New York. The knish was delicious, as was the chopped liver. Coleslaw was OK, nothing special in my opinion, but still tasty. Redskin potato salad was a nice offering. I thought the prices were cheap based on what I'm used to paying in Austin for deli type food that is half as good as Austin doesn't have a real deli in my opinion. Not sure why this place doesn't have a much higher ranking. If I lived in Columbus, I would be here weekly. Really.

Waiting for 40 minutes for a sandwich was totally worth it!!! The line was out the door and went fast but this is a don't miss kind of place! The menu is huge and there are so many odd one so try not to get overwhelmed. Everyone working there was really friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. We ordered the club sandwich with no cheese or lettuce, pastrami, and matzah ball soup. All were top notch!!! Always grab a pickle or two, and if you can see an open seat, claim it immediately

Food very good. I have had bigger portions elsewhere. I would like the corn beef to have a stronger taste . The rye bread is perfect . There signature sandwhich need more sauce so just ask for it. Potato salad is refreshing. It's not a southern potato sauce but it is good. Parking is hard and getting a seat inside can be hard but worth it. I recommend trying it a few times. Service is fast and the ambiance is all NYC deli. Don't forget your pickles.

Katzingers is my favorite Deli in the city. Although I keep hearing about long wait times, I've never waited longer than 30 minutes. The ambiance and decor is super cool and they have a huge menu, so there's a sandwich for everyone. The best part of Katzingers though is their sides and free pickles. The potato salad is especially good.

The best sandwiches in Columbus! We come to Katzinger's at least once a month, and it never disappoints. We have a few go to's (#41 and #16), but we like to try a new one each time we go. Every single one has been great! Tonight we got #57 Franklin's Kibbetz, which has homemade mozzarella and pesto and added turkey (bottom right). We also got #5 Mimi's Melody, which has their homemade tuna salad on grilled rye (bottom left). Next we got our favorite, #41 Phil Katzinger's Club, which has their homemade chicken salad, bacon, and Honeycup mustard (top left). Finally we got #3 Ari's Open Door, which had pastrami, salami, and cream cheese (top right). The service is also amazing - the workers are kind and even gave us free bagels tonight as they were closing! Must try.

Everything about this place was fantastic! The deli sandwich's were packed with toppings. And the pickles barrels were eat as many as you want. And the outside of the deli was very pretty since it was covered and vines and had a very nice outdoor patio. And the inside was a well decorated and colorful. With a good amount of seating options.

    #1 Katzinger's Reuben

It was good. We got the Reuben and the tuna melt. The tuna melt was really yummy. Super cute how there are barrels of pickles.

One of the most delicious delis I've ever been to and the staff was super friendly! My family tried their pastrami sandwich, salmon bagel, "Todd is my Copilot" blt and "misty and steff rule the world" blt. Everything was delicious! We liked it so much that we're planning to come back again tomorrow before our flight.

    Is parking an issue?

If you're willing to walk a long block they have a lot on the street behind the deli. Street parking is difficult.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.

It took about 15 minutes to get the bagel and I'm watching multiple people who ordered after me with multiple items get their food and leave while I ordered a single bagel. I eventually got annoyed and went up there and asked him what happened to my order and I guess they misplaced it or something I don't know, but eventually, my food came out I hope because it took so long it would actually be toasted to Golden, but I actually had to take the cream cheese off and see if they toasted it at all. It definitely wasn't toasted golden and again definitely not extra cream cheese. I don't feel like the order is ever that difficult but clearly they do what they want and you're just supposed to accept it. Definitely not gonna keep going here and giving them a chance after chance for them to drop the ball.

We stopped by Katzinger's in Dublin, a very family-friendly suburb, on a Sunday morning at 9 am and picked up the Katzinger's Reuben in deli size. We brought the sandwich as lunch for our visit to the COSI: Center of Science and Industry because they are brown-bag friendly. The sandwich sat in our insulated cooler bag for about three hours before we go to it and it held up really well. The meat was tender but the bread lacked a caraway tang. The diner has a complimentary, all-you-can-eat, self-serve pickle barrel. Realistically, you only need one or none at because it was overly salty.
