I cringed a few times and asked her to be more gentle and she was, but it was still pretty rough. I got ANC and tips and they turned out looking good - a little uneven and inconsistent, but not bad. I also witnessed two employees being what seemed to me quite harsh to another employee. It didn't sit right with me but I don't know the situation. If there weren't better nail salons in the area, I would return but since finding a much better salon, I would not return.

Some were great for a short while but after some time started falling short of my standards. That has not been the case here. I have been booking services at Lavo for around 5 months now and my nails have never looked better. For starters, they have an all-star receptionist. She is so kind and helpful and on top of her job! They are a very busy salon and yet I never have trouble booking an appointment. They are as accommodating as can be. Even when they miss my phone call, I instantly receive a call or text back. I have been serviced by several nail technicians and they are all so very talented. I never bother booking with a specific tech because I know that no matter who I see, they will do an amazing job I was recommended doing soft gel manicures and it has been the best decision ever made. My career is very physical so i would often have a lot of wear and tear on my nails but not with soft gel. The gel polish never chips and my nails have never been stronger. I am usually able to go 4 weeks with my nails still looking great but ready for a fill. I love this salon and as long as I live within a drivable distance I will never change. They are cash or zelle/venmo only. So be prepared. And in my opinion they are charging fairly for services considering the quality of the work. Thanks Lavo!

The business was originally built by your father, who treated both customers and employees with professionalism and respect. When customers are banned for providing feedback, it reflects poorly on the culture of the business and ultimately impacts both customers and staff. In case you are not aware, there are many businesses that offer the same services. This is not about losing a customer, but about losing the opportunity to receive constructive feedback that helps a business improve. As a former loyal customer, I also recall overhearing workplace discussions during services that involved concerns from employees, including conversations related to their tip handling and management practices. These were not isolated comments, and they contributed to a broader impression of employee dissatisfaction. When internal concerns become visible to customers, it is worth reflecting on workplace culture and communication. If private conversations are not properly managed in a public-facing environment, customers will inevitably hear things that were not intended for them. From a shampoo to a scalp treatment, I felt very pampered. The young lady that did my haircut was warm and friendly and she made what little hair I have look better. That was a miracle. One of the kindest was a manager/owner and she walked me through the different kind of hair treatments available. I left in tears as I was so happy to finally have a natural looking wig. It looked like it was my own hair and not like I slapped on a wet puppy on my was. I can't thank them enough. You can't go wrong go there. The do so many wonderful services there. Both times, we were turned away without any real effort to accommodate us. This has been especially frustrating because my mom recently had knee surgery, and it's not easy for her to keep going back and forth for appointments that were supposed to be confirmed. It shows a lack of organization and consideration for customers' time and situations. We truly appreciate Danny and the way he runs the salon when he's there, but the inconsistency when he's not present makes it difficult to rely on scheduled appointments.
