I loooove these girls. You walk in to great music with positive vibes. I always go with Megan and Amanda, they do an AMAZING JOB! The girls really have a passion for their work. Their goal is to make sure you love your nails. If they feel something is off they will not let you walk out because they take pride in their work. Prices are good for the time and effort they put into their work. And they do make sure everything is sanitized and that everyone is safe. Came here once before over a year ago because it's close to my house...today my sister and I were needing mani/pedis and I remembered I had been here once and couldn't remember why I hadn't been back being that its close to home. I remember now! We walk in and one of the owners is sitting in one of the pedi chairs, barefoot, and the bottom of her feel are filthy!!! Which means, their floors must be filthy!!! On top of that, the employees are gossiping amongst each other and up in the manicurists space while they're supposed to be focusing on the customer; the older gentleman who did my nails apparently couldn't see that he didn't properly paint the edges of EVERY ONE of my nails, and they wanted me to sit in a pedi in a chair whose tub was filthy!!!! I had to point out how dirty it was before they offered to clean it; I told them to forget about it, I no longer want a pedi from this filthy place. If you really need a mani/pedi or nails done, DON'T waste your money at this place. read more

I went in to doo my nails and toes in hope of pampering myself until I got there. There were kids right next to them there was a play pen and the lady doing my nails had her baby crying right next to her (in a car seat) while she did my nails aren't the chemicals harmful to kids and there was a cockroach . Star Nails II is new and improved. I Highly recommend people who have been here before, but decided not to come again, to give it another shot. It seems there's been a change in management. I really enjoy the curtains that they have in-between the pedicure chairs as I am a bit introverted and like my privacy. Also they're extremely sanitary before and after every service. With this Covid pandemic I was very worried. I haven't seen any salons taking such precautious measures as this salon is taking. I'd even like to add that they have Amazing services and the ladies here are so welcoming. I absolutely love it and how much it has improved. I will be going there frequently as should anyone who is looking for a clean/safe nail salon. I also heard that they have a plenty of new specials and services on the way. Let me first say.... I honestly only only clicked one star to get to get to the comment section. This place deserves a -0. This is by far one of the worst, dirtiest,filthiest,I'm talking about, the BBB really needs to get in and investigate this place type of disgusting. I went to this facility recently because my usual nail place was closed for a wedding and I had an important event myself and didn't want my nails looking rough!! Biggest mistake of my life!!! They were close, and open, and I was another victim!! I walked in and ignored the fact that the women doing nails had their kids running around and the place was disorganized and dirty. I asked for an American set, the younger, thinner Caucasian girl was the one who did my nails, excuse me, but I forgot her name. After the usual process of preparing my nails for the placement for the acrylic nails, it then gets weird. She is getting the nails and gluing them on, she then files and buffs the acrylic nail and starts with the monomer and acrylic powder. As soon as she places the combination on the acrylic nail and my exposed thumb nail, it burned so much, like so painful, I yanked my hand away, she said it was hurting because I had sensitive nail beds. Mind you, I usually get my nails done and this has never happens before. So I said ok, she does the next couple nails and they are ok, a couple more, and more of that intense burning feeling in my nails. We made it this far so I didn't stop , I should of stopped, why didn't I stop After all the monomer and powder is placed, she doesn't bother to buffer or even file the nails, the way the process usually works, buffed,more shaping,etc, as opposed to the shaping she didn't prior. But no extra nothing, she tells me to wash my hands and paints them clear. When they are done I can see the scratch marks in the nails from the file. But I was stuck with them. Why do woman bitch about everything else but can't bitch the nail ladies out when them mess up our nails To finish up, the glue last forever when is also strange af to me! 2-3weeks tops I'm use to nails lasting, but 6 weeks when they came off, it was like the chemicals had eaten through my nails, my nails were peeling off, like in the middle of my nail. I'll post pic's. But BUYER BEWARE do not ever go to this place, unless you want to lose your nail or get a fungus, the BBB needs to investigate this place and the chemicals they are using, this cannot be safe or hygienic, all the younger girls getting their nails because this is across from Holmes High School. Let me start by explaining that my review for this business is based strictly on my girlfriend's experience for a nail appointment that I had hoped to treat her with. She is an elementary teacher and in my opinion deserves to get her relaxing treatments every so often. The following is based on her frustrating conversation she told me regarding her experience.. It all began when she booked her appointment 4 days prior to her visit as I had told her to treat herself to getting her nails done. When the day of her appointment came, she arrived at the nail salon and the lady at the front desk did not bother to welcome her and was quite rude. (STRIKE ONE!) After a couple of minutes, my girlfriend told the lady that she was there for an appointment to which she responded "What appointment?" Almost immediately another lady comes out from the back and says "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you about her appointment." (STRIKE TWO!) After this confusion my girlfriend stood around for several minutes waiting to see if she would be served, but the lady took someone else that had not set an appointment instead. In an attempt to not be rude despite the bad customer service she was receiving, my girlfriend asked the lady in the front if she could see what shellac colors they had and she was ignored. When she finally came around to bringing out the colors she stated "Can you afford shellac because it is more expensive?!" On top of this rude statement, my girlfriend overheard the employees having very unprofessional and inappropriate conversations about other people's adult private lives in front of her and the other customers. (STRIKE THREE!) After almost 30 minutes of this my girlfriend was OUT OF THERE! Overall, it was very frustrating to hear that what had the potential to be a relaxing and nice experience in getting a nail treatment done ended with such horrible service. I ended up taking my girlfriend to another nail salon where she was very pleased and ended up liking her nails. I do not like to post negative reviews often unless they are deserved as was this one. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My mother and I went to get our nails done after a long time of putting it off. The very first thing that I noticed about this place was how unsanitary it is. I got my nails done by this gentleman that works there. I walked out of the shop very happy with the work he did. Before I knew it, a couple of days later, I was doing my hair and all of my nails were catching in my hair and lifting already. whenever I had the chance, I called The shop and spoke to a manager who was very rude and disrespectful. she had told me as soon as I got off the phone I needed to take a picture of my nails as proof they were messed up - which made no sense. several days later, I went back to the shop and had the same guy who did my nails fix them. They ended up like before: good looking, but were catching in my hair 2 days later. As for my mom, she got her nails done by one of the ladies that work there. A couple of days later, She was doing a simple, every day task and two of her nails just popped off like nothing. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I wish I didn't pay as much money as I did or tipped as much as I did. definitely not worth it. you're better off going to H-E-B and getting press on nails. read more

This place is horrible. I went there a week ago and three nails have broken since then. One nail broke literally the next day after I got them done. I called to see what can be done and they said I would have to pay to get them fixed. I decided to go to another nail salon across my job and they said that my nails were not done properly.
